The ruckus Liliana had caused didn’t go unnoticed; and while some people had some understanding looks on their faces and even looked ready to help, there was an old man that seemed hellbent on making people’s days harder to get by. So, when he began shouting at Liliana, Lara didn’t hesitate and walked over, standing between the other waitress and the man. “She didn’t do it on purpose. People make mistakes, back the hell off.” And without a second glace at the man, Lara turned to the other girl and tried to make her gaze meet hers. “Hey, it’s fine.”

Liliana kept her head down as the man yelled at her, trying to clear up what she could. Her hands shook slightly as she picked up the tray and she let Lara confront the man for her too scared of what would happen if she tried to stand up for herself. She looked at Lara, “I’m sorry, I got distracted. I’ll take it out of my pay,” she said quietly.

He’d been stuck on the night shift the evening previous, and he was near reaching twenty three hours without any sleep. Though that was a fault of his own rather than his work schedules. The diner provided him with a pit stop before getting to errands he needed to do before tonight’s next night shift, too. Coffee cup in hand, eyes heavy, he just about registers what happens until what ever she was holding, falls onto him. A grumble follows from thin lips, he understands that he should be nice. He after all, cannot control his own tremors when he’s having an off day, yet here he is, annoyance bubbling at the surface. “Pancakes. On the house. Then I might move past the fact that you just ruined my best jeans.”

Liliana kept her face down as she knelt to pick up the plates and cup she had dropped, she’d have to come back with a mop to clean it all up properly, “I’m sorry,” she said again quietly, standing up. She wasn’t sure if she could give out free pancakes but she supposed it could just be taken out of her pay, “Sure, I’ll get you a stack of pancakes. Sorry about your jeans.”

Brennan had been on his way out of the diner after picking up a quick lunch–he didn’t allow himself an extensive lunch break and by his standards he was already late getting back to the shop–when the waitress dropped her tray and sent everything on it clattering to the floor, searing hot coffee sinking into his shoes. “Jesus f–” He winced a bit at the burning sensation currently eating away at his flesh, though regardless of that he found himself taking a knee to help her out. “Rough day?” He asked, trying his best to crack a smile.

Liliana knelt down and started putting the cup and plates onto the tray and looked over at him with a small, slightly forced smile onto her face. “Yeah, you could say that,” she said quietly, pushing some hair out of her face, “I’m sorry about your shoes, I should have been paying more attention.”

Adam had been enjoying his coffee and muffin, couldn’t they just keep it quiet for ten minutes? It wasn’t the first time he had heard that word being thrown around - freaks - but it was the first since Gian had tried blackmailing him to get information out of him. Since he had threatened to turn him into Vinceret. Turning in his seat, Adam zeroed in on the culprits…but what could he do? The place would have CCTV and then he’d be in even more trouble!?

Being sideways in his chair Adam didn’t see the waitress until something cold was running down his left shoulder. He gasped loudly, tensing bodily as the cold rivers just ran down and down and down.

Liliana stood in shock for a moment as she looked down at the mess she made, luckily nothing had broken but there were hot chips and a splattered burger on the ground along with some drink, though the most of the drink ended up down a customers back. She grimaced and looked over at him, “Oh my god, I’m so sorry!” she exclaimed, “I wasn’t paying attention and I... Sorry. Is there anything I can do?”

Liliana liked working at the diner, it was good money and the work was easy enough, most of the customers were nice and she could deal with the bad ones most of the time. She was having an off day though, she hadn’t slept more than an hour that night, and had been shaken since she heard about the attacks in New York. Her mind was elsewhere but she’d managed to do her work. Then she heard someone talking about it, talking about freaks, and she tripped over spilling drinks and food from her tray all over the floor and customers. “Oh shit, sorry I-I tripped it was an accident, I’m sorry,” she stammered as she stood and tried to clear what she could.

“ are you FOR REAL? ” she questioned the man ordering. “ i said we’ve ran out of that. what do you think, i’ll wave my wand around, say the magic words and have what you want? ” sending a rhetorical question toward his way. kelsey wasn’t sure what exactly had pushed her into such a mood today, perhaps all the things she had been hearing about or just people not understanding that they won’t always have what they order. “you don’t have the right to talk to me like that!” the older man raised his voice, but only received an eyeroll from the blonde. “ i told you POLITELY once that we don’t have it and you went off on me. what? just because i’m a barista means i have to let you treat me like i’m LESS? you’re keeping a line and i’m sure you’re not the only one who has to go somewhere. next person, please! ” she called out, putting on her usual fake smile at the new customer

Liliana watched as the man sulked off, unable to stop the small smile on her face, “What an asshole,” she murmured as she stepped up to the counter, “Whoever said the customer is always right obviously never had to deal with an actual customer,” she said with a laugh. She looked up at the menu for a moment, “Could I please have a large coffee, white with two sugars,” she smiled.

Bunch of flyers in hand, they’d wandered around town once already to no avail. “You seen a cat around here?” They gesture thirty five centimeters with their hands, “about yay big? Looks like it has one vampire fang sticking out?”

Liliana took a flyer and looked at it for a moment, “I’m sorry I haven’t seen a cat like this one, if I do I’ll let you know though,” she said with a small smile, “When was the last time you saw him, ir her?”

⊰ ♔ ·˚ ——— from where she sits stiffly at the table of the cafe, elizabeth almost resembles a statue. her thoughts are elsewhere, on the ATTACKS. fear clutches her heart each time she hears about an attack, it seems more and more surreal. with a shiver, the redhead pulls her shawl a little more tightly around herself as the brisk wind picked up once more, a dainty, pale hand reaching slowly for the handle of the tea cup in front of her. since discovering her abilities, eliza had been nothing but careful with everything she had done, crushing nearly everything she’d touched in the first few weeks after the terrigenisis, which lead to her putting as little as possible into her grip. with a shaking hand, she raised the cup to her lips, pausing when she made eye contact with the person across from her. curiously, she quirked an eyebrow. ❝ may i help you? ❞ she asks, green eyes scanning them. ❝ or did your mother just never tell you it’s rude to stare? ❞

Liliana had to pull herself out of her thoughts when she heard the girl speaking to her, in all honesty she hadn’t even realised she was looking at someone. She was so caught up, thinking about the attacks and her problem, she tried not to think about it much it was better to stay in denial. She gave the redhead a small smile, “Sorry I didn’t mean to stare, I was just day dreaming.”

and part two!! under the cut there’s some info about Lilianas powers TRIGGER WARNING FOR DEATH

According to powerlisting wikia Necromancy is described as “The power to utilize magic involving the dead, life-force and/or souls.” and like a lot of powers it’s made up of a lot of subpowers some of which Lili has and some she doesn’t. For example she doesn’t have the power of Imortality.

Death Sense: The power to sense the coming of death and the actual act of dying. It’s only occasional, and it’s not a strong feeling just something in her gut, but as the power develops it’s going to get much stronger.

Pain suppression: The power to neutralize one's sensitivity to physical pain. She can temporarily suppress the pain of anyone who is hurting, not just close to death or dying, but she doesn’t know this yet. There is a toll on her and sometimes the pain can transfer from whoever she’s helping to herself. She has to be touching the other person in some way.

Pain Inducement: The ability to inflict agonizing pain by varying means. The pain is only temporary but can hurt like a bitch for whoever it is she’s hurting, she has to be touching the person or as it develops be in close proximity. She has no control over it and getting her mad or upset can set it off.

Reanimation: Power to reanimate corpses and dead beings She can manipulate dead beings making them move and react, completely under her control and the corpses are mindless like puppets. It’s difficult and takes a massive toll on her, completely draining her of energy if she does it for too long.

Resurrection: The power to bring the deceased back to life. This one is kind of self explanatory. It’s only for a limited time, but it lasts longer the more she practices (Which is never except accidental). She has to be touching the person and they have to be recently dead. It takes a massive toll on her like reanimation.

Soul Summoning: The power to summon souls from beyond the grave. She can summon spirits from beyond the grave in order to communitate with them. Also obviously a part of resurrection.

Death Inducement: The power to cause death, either instantly or after certain time. This is a power she suspects she has but doesn’t know for sure yet, and doesn’t ever want to know for sure. She has to be touching the person and actually try/think/concentrate on killing the person. It stops their heart after hurting the person (like with Pain Inducement) for a moment.

There are other things that I may consider adding later on once her character and power have developed more but for now this is the basics!!
