I love May December so muchh, and even tho he was only in like 3 scenes CMS was so good as georgie!!!

It's so interesting how each character has a different way of manipulation too- Elizabeth with her truth omission, Gracie with her truth rewritting, Georgie with his rumours. In a way, Joe is the only truthful one because he's still innocent and full of childlike naivety, but even then, his truth is heavily clouded by Gracie's

I love the metaphor with Joe raising the monarch butterflies, it's much like his children, taking care of them and getting to see them be free and fly away like he never could. The parallel of the glass window and the graduation gates.. oughh save him from that skeleton (highkey paraphrased from my letterboxd)

Back to Georgie, he's definitely a character that's still in his cocoon, not a caterpillar but unable to grow up and grow out of it and be free because of how his childhood went. Something about how cocoons squirm reminds me a lot of his personality as well😭✋ And how Cory designed his tattoos and curated the songs he sings in that bar <33

Side note I've been trying to practice my graphic design more lately, erm idk how i feel about this one its giving 2018 instagram edits (i love 2018 instagram edits), it might be the monarch thats giving millenial core
