A shrill call accompanied the third insistent knock. “Housekeeping!?”
“Go away,” Derek demanded, sleep-rough growl drowned by an over-starched pillowcase. His hand fumbled onto the nightstand, groping the first thing his fingers touched—a Gideon Bible, brown leather worn smooth under his palm. He blindly flung it at the door with pinpoint accuracy.
“You should let her in,” a soft voice to his right admonished. “I have hunger.”
Happy birthday!! 🥳😎🤩✨🌟🥂🍾🎂
Thank you darling 🥰 feeling the love!
How many language do you know?
Oh! English, obviously.I can survive in Japanese, but not for anything technical. I make grammatical mistakes and have strange word choice, but I can make myself understood for everyday-life stuff.I’ve taken basic courses (one semester, first-year university) in Mandarin, German, and Latin:*I sucked at speaking/listening in Mandarin (the tones) but found the writing simple (’cause of the similarity to Japanese). *I did okay with German, but other than using it for credit, I wasn’t really doing it for a reason, so... If I’m not really into it, I don’t study =P*I adored Latin, and would have loved to continue, but life and a death in the family kinda got in the way.I’ve taken absurdly/laughably basic courses in both Spanish and French, but didn’t really get much out of them because I found them too basic and it kind of annoyed me? The level/amount of work/learning expected was so much less than university -- despite being almost the same amount of time as one semester -- that I just just didn’t get into them. I’d really like to do more Latin, and love the idea of Korean, but mostly because of the writing system (and the fact that it’s reportedly grammatically similar to Japanese and that would make it a bit easier to start with). I wish my Japanese wasn’t disappearing out of my brain. I’d kinda like to learn Irish because of my family background. Also, for the record: I might “collect” languages (and forget them soon after exams!), but I’d never, ever think of writing something more than a text in anything other than English: it’s reallyreallyreally fucking cool when people write fic (and other stuff of course) in something other than their first/predominant language!

je croise les doigts
merci, mais ca ne fait rien. J'ai un travail at least. Also I had to think about what this meant super hard.
Hi! What about smile for the wip guessing game?
“Derek opened his mouth to retort, but then remembered that he’d said he’d had his final word on the matter, and hated and loved his sister equally in that moment for trapping him with his own words. She smiled at him, the soft smile she saved for family and her mate, and then suddenly kissed him on the check and bid him, and their papa, goodbye.“This is from a piece of A/B/O Bubblegum that I’ve stalled on. It’s based on a phrase from me mishearing a lyric in this song:
A7, B7 and D7?
A7. Why did you leave your first comment? Do you remember what it was?I have absolutely no idea! I’m going to go with, “To support a friend’s work.”B7. Which character is your favourite to read about? Why?
Inside of my current main fandom, outside of my OTP/Sterek, I’m going to say anyone that canon killed off. I have a huge soft-spot for Erica and Boyd, and I’m quite fond of the strong versions of Talia and Laura we often get in alternate-timelines and alternate-universes. Also, in alternate-timelines especially, I love it when I come across a “good” Peter.
D7. Why did you leave your most recent comment? Will you share it with us?
I am the world’s worst comment-leaver and/or responder. I have major issues, IRL and online, surrounding praise.I always leave kudos, and I leave non-loggged-in-kudos if I’m re-reading.However, I’m making an effort recently to try to comment. Recently I’ve started leaving comments to tell the writer that I liked something so much I downloaded it.
