It's such a bummer the order Choristodera (including the genus champosaurus), despite surviving the Chicxulub asteroid event, managed to go extinct before any humans got to see them. They're such interesting and obscure diapsids.

Now we get the 'champ' himself lol! The Champosaurus was pretty much an earlier crocodile. They were closely related to gharials (still livin today yo) and had jaws meant to catch fish ova other prey. These scamps never got too big (1.5 m or 5 feet) and lived from the late Cretaceous to the Eocene which was a pretty long time. 

I gotta say tho, I dont approve of the fact that this champosaurus is goin after a turtle. I had a soft shelled turtle once an his name was Softy. Not cool Champosaurus.
