i need to spread my propaganda right now . i have been so in love with this fictional relationship i've created between two characters and i have seen NO one else think of this, so if there IS someone out there.. i need to find them..

chato killed his wife and kids on accident. he gave himself up to the police afterwards, and planned to sit quietly in jail for the rest of his life. he vowed to never use his powers again out of fear of hurting another person. he says: "I'm a man, not a weapon." - he didn't understand the power he was cursed to wield at birth and made so many mistakes because of it.. mistakes he Never wanted to make. he cant live with it. then, when he is recruited to the suicide squad he starts seeing them as family. he sacrifices his own life to save them - while using his ability for something Good. to Save lives instead of taking them away
abner was experimented on as a child by his mother, forced to become something he never agreed to be - an interdimensional disease riddled "freak", meant to be a superhero in the eyes of his mother but became nothing of the sort. i imagine he watched his siblings go through what he did too.. that on top of the physical pain and agony from the disease LITERALLY eating him alive (ie; he says if he doesnt expell the polka dots twice every day they will Eat Him Alive). he kills his mother "on accident" which is why he's in prison. he thought she was going to hurt him, he claims, and didn't mean to. he visualizes everyone as his mother, not being able to escape that trauma, and is very apparently suicidal. but he also (unknowingly) sacrifices himself for the suicide squad as well - buying the other members time and taking a good chunk out of starro before being squashed
together; chato learns he can love again, being treated with kindness and affection - and like he's worth more than just his abilities. abner also having a dangerous ability makes him more comfortable with the idea of messing up, because both of them have the chance of doing it. abner, being loved and appreciated for the first time in his life Genuinely by someone just as fucked up as him. they take care of and respect each other deeply. they understand the others pain of accidentally killing family, they understand being used as a weapon against their will, they understand being forced to wield something they don't want.
i also like to think that abner would be SO respectful of grace.. and so patient with chato, because while he doesn't know the first thing about love, he does know what it's like to want someone to just respect you and care for you unconditionally. i think chato would be patient right back, doing everything he can to help abner live with his disease and give him a reason to keep going just as abner's given to him.
ugh . theyre so sweet . do you guys see my vision. you guys like terrificgreen and i think they have really similar energies, can i make this a thing, can i coin it, can i spread my propaganda???? does anyone like suicide squad anymore??? AAA
also i . know . that theyre both dead . in canon . um . but . its okay
