(short scenario + Headcanons)
An attack here. A defensive move there. You're completely worn out. Your wings are barely moving anymore. All you want now is to get back to the Monastery. Kai quickly moves to your side to avoid an attack that was directed at you. "Do you need a break? Go sit down over there I'll take care of the rest" he proposed with a wink. You shake your head as rejection of his suggestion. As a trained ninja, you can't leave everything to him. After all, you're not weak, just drained.
Several hits later, it was finally over. You sat on the ground, your legs barely able to support your body, flying was impossible too. Kai immediately extends his hand to help you up "Come take my hand. I'll support you, yea?" Of course you accept it and he pulls you up to wrap one arm around your waist so you can lean against him. Kai kisses your temple and pulls you closer to his body. "You did great today. Not as good as me but you tried" a little joke delivered with a broad smile to cheer you up while waiting for the vehicle that Pixal is providing.
Once you arrive, he carries you bridal style, carefully protecting your wings, and lays you on your bed. Kai disappears to get you a snack and a drink, then he prepares the bathwater so you can fully relax.

Headcanons:
• On the way back to the monastery, he would offer to carry you when no vehicles are available. Even if you can still fly or walk.
• If you have any visible injuries, he would treat you. If there are serious problems, he'll take you to the hospital. No arguing.
• If you're simply exhausted, he'll prepare a warm bath for you to relax your muscles.
• He has definitely already learned to take care of your wings too.
• He would suggest watching a movie or (barely) going through meditation with you if it helps.
• Seeing you like this hurts him deeply. He promises himself that next time you won't leave a fight like that. Not because he doesn't trust your strength. But because he can't bear to see you wounded.
• Kai would gently massage your back, and afterwards he would cuddle with you in bed.
• If something else is bothering you, he's happy to listen. Kai isn't exactly the best with words, but he'll try.
