Thriller Bark has no right to be as funny as it is
This is one of the few gags I feel is improved by the anime
Everything about this panel makes me laugh
Fun fact, this newspaper article made it as an Easter egg in the live action
I can't believe Franky stole Chopper's gag
The Enel cover story got a lot more interesting to me when we found out that the people of the Void Century were building super advanced robots
One of the great strengths of the Thriller Bark arc is that the audience gets a good idea of what the big bad's powers are before the fights start. This whole bit with Perona's powers is mostly very funny, but it quickly establishes that physical strength is not the answer when going against these negative hollows. Along with our scenes with an invisible Absalom and the future preview of Ryuma's quick draw, it's just a lot of really nice set up for the second half of the arc.
