thinking about him (the meat cube strategy) (the powerful energy of just saying "yeah for my turn I'm gonna conjure a cube of meat")
51 for as many of ur characters as u want :]
51. what is the most beautiful thing in the world, for them?
oh.......
elodie someone she loves laughing or singing, bird the sight of a thunderstorm over the mountains at night, rowan the night sky with a full moon or her vial glowing brightly with silver light, kara their own hands, cerise the meadow by her home village in spring, sparrow tangerina smiling, liss light filtering through the stained glass window in the cathedral
every SINGLE time we get in a conversation about command + zone of truth or speak with dead + zone of truth and kes and isabella and i are all just :] without even needing to discuss context
liss is fun to play in contrast to my other pbp characters because she just. shows her emotions,
hard pivoting all my characters so they don’t care about their party members,
do the bridge again but this time cerise
:]
21. Your character’s country is at war. They are given the option to sacrifice themself to bring down an important bridge, potentially delaying the attacking army by a week. This will buy time for people to evacuate, but also mean your side is left without a powerful wizard. What do you do?
if faced with the exact same situation sparrow was? she’d run. this would be extremely difficult for me as a PLAYER to do, and comes with the caveat that she’d have to be pretty damn sure she and auberon could get away because if she thought she was just going to die or be captured anyway she’d just as soon do some damage, but like. cerise hasn’t put all the effort she has into Being Alive to just go and DIE. she has a list of people she has a responsibility to and she can protect them so much better if she’s alive to do it. and she also doesn’t have the loyalty to The Kingdom or desire to Win The War that sparrow did. so short answer do everything you can but also know when it’s time to cut your losses and Survive Until Tomorrow
what an honor (liam and i both getting to play two cool characters in this cool campaign) what an injustice (sparrow & sico and cerise & franto would have been such kickass dynamics to explore but nooooo, we had to keep DYING,)
god it’s just. it’s about one last use of your signature spell, it’s about the love, it’s about the sacrifice, it’s about the last words, it’s about regaining one last tiny ounce of control when you thought it had all been stolen, it’s about making the strategic choice over the one your heart is crying for one more time, it’s about hoping she’ll be able to forgive you, it’s about trying to protect the people you love even when you’re a dead man walking, it’s about seeing yourself as a chess piece rather than a person and then hearing “we’ve only lost you,” it’s about the last words ever spoken to you in love being “thank you. we love you. we'll make it worth it. goodbye.”
