What happens if a pokemon is corrupted by a witch? Is that something that can happen? Also where do witches get their powers from?
Voren: There are four main types of corruption;
Becoming a lesser Witch, becoming a Vampire, becoming a Dragon, and becoming a Risen.
Origin Witches get their power from the Origin Giratina, The Gilded Sovereign. They are the most powerful, because they chose to become Witches of their own free will, and they made a contract directly with The Gilded Sovereign. They are directly beneath the source of power in their little pyramid.
A Witch can create another Witch, but the created one will not be as powerful as the original. A powerful Witch can also create an Alpha Vampire, who will become the leader of a coven of Vampires. Any Witch is able to form a contract and turn someone into a Dragon, and any Witch is able to find a dead body and turn it into a Risen.
Then, there are curses… Someone of a pure enough heart can resist becoming a monster, but they aren’t invulnerable. The Witch can lock their hearts up and cause great suffering… Their personality seems to flip, someone who was sweet and docile becomes abusive and abrasive, those who were cheery become depressed and full of despair… They also become violent at times, but with a combination of Aromatherapy and other techniques, we can lift most curses.
After some research, I’ve discovered that many other regions refer to this phenomenon as Shadow Pokemon, but… More research must be done. It hurts knowing that there are other regions suffering with this problem, but I’m sure I can come up with something to help.
