It had probably been about two months --- maybe three, Tru had honestly lost count --- since she saw her, at first she was purposely avoiding the other woman, but as time went on it came down to just her trying to move into her apartment. Sure, Leah tried texting her and ringing her, but she never got to the call in time, then she told herself a couple days later that she’d return them, but then ‘accidentally forgetting’ to do so until Leah just stopped, she seriously just felt terrified of seeing the older woman, even more so after what had happened, she was still worried she may have ruined things between her family, but she didn’t know for sure and for now she was happy not knowing.
Though the one thing she did know however was that she couldn’t hide from her forever, especially living in the same area as her now, it was practically inevitable, which was clear as day when she saw Leah walk into a cafe one morning and Tru instantly slid further down in her seat, praying that the older woman wouldn’t see her in the back corner of the shop, but as luck would have it, it wasn’t on her side and they had caught eye contact, but all Tru could do was stare at her with a blank expression, her heart beginning to thump rapidly in her chest. She didn’t mean to be so problematic with her, but she still didn’t know how to cope with all of this, she thought time would make it a little easier, but it did the exact opposite and made it worse, god this was a damn mess.
