Three years ago on a windy March night, I set out to see a show called Nerd Night Out I didn't know what it was or who was involved, but it had @kellysued there and it had a bar, so I figured there were worse ways to spend a Monday night. The headliners were a Portland - based indy nerd folk duo called The Doubleclicks whom I knew nothing about. They sang songs about velociraptors and the Mars rover and burritos and after the show I bought all their albums. The Webber sisters have been in rotation on my ipod ever since. I have a great deal of gratitude for them not just for their music, but for introducing me to other bands and artists I've grown to love, for writing songs that can make me laugh and cry in equal measure, and for standing for what they believe every step of the way. So thank you DC's, and I'll see you next time you come to town. #TheDoubleclicks #ChainmailAndCello #LasersAndFeelings #Diemetrodon #PresidentSnakes #LoveProblems (at The Siren Theater)
