I hope everyone is well! I am posting late, but want to give updates! ✨
I am doing a covid test tomorrow because I’ll be going to Dijon this weekend! My classes move back to hybrid (online and in-person format) after spring break, so I need to take advantage of my online class format while I can!
Also, tomorrow I will be hosting an event with QISA on redefining “woman” and how to be an ally to trans* people to commemorate International Women’s Day! ✨ I can’t wait! (Please check out the link if you are interested, anyone is welcome - I also designed the entire QISA website, so it’s worth a peak!)
and to continue on with the zoomster studyblr challenge...
Day 2- If you’ve chosen a major, why did you decide on it? If you’re in any other grade , what field/major interests you the most?
I actually started undergrad as a linguistics major, thinking I would love to study languages, learn languages, and maybe move into cryptography. Finally though, I fell in love with cultural anthropology after my first semester (and getting a beautiful 100% on my first anthropology paper).
I knew I wanted to change my major, but I waited until my junior year to finally change it (and kept a minor in linguistics!).
Then, when applying to grad school, I was torn between pursuing an MA/MFA in contemporary art or curatorial studies, or sticking with anthropology. I settled on getting my MA in anthropology & sociology, knowing that full-well I will be able to incorporate and utilize all of my interests (even my interests in art and photography) in this field.
