Half A Cup: Post-Event
Three weeks off. Mandatory. Three weeks off, just because everyone had somehow reverted back to normal just after he’d had his run in with a delusional Kara and everyone in the hospital had seen the mess his face and nose had been left in. There was no way he could heal this mess without drawing attention to himself now, especially since humans were particularly out for blood now against those responsible for doing this and so, he was forced to take the time off work to ‘get better’.
He’d done as instructed, gone home but it didn’t take long for him to grow restless knowing that the walls would be his confinement for the next three weeks. Which explained why he’d leashed Jas up and walked to his favourite coffee shop in town in the hopes that perhaps a decent drink would lift his spirits. Thankfully some fates were smiling today and although it was practically empty the doors were open.
Keeping Jas on a short leash at his side he stepped up to the counter to order and then collect his drink when he heard the bell above the door jingle, alerting him to the presence of another he silently hoped wouldn’t recognise him. Someone who wouldn’t feel the need to remark on the patchwork of deep violet and blue bruises across his eye and nose. Picking up the coffee and bracing himself he turned making a move to head for the door to take up his favourite spot outside in the sunshine.
