Thoughts on Nanatsu no Taizai Chapter 105
Hey guys, back again to bring you the latest chapter of Nanatsu no Taizai. So let's get into it.
Chapter 105: A Nobody
Ban shows King further inside the forest. There, Elaine's body is being preserved and King, who cannot look at her, runs off. Ban promises he will bring back Elaine. When Ban said "Someone who tried to kill his only friend" I assume it's Meliodas since that was the order of the Goddesses' Horn if he wanted Elaine to return.
Fairies are throwing rocks and sticks at King for being a traitor of the Fairy clan. Oslo protects King and is revealed to be an animal from the forest. With the forest closing him out and no place within the Sins, King concludes he is a nobody. No one to turn to, King wears Helbram's helmet and somehow sees Helbram's soul. It's revealed his soul is resting in the helmet and was asked by Elaine to be with King for a little longer. Helbram brings up Hendricksen, looks like he isn't entirely finished yet.
Back at Liones Kingdom, the remaining Sins is receiving recognition of protecting the kingdom from evil. Some murmurs being to start within the gathered Holy Knights, seems like not everyone is pleased about the Sins. Before the Sins could receive all the glory, Meliodas shouts out 'Igiari!' on some Ace Attorney shtick.
Feel free to message me what you guys think of this week's chapter.
GRADE: GOOD (B-)
Time to Make a Decision
It’s a good thing Class E’s got another teacher to rely on when they’re in a pinch ((along with their homeroom teacher)).
Having recalled a certain dilemma that he’d once posed to his superior for advice-who proved about as useless as Korosensei’s “Special Instrument”-
Karasuma realizes that he is going to have to make this a personal decision that he believes properly reflects the governments opinion.
Though given the fact that his boss was rather vague on his counsel, he figured his response as being given the all clear to do whatever he wanted-provided he be held accountable for it so that he doesn’t get in trouble.
Some days it pays to have such insipid people as superiors.
Korosensei’s "Special Bodily Instrument"
…Somehow I think this is what each student is thinking when they see their teacher’s “Special Bodily Instrument” that is immune to anti-sensei material.
Not only is this new function of his ridiculously time-consuming compared to his other techniques in the past, but given the fact that the students are wearing the explosive collars, he can just kill them to force Korosensei to stop; which pretty much renders this ability completely useless.
He may be a great teacher in the classroom, but he sure doesn’t apply that same reputation in actually being the threat that the government has inflated him to be.
Plans for Elimination
Having acquired his target with little trouble, Shinigami sees no reason to withhold the next few phases of his plans that will ensure Korosensei’s extermination.
Having reconstructed the special prison he’d made for him to connect to a floodway close to a river, he intends to inundate this floor until enough pressure forces Korosensei against the anti-sensei cage and cut him to pieces.
Much to Karasuma’s horror he did so with the awareness of the fact that he would sacrifice the entire class in the process, using them as a buffer to ensure that Korosensei will not try anything that would endanger his students. ((Which for some reason gives me the vibe that he might know something about ‘that’ day that relates to him holding back on using any extreme abilities.))
And when he directs the same question to Irina, wondering how she could be okay with this plan that would harm innocent victims, he’s given quite the backlash as she reminds him that she’s merely taking the advice he’d given her that time and prioritizing results like he’d told her.
Man as morally wrong as that decision of hers sounds, you gotta admit that you had that one coming, Karasuma.
Capturing the Target
Sometimes the most skilled in the field are those that keep to protocol. But it’s the elites who are the most dangerous, for they can go beyond conventional thinking.
And Shinigami definitely fits the latter as he demonstrates his alarmingly inhuman kinetic skills combined with his intel abilities that are capable of even shooting a target between moving trains; which practically makes him one of the few humans in this world who could keep up with Korosensei.
And after capturing the target in practically under a minute, both Karasuma and Korosensei are completely stunned speechless at this new opponent who proves to be a little more challenging than they’d thought.
