Valaire

He has a puzzle box given to him by Iphiriel to help exercise his focus and concentration to help him control his magic! It’s a bronze cube with lots of sliding and spinning mechanisms and gears that sort of unlocks and develops more and more as he toys with it. Some of the outer layers have ‘keyholes’ to pick which is where his lockpicking proficiency comes from! It is also incapable of being destroyed via magic so when his powers flare it doesn’t destroy his work. The box also resets to ‘level one’ if he messes up one of the puzzles.

Hemera Solux is actually a Buchanan, a cousin of Zadkiel, Matthew, Lyra, and Augustus although Zadkiel is the only one aware of her existence and the fact that she was given away to the church.
