Just like the chalkboard printable I made says, we go together like salt and pepper. And because of this, we wanted our loved ones to enjoy Culinary Wedding Favors, a pinch of love from the kitchen that makes our love taste better. We knew they would be surprised at this small gift made with our hands.
Everything in Tuscany is about coffee, food and wine. To reflect their love of food and cooking, as well as ours, Culinary Wedding Favors were the way to go.
Putting It All Together
We bought all of the ingredients to make our Culinary Wedding Favors fresh from Trader Joe’s. All the glass vials with cork tops were purchased from eBay in advance and the clear boxes on Amazon.

Working as a team, my wife and I were able to put these all together infused with love, something you can’t always buy at a store. It took some time in order to complete the whole project but the end result was spectacular. Impeccable, tiny glass vials full of culinary wonder and custom labeled with chalkboard.

4 sets (20) glass vials with cork tops*
¼ cup black peppercorns
14 oz olive oil
14 oz balsamic vinegar, of choice
7 oz dried garlic chunks
7 oz course Himalayan sea salt
3 oz dried basil
3 oz dried rosemary
3 oz dried oregano
3 oz dried onion chunks
40 (4 oz) clear boxes
Moss
Labels
Thyme Honey Balsamic
Peppercorn Olive Oil
Himalayan Garlic Sea Salt
Tuscan Love Seasoning
Instructions
Download the free printable I’ve provided.
Print out the chalkboard instructions. Allow to dry. Insert into photo frame.
You’ll need four glass vials per guest.
For the Thyme Honey Balsamic, carefully pour balsamic vinegar into 20 glass vials. Push cork top in tightly. Add chalkboard label to the front.
For the Peppercorn Olive Oil, add a few peppercorns into each vial. Top with olive oil. Push cork top in tightly. Add chalkboard label to the front.
For the Himalayan Garlic Sea Salt, mix garlic and salt in a bowl. Pour a few tsp of mixture into each vial. Push cork top in tightly. Add chalkboard label to the front.
For the Tuscan Love Seasoning, mix dried seasonings in a bowl. Pour a few tsp of mixture into each vial. Push cork top in tightly. Add chalkboard label to the front.
Build clear boxes. Lightly fill each with moss. Place one of each vial into the clear boxes. Seal the boxes.
Stack the boxes on a table with instructional printable in photo frame within sight.

We’ve always loved succulents. But it wasn’t until our incredible trip to Tuscany, last year in January, that we absolutely know we needed to incorporate them into our wedding. Our Tuscan Winter Wedding, that is.
Our December 9th wedding could not have been more elegant. From the grove gardens to the Italian winery, Succulent Wedding Favors were sure to be one of the best take-home memories.
These were so easy to make, despite looking quite difficult. We found an inexpensive succulent farm through Etsy and ordered a variety pack ahead of time. We told the farmers when we needed them by and they made sure they would ship a week earlier in order to prepare the DIY. That was it! Set it and forget it style, you know we love that. When they finally arrived, the wedding favor DIY began! We re-potted them into our Dollar Tree tin pails that are conveniently an ivory color, applied the chalkboard printable label and voila!
In order for our friends and family to know where they were seated, they found their name at the Succulent Wedding Favors table. Each succulent had their name on a chalkboard label I custom designed making it easy to find which one was which. Dreamy, dessert, lush Succulent Wedding Favors were perfect for those traveling near or far for our wedding. A memory they can cherish forever with minimal maintenance, just light watering from time to time.
We grouped all the Succulent Wedding Favors by table. Then, we labelled them with our beautiful Tuscany Wedding Table Number Maps made up of the map of each city we fell in love with while we roadtripped through the Tuscan region or Italy in the winter. These maps were held up by wine corks we’ve collected through travels across the globe. Based on the map provided, you find your table in the “Tuscan city” you’ve been seated in. From Firenze (Florence) to Parma, it tied together beautifully and nobody was confused.

Instructions
Pre-order succulents from local farm or garden center.
Buy tin pails at Dollar Tree.
Transfer each succulent to their new home. Set out in the sun.
Print your custom chalkboard labels with the name of each guest or family that will be taking home a succulent wedding favor.
If you are using a special seating arrangement, you can request custom labels and follow our Tuscany Wedding Table Numbers project in order for guests to find their table. In order to find their table, group the succulents for the guests of each table with the Tuscan city maps standing behind each group.

Chalkboard Labels with 2 Markers
Good, but maybe not for refrigerated goods. Four stars.
I bought these to use with the half-gallon Ball jars I use for my cold-brew coffee and iced tea, so my husband knows what he's pulling out of the fridge.
Pros: --The labels themselves are large, with plenty of room to write on --They're a thick vinyl rather than paper, so fridge condensation won't destroy the label --The white and the orange stand out well against the black vinyl --The labels clean up with a little water --After a few uses, the markers produce smooth, neat letters --The labels have nice, clean edges on the shapes
The flaws I've encountered with this product are: --The labels are a little too big, because all four sides of the jar have raised embellishments, and it's tricky finding a large-enough smooth spot on the jar to fit the labels. --If your labeled container is something refrigerated, and you take it out of the refrigerator, the condensation on the outside of the container may wash off the marker. I haven't tried the labels with actual stick chalk to see if that's still a problem. --The chalk markers can be goopy when they're first started --Marker does not wipe off neatly with the dry cloth provided
Overall, I like the labels and markers, and may change my usage from the jars to non-refrigerated containers.
