Big Nate Head-canons: Dee Dee Holloway, Chad Applewhite

Dee Dee Holloway

She use to be pretty shy back in lower elementary/primary school, but she later got into musicals and theatres, met like-minded people, and became more unreserved and outwardly expressive.

She's an ENFP and likely an air sign.

Although she isn't the best actress in PS.38, she's the most passionate and zealous about it, making her stand out a lot.

Gossip girl. She lives for drama and drama of all aspects. She enjoys listening and discussing about the lives of other people, especially when something interesting is going on. She doesn't really consider the implications and effects of gossiping in the moment as she gets easily engrossed in it. Only after she said it would she get the clearer picture and would ask for the other person to keep it to themselves (which they would not bc that's how gossiping works lmao).

Not the best with keeping secrets but if it is a really important one that has really serious effects if leaked, she would keep it in mind, but she'll likely let it out on accident. One canon instance was in "Big Nate: Blasts off" when she told Paige(her friend) about Nate's crush on Ruby. Crushes wouldn't be considered a deathly secret really but not something many would want to be widely known, which was what Nate felt.

Takes responsibility for things. Dee Dee can be careless(not as much as Nate) as she tends to act on emotions and feelings, but she would take responsibility for her actions, and sometimes take the blame or take the blame as an accomplice, even if she's innocent, if it was someone she cares about(she cares about a lot of people).

Has a few older cousins who works in the theatre and drama industry, including being actors/actresses, a part of production crew, and being scriptwriters. They are big inspirations for Dee Dee and she would overwhelm them with questions during family gatherings and holidays.

B average student. Best subjects are English and Art.

Apart from the main gang, she has friends and also is close friends with other students in school. She tends to hang out with the other theatre kids and art kids, but she's a social butterfly and practically gets along with most people.

Although bullies such as Randy find her annoyingly dramatic, she's quick witted and most people like her, so she isn't an easy or convenient target.

Chad Applewhite

No one hates this kid. Chad isn't popular but he is well-liked amongst his peers and teachers.

Is an only child with two loving parents.

Many people tend to have a soft spot for him because of his personality and cute appearance. Yes, some teachers and adults are biased towards him.

However, it does get excessive and annoying at times. He does dislike it when people infantalize or underestimate him

His grades are quite mixed, but they aren't anything lower than a C.

His best subject is home economics.

Has a lot of really good home-made goods in his home-bought lunches. His friends and some other kids would ask for a portion and he’d always be happy to share.

Can contend with Nate in terms of humour. He's not class clown material but does have great delivery with his jokes.
