Twilight vs Warriors!!

This got buried and I had to think about it for a while then forgot about it again ack sorry for not answering sooner

Anyways, Twilight vs Warriors.

Hm. Both formidable foes, extremely skilled swordsmen, with diverse items and skill sets. (Though you could say that about any of the links honestly).

Swords only, I think Twilight might be able to eke out a win but only because of the secret skills he learned from the Hero’s Shade. Otherwise, it’s been established in lu canon that Warriors is an amazing swordfighter, able to fight both hordes and singular foes alike with ease, and I think he’d have the upper hand against Twilight. (Just look at whenever he fights the lizard!)

But there’s also the strength aspect, as Twilight is definitely the strongest Link, but Warriors is no slacker. And the difference in fighting styles and even their differences in willingness to play dirty... it would be very close. Veeeery close.

Now if we count items as well... I’m really not sure. Twilight and Warriors have very similar items in their respective games, and while Warriors has his crazy focus spirit and other magic items, Twilight has the shadow crystal. It would, once again, be a close fight. Warriors might win this round though, due to how he’s actually willing to use more magical items.

(As a side note... it would be really cool to see these two go toe to toe in a horseback battle as they’re both crazy experienced in battles on horses. There’s a list somewhere on the lu blog where best horsemen were listed and Warriors was above both Time and Wild!)

If those two ever fought then the world would explode from the sheer epicness of the fight...

Legend and Time are close to equal in terms of sword ability I’d say. Time wins out by just a tad due to the fact we know he literally develops sword techniques capable of killing most enemies with one stroke (mortal draw). Time has experience that Legend doesn’t by merit of being older, but Legend has techniques he’s learned from traveling all over the place, so his style is likely more exotic and difficult to deal with. So they’re pretty evenly matched there.

As for items, that’s where Legend’s strength lies. But Time is no push-over in that sense either. Legend could Bombos him all he’d want, but Nayru’s love would likely hold up to it, and if Time used Din’s fire, Legend might be able to use his ice rod to counter, or possibly the good ol’ cane of Byrna. (Or various fire-proof items/rings)

Most of their items would defend against each other, they’re both crazy experienced, and I think even if Time used the fierce deity mask Legend would be able to counter it with all his stuff, though it’d be one difficult fight.

I’m going to level with you here anon; I honestly don’t know who would win.

We’re talking about pitting the two most powerful links in the franchise against each other, and unless we ever see them fight in canon (lu or otherwise) I just don’t know. (Jojo got asked this question at some point I think, her answer is similar to mine)

Time would maybe win with just swords, and Legend would maybe win with just items, but I honestly think it would come down to “who makes the first mistake”, and I really don’t know who it would be.

Oh, what about Legend Vs Wild with their full arsenal?

That would be really cool

Honestly if Legend ever gets out his full arsenal it must be a pretty dire situation. (If he ever does in lu then things must be going very badly)

Pretty sure Legend would beat Wild. (This one is pretty long, putting it under a cut)

So Wild is very aware of Legend’s vast arsenal, and I think he’d go into the fight knowing he’s going to have to be quick and decisive. He’d probably try to take Legend off-guard, go for one of his elemental weapons like a flame spear or ice sword, maybe a windcleaver, and try to overwhelm him by quickly switching tactics. But Legend would counter fairly easily.

Flames or ice? Well he’s got a mirror shield. Electricity? Cane of Somaria to block it, or not even bother because of the green holy ring. Wild falls back and goes for a higher position in order to shoot arrows at him? Well Legend either dodges with the Pegasus boots or seeds, or uses the cane again, maybe the cane of Byrna this time to deflect. Heck or he could just go invisible with the magic cape, the possibilities are nearly endless. Bomb arrows? Bombproof ring. Ancient arrows? (Not that he’d really use them) cane of Somaria again.

Even if Wild still had his champion abilities... Legend would still come out on top. Daruk’s protection? Well, Legend has titan mitts and several hammers, that thing is done for. Green holy ring again for Urbosa’s fury, and Revali’s gale would only really give Wild some extra height, and there’d be the same problem with arrows. Mipha’s grace heals, but that would really only buy him some extra time.

I think the only way Wild would have a chance against Legend’s items would be either to slow down time with a flurry rush or with stasis and hit him while he’s switching something out, or somehow separate him from his stuff. (rather unlikely, especially since he’d have to take off all his rings!)

It might take Legend a while to beat Wild (because the champion really is fast and good at dodging, plus all of his crazy outfits and the boosts that come with them would be difficult to overcome, even with stuff like Legend’s medallions) but I think his arsenal would wear Wild down in the end.

IMO he’s gonna take the L for sword fights

But he could always play dirty and whip out the wind waker and command melody their asses

See now, Wind may be small and less experienced then some, but he’s actually got really good sword technique. Not to the level of Sky or Time, but he’s got the spin attack, the roll-back slice, and the hurricane spin for goodness’ sake.

Up against the other heroes he probably doesn’t stand much of a chance. But he would give them a big run for their money, and in a swords-only duel he might manage to get the upper hand on a few of the less-trained bunch.

Magic and items though?

You’re correct about the command melody; the wind waker is crazy powerful, right up there with Time’s ocarina in abilities and as long as it was one-on-one, the command melody would work excellently. Plus he’s got the deku leaf, skull hammer, grandma’s soup... not to mention his size. He’s smaller then a lot of the heroes, and he could definitely use that to his advantage.

I don’t know who out of the chain he’d manage to beat, but I could see him squeaking out ahead of at least a few of them.

I dont know whether you are still doing this but How about Time vs. Twilight?

Gonna go with Time again on this one. (But once again, only barely)

Practically everything Twilight knows was taught to him by Time (in the future for him, but you get the point) or by Rusl, who while is a pretty good swordsman is not to the skill of a Hero. Time would probably be caught off-guard by how many of his techniques Twilight knows, but since Time was the one who invented them, I think he knows how to counter them effectively.

Twilight has a lot of power behind him, but Time does as well, and I think that in the end (despite Twilight’s vaguely feral fighting style) Time would be the victor.

(Also if we’re talkin not just swords but items as well, then it would be even more of a fight for the ages 👀 Can you imagine Fierce Deity (not that he’d use it against any of the heroes, but this is hypothetical) along with all of the rest of Time’s masks and items vs Wolf Link/Twilight’s technique?? I wouldn’t want to miss it.)

Wild vs sky? I know u already did one w wars but wild's fighting style just seems so incredibly hard to deal with lol, I want to throw him at people like a sticky hand

Sticky hand... hehe... botw2 Wild but his sheikah hand is a sticky hand... getting stuck on literally everything...

*ahem* Right, anyways. Sky vs Wild. That’s really hard to say, I think they would be very evenly matched as long as they didn’t just use swords. (Sky would beat him in a swords-only spar hands down) Think I’m going to say Wild this time, but only as long as they weren’t just sticking to swords.

Sky and Wild are both very quick fighters, and are pretty creative as well, but Sky seems to stick with his sword above all else, while Wild uses everything under the sun to fight.

In order for Sky to win he’d have to mount a pretty quick offensive before Wild got a chance to do much; he’d need to strike quickly and with all the power he’s got before he tires out, and press his advantage with the blade. But If Wild managed to outlast Sky’s not-great stamina, then he’d be able to use his other abilities/items to get the upper hand and overwhelm him. It would be tricky, but I think Wild would manage somehow. He’s good at adapting.

Hyrule vs Wild? The two most adapted to living in the wild?

Hmmmm that’s another hard one to say. I honestly think Hyrule might manage to eke out a win, though as with all of them, it’d be very close.

These two’s fighting styles are pretty similar, but they’ve got two key differences. Wild doesn’t just have skills born of necessity, he also has muscle memory/half-remembered knight training to guide him, while Hyrule (as far as we know) has zero formal training. Our traveler hero probably has a much more scruffy style of fighting than Wild, even though his style is hardly polished.

But Hyrule is more then just a sword; he’s got magic. Magic that is crazy powerful and that Wild most certainly does not have. So I think even with all of Wild’s abilities, Hyrule’s magic would be a lot for him, possibly enough to beat him in the end.

For the ask game: Legend vs Hyrule?

A Downfall Duo Duel eh? sorry

I think it would depend on what kind of fight it was. If it was swords only, no items no magic, then I think Legend would win. He has lots of skills he’s picked up, great spin and all that jazz, and while Hyrule is a great sword fighter who is spades better then most regular folk, let’s face it: his moves mostly consist of jab jab downward thrust sword beam.

So swords only, Legend wins.

Now if we have a fight going between them where they’re allowed to use items and magic... that’s a whole ‘nother ballpark!

Legend has his crazy aresenal of items, staffs and rods and medallions which would certainly give Hyrule a run for his rupees, and compared to our veteran his items are a bit sad in comparison.

But Roolie’s got magic. Which Legend has as well, but he only uses it by channeling it through items. It’s not nearly the same as all the spells Hyrule’s got, and if you look at how he fights? He uses magic left and right, it’s built directly into his style.

So swords only, Legend would win, but if we’re talkin’ magic? Hyrule’s got it in the bag.
