I have a very special #CovidChronicles #CoffeeChat posted up on YouTube today: Tameka L. Coleman and I (yup, you read that correctly!) have been watching each others work for a while now on #socialmedia. Much to our surprise and delight, we don't only share the bulk of our name, we share similar mindsets, and also live some sort of parallel life. I reached out to talk with Tameka about #activism, mourning #ChadwickBozeman, being mixed-race and gaining perspective on when we, as mixed-raced #Black people become #allies and #accomplices, and also understanding and being #mixedrace in various, often confusing, circumstances. We talk about learning what our #civilduties might be in multiple contexts, and how we have learned to navigate #racism from where we are. We talk about our respective #superpowers, the way we work in #community, #queerness and the weirdness of #gender. We talk about the hidden skills that '80s latchkey kids have (we are prepared for these strange limbo times!), the difference between #capitalism and a #community that "sets the leg," and so much more! heh. Life is weird, and also awesome (!). #CovidTaughtMe Link to series in bio! https://www.instagram.com/p/CEhkOh2lzcQ/?igshid=c5bp00c5yhzd
