"Guess we are over." // "What can I say? It's all too late." // "You're too young for me." // "On good days, I am charming as fuck." // "You are my favourite mistake, the one I keep loving to make." // "You're out of your mind to think that I can keep you out of mine."
“Guess we are over.”
They didn’t fight. It wasn’t something that Katrina and Micah ever did. Their whole relationship, they had only really had one big fight, and that hadn’t even lasted a whole day. Now, here they were, in the midst of breaking up because of some stupid fight that Katrina couldn’t even remember how it started. All she knew was that there was no way she wanted to lose him. Not over something as stupid as this. She knew that part of the reason that this had blown up so much was her temper. She was the one who was easily angered and could be difficult. Micah was always the one who loved her unconditionally and always had. Katrina didn’t want to lose that. He was the only person in her life she felt she could truly count on for anything. The thought that she might lose that was absolutely terrifying. All of the anger that she had been holding onto completely melted away from her body at the realization that she might be losing him at this exact moment. “Micah, no, please. I’m sorry. I just … I don’t know what came over me. I didn’t mean what I said. I’m just stressed and tired, and I took it out on you. I’m so, so sorry. Please don’t let my stupidity break us up.” Katrina pleaded.
“What can I say? It’s all too late.”
“I guess it is.” This was probably for the best. It wasn’t like they could go anywhere anyway. This relationship had been doomed from the start. They had both let their emotions get the best of them and their logic, and honestly, they were just lucky that neither of them had been found out before they could get in trouble. Augustus liked to think that he kept himself pretty logical outside of his work, but this whole deal with Sawyer had proven otherwise. Now that she was backing out, it was giving him the chance to think more clearly and do the right thing. He knew that. He knew that their relationship should not have happened in the first place. Augustus knew that it had been a bad idea. So why did he still feel upset about the two of them parting ways officially? He couldn’t ignore the fact that he was though. Looking at her and thinking this might be the last time that he saw her outside of a professional capacity hurt. A lot more than he expected it to. He had been broken up with before, but it had never felt like this. He had to tell himself though, this was for the best. This would save both of them, and with time, this feeling would go away. It had to. “I hope you find what you’re looking for Sawyer.”
“You’re too young for me.”
Maisie couldn’t help but laugh at that statement. “You’re only a year older than me!” She shook her head at the girl sitting beside her on the bench. “Besides, I’m just as tired as you are.” Maisie sighed, leaning her head against the other girl’s shoulder. She was totally exhausted. They probably should have done this on a Saturday rather than after school, but night paintball sounded like so much fun, and with the deal they were offering, she couldn’t resist. Not to mention it seemed like a fun little date idea. Honestly, they had a good time though. Even if most of the people there had been younger than they were, it had actually been a pretty good stress relief for the both of them. Especially since none of the kids could see that they might be their teachers, it was pretty nice to be able to shoot them with paintballs and not have them know. Now though, she was ready to go and spend some time relaxing with Rian. She took her glasses off, followed by the gloves and slowly made her way to her feet, grinning down at Maisie and reaching to help her to her feet as well. “Now what do you say to cuddling up in front of my fireplace with a glass of wine, and a good movie while I massage your old bones.” She teased her, pulling her close to her.
“On good days, I am charming as fuck.“
Drunken Grant Ward was officially the funniest thing that she had ever seen. She had never really imagined him drunk in the time that she had known him. It was absolutely hilarious though. Grant tended to be such a serious and well intimidating person, that seeing him without those boundaries was such a great sight for Skye. It was definitely one that she would have a hard time forgetting or letting him forget any time soon. Also, the fact that she helped him get this intoxicated with her awesome bartending skills had her pretty impressed with herself. Now, while she was fairly intoxicated herself, she was nowhere near Grant’s level, and she couldn’t help but laugh at his words, shaking her head. “I would love to see charming as fuck Grant Ward. You know the whole time I’ve been here I’ve never seen you hit on a girl? You’re not gay are you? All the handsome ones are.” Skye took another shot, pleased with how smooth it was. It was true though. The whole time that she had been bartending there, she had never seen Grant hit on someone. She had seen plenty of girls try, but he never reciprocated. It made her wonder because he was completely gorgeous and would have no trouble getting any girl if he bothered to try. It made her wonder why he didn’t.
“You are my favorite mistake, the one I keep loving to make.”
This wasn’t something that they did. Sure, the longer this had gone on between Vivian and Remi, the more often that she had ended up lingering a little longer than she probably should. Still, she hadn’t known Remi to ever say anything on the deeper side after sex, and she was a little surprised at just how that made her feel. Was their relationship a mistake? Of course it was. She was dating someone. Someone she had been dating for quite a long time now. She wasn’t supposed to be cheating on him for the past several months. It was a total mistake. Was it a mistake she loved making though? Probably. After all, there had to be reason that she kept coming back to him no matter how many times she felt bad about cheating on her boyfriend, and make no mistake. She did feel bad. Vivian just didn’t feel bad enough to stop it. In fact, she wasn’t sure if she could stop it at this point. Sometimes, she even thought that she was closer with Remi than she was her own boyfriend, and the thought of losing that was pretty scary to her. Thankfully though, she didn’t think it was a thought she had to worry about any time soon. “You’re probably the only mistake I love to make.” Vivian probably responded, looking up into those beautiful eyes for a moment as she drew circles on his chest with her fingertips.
“You’re out of your mind to think that I can keep you out of mine.”
“Hey, it’s not my fault you can’t concentrate on your paper work.” Noel replied as she flipped through the magazine she was holding in her hands. Okay, so maybe she wasn’t exactly making it easy for him. All she was wearing at the moment was an oversized sweater of his, some little denim shorts and his favorite fishnet stockings. In her defense though, she had absolutely every intention of having him as soon as he got home, but when she discovered all the paper work that the hospital had stuck the newbie with, she knew he had to get that done first or it wouldn’t get done all night, and knowing the both of them, it wouldn’t. She had planned this as a bit of a pick me up since Beck had been pretty depressed lately after the Officials had made him cut his hair. Not to mention they were both still recovering slightly from the forced loss of their baby, and one of the ones that Noel knew they best recovered from any strain in their relationship was to get closer with sex, something they were both good at. She stood up, walking over to him and slipped her arms around his neck from behind. “I think I’m going to go wait in the bedroom so I don’t distract you anymore.” She kissed a sensitive spot on his neck for a brief moment before pulling away. “Try not to take too much longer or I might have to start without you.” Noel teased him.
