Chal realized she was trans a few weeks ago and in her coming out post there was a curious little pic of her w Maci and Tory whereupon i had mentioned that whaoaOAO they’re working on aDOPTING HER??? considering Maci and Chal’s absolutely abysmal history and also how far Chal has come ;-; i realy thot the only appropriate way to introduce this actually happening was via CANON CONVO COMICS so here is the first “part” which i’ve been calling Beforehand

ever since the stint spent as babies with Libby, Chal’s relationship with Tory and Maci has been..... weird and soft?? eventually Tory did decide officially that he wanted to adopt Chal and Maci was... begrudgingly neutrally onboard (that in and of itself a hUGE STEP, considering.... CONSIDERING). so what changed????? tbh Chal’s gender crisis event was a bit of a crisis in part due to the looming embedded trauma knowledge of Thanatos, known horrible deity and raging misogynist Thanatos, having raised Chal and aka thus done his absolute best to totally traumatize and fuck her up mentally in every possible way just for her to discover way later that she’s actually a girl ssoooo :y real bad mental moment!
anyway, Maci unfortunately knows Thanatos better than anyone else - and Chal’s ultra specific Thanatos-related conundrum hit close to home.... really really close to home
and thus,

anyway so at long last Maci has graduated from 1) hating Chal’s guts 2) openly and loudly battling with her at every turn 3) inadvertently saving Chal from Ker and allowing her to live in the palace while far away from each other 4) reluctantly allowing Chal to exist 5) reluctantly allowing Chal to exist as Tory’s future adopted kid, And Also Maci’s There Too I Guess, to 6) WAIT HOLY SHIT SHE GETS IT, NOW WE ARE VERY ENTHUSIASTICALLY DEMANDING THAT SHE AND TORY ADOPT CHAL NOW LIKE RIGHT THE FUCK NOW WHETHER CHAL LIKES IT OR NOT---
