Lovin' these new blush sticks from Chanel - just released for the summer Les Beiges 2017 collection, they're a perfect edition to Chanel's new cushion foundation! These are very similar colours to two of the blush sticks released in the 2015 Les Beige collection, but these can be used sheer. It's quite clever, as these don't apply that sheer at first, but once you blend them down you are left with a slight coloured tint, light sheen & trail of glitter. It's hard to see, but I blended out some of each blush, on the far left-hand side of each photo. I wanted to show just how much it can be blended down. (They showed up slightly more in person.) Though they're a bit pricey (price at the bottom) it's a good investments, as they're multi-use products. You can create different effects - such as the natural glow & sparkle effect, describe above, or a more traditional blush look, which shows up more of the colour . It's up to you how much you blend them down & they can be layered! In the photos, I layered each of the wide, non-blended swatches at the top of each swatch. Plus, you don't have to limit these to just your cheeks. Try using them as you would highlighters & apply them anywhere you want a sparkly glow! Just make sure to blend them down so you don't get an orange nose! 😸 At first, these left a horrible, gritty feeling, but, after using them a couple times this feeling seems to have vanished 100%. I don't know if it was just an odd top layer, but I've got no problem with them now! All these have been featured on my page already & are all grey pieces in their own rights! So, if you could only use one piece from the collection, what would it be & why? Mine would definitely be the cushion foundation because it is one of the best I've ever used! It smells beautiful, looks amazing & feels incredibly soft on the skin. That's all before the results it gives! You would expect such a little product to give such strong results! It evens the complexion, dampens imperfections, gives a healthy, natural, glow & lasts all day! What's more, you don't need loads to achieve these results, but can layer it on the more problem areas - such as an oily t-zone. Although it gives it healthy glow, it calms down any shine, which is a tough thing to do! For me, anything that makes me look healthy is a miracle worker. Whilst I don't look like I have a chronic illness, my complexion doesn't look healthy - most people think eating disorder or drugs! They are partially right, but these aren't the problems themselves, they're just side-effects from the fibromyalgia & endometriosis. This is why beauty & fashion help me cope with my chronic illnesses because when you find good products like this, not only can they help distract from the horrible problems chronic illness brings, but they can help give you more confidence, whilst making you feel more normal by doing things such as mimicking a healthy complexion!
