TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES AMAZING ADVENTURES #1-2 AUGUST - SEPTEMBER 2015 BY LANDRY Q. WALKER, CALEB GOELLNER, CHAD THOMAS, NOAH VAN SCIVER, HETHER BRECKEL, SHAWN LEE AND GILBERTO LAZCANO
The Turtles investigate a mystery involving several of their mutant allies and foes, being controlled by an external force... Zoo-diac!
SCORE: 9
At least I assume his name will be zoodiac, since Mikey named him, let me do a quick check...
No one seems to care much... his official name is Zodiac... but since Mikey usually baptizes these characters, I am going with Zoodiac.
What can I say? This was an interesting read. I grew up reading TMNT adventures, and this seems to try to go for the same thing... (at least the first two issues). It tries to work with the show continuity, but incorporates new elements that they can control better.
Zoodiac in particular is a character that would have worked will in TMNT adventures.
It also adds a long lost almost brother for Yoshi and Saki, with flashbacks included (in the same style as the show, in sepia).
This story hints that the Kraang was present in Japan in the past. Just like in IDW continuity... what was the Kraang doing? and how old was the Kraang anyway? I would guess that it is utrom technology, more than Kraang technology... that would have been more accurate.
There is also a little back-up story in issue #2 that while it looks a little odd for this book, it is full of feelings.
The art is meant to mimic Michelangelo’s art, as this is a comic-book made by him. It has a very touching ending.
The ALA’s awesome new READ posters!
IDW COMICS SEPTEMBER 2019 SOLICITATIONS TMNT: Rise of the TMNT: Sound Off! #3
Now that the most hectic part of the holidays are over with, suppose I need to catch up on tumblr, since I haven’t really posted or reblogged much of anything in about 4 days. Even if tumblr feels like more of a ghost town than ever now. XD
Here are two new Archie inked pages that showed up on Christmas Eve, an early gift to myself. One from Issue 5, the first issue with Agent Stern, letting Light know he’s keeping an eye on the doc. And one page from Issue 10, as Rock runs through Heat Man’s lava pits, tiny platform pillars, and infinite Telly assist code cheat.

Oh boy...these guys certainly had to wait a while to be main characters in the comic, some never getting the chance to. :')
