H-Huh??” Gaze slowly dragged up once she heard the footsteps, her vision blurry enough to not immediately recognize Denji but after a few blinks, she slowly became aware of the ice pack being offered to her. Hesitating a moment, Kobeni accepted it with a tight, wavering smile before pressing it against her reddened cheek.
It didn’t really... hurt that much but Denji’s sudden concern had her tearing up faster than she could stop and it wasn’t long before tears were dribbling down her face and she hiccupped her next words out. “I-I’m sorry, I...You didn’t need to see.....” Rubbing at her eyes with her sleeve, she was quick to hoist herself back onto her feet, shaky knees threatening to drop her back down.
