Evie was in year 4 of owning and operating the Braun family ranch. Even after all this time, she wasn't really sure why her grandmother Burgundy had even left the operation to her. only knowing that she was going to put the same time and energy that she had put into her high-powered corporate career. Of course, under her diligent care, they were thriving her old company even being one of their biggest clients as the ranch grew many of the key ingredients in their skincare products.
Unfortunately, old habits died hard when it came to Evie. She still dedicated way too much time and energy to the job. Leaving no time for the simpler things in life like hobbies or romantic life. The woman had already worked her way through the eligible dating pool in the town around the ranch. Most of them were passable lovers. Their numbers comprised divorcees, unhappy housewives, and older men who couldn't spell the word kink let alone know what it was. It was actually only at one of her former colleague's weddings that she learned that their new partner had been a mail-order bride. The woman had been a voluptuous beauty that was the exact opposite of her husband and more than willing to see to Evie’s needs personally on the night of her wedding. This did nothing but remind her that her needs weren’t being met on a regular basis and that the ranch could do with someone to make it feel more like a home. She had struggled with the idea for weeks until finally submitting an application on the same site as her former colleague. A worse it would be like an escort service with someone agreeing to warm her bed until they grew tired of nature. At best, she might find someone willing to stick around.
"I'm going, to be honest, I didn't expect this to come together as fast as it did," Evie admitted as she loaded their luggage into the back of the car. They were beautiful...almost like someone had plucked them right from her dreams. "Not that I'm having second thoughts just that I'd figure it takes more time to find someone to live in the middle of nowhere."
