Perhaps it was just their dumb luck that they found themselves in this situation. Or rather the Black orders bad luck. It's not like the order was rather keen on airing out its dirty laundry. To hide its shame and failed experiments. Especially when somebody dead isn't as deceased as they claimed he was. One can only try to hide the truth for so long before it comes spilling to the surface eventually.

Heavy breaths escaped the injured exorcist as blue hues turned upwards at the stranger's back. His hands planted firmly on the ground with his own weapon laying a few feet away from him. A few moments later he would have been a goner. Sure - he would have regenerated eventually but it's not exactly the preferred route.

Alma's back hit the crumbling wall behind them, just taking a moment to catch his breath. Who would have thought the Akuma would have set up such an elaborate trap, eh? Making it seem like Innocence was in the area to hunt down exorcists. Then again - it was probably the Noah family as well.

❝ Aaaah! I was almost a goner! Hey, hey! Thanks for your help. . . um I don't remember hearing about other exorcists being in the area. ❞

A smile spread across his lips, canting his head to the side in delight.

The recipe was a new one that Kim Ga On wanted to try, it was a normal occurrence for him to spend time in the kitchen. Especially when it came to cooking meals for Elijah and Yohan on a daily basis. These cookies were something that he was excited to share. It was the reason why he came into the office with that plate resting between his fingers. The comfortable clothes being a set he had grabbed out of Yohan’s closet. The smell of pumpkin lingered in the air, he had made sure that they turned out perfect since no one wanted ruined cookies. It was true that Ga On had gotten annoyed once he learned that Yohan wasn’t fond of sweets, but he was trying to change that. It seemed that he managed to make him gain a bit of a sweet tooth though. 

“You should try them. I think I got the recipe to work finally.” The cookies were still warm as he had just pulled them out of the oven before allowing them to cool for a few minutes, at least. A burnt tongue wouldn’t be fun. It seemed that Yohan had a plan in mind though. 

A small huff escaped from him, but Ga On did pick up one of the cookies to give to him. “I think I am spoiling you a bit too much.”

Etsugo looked simply over the man before him. His golden eyes were puffy and red as he hadn't slept for a few nights now. "Um..." he shifted himself as he didn't know what to do or say. "I know you take confessions, this isn't a confession per se but..." he let out a tired sigh, "I bet you might think it's stupid but I lost my dog a few days ago and I can't sleep or eat or anything. It hurts to think about him gone, I had him for years so...can...can you help?"

“Absolutely.” The words leave Carmichael’s lips as soon as the young man’s question left his. He lifts from his kneeling position, having been praying, knees popping as he rises.  “Of course, I could pray for your pup’s safe return, but I think God would prefer I help in the search!” 

Carmichael places his hands on his hips as he gives the panic-strickened man good look-over.  He looked exhausted. Distraught.  Worried.  All things that Carmichael was sure he would be feeling if his own dog, Wilson, had gone missing.  Carmichael clasps a hand on the young man’s shoulder.  

“Let’s get you something to eat and drink.  You can tell me all about your dog whilst you eat, and then we’ll search.  How does that sound?”

The upcoming trip to the lost tomb was quick to catch Wu Xie’s attention, he wanted to see what laid beyond its walls. Who knows what secrets laid in wait for one to find? His curiosity always tended to get the best of him when it came to anything dealing with history, tombs held plenty of history. His presence probably already was frowned upon even before his arrival.  

His uncle had tried to hide the exertion from Wu Xie, but that obviously failed since he did confront him about the tomb. He wasn’t dumb, it wasn’t that hard for him to figure out what was about to happen. Yes, he was stubborn when it came to places that he wanted to explore. He didn’t hesitate to join the party that would be going into the tomb. 

Having Zhang there was a comfort in itself though, he had his trust. Wu Xie didn’t hesitate to trust him because of the bond that they had. 

It was the extreme heat of the desert that was going to be apart of the first downfall that Wu Xie was going to face. He never tolerated the heat well. The wobbling was a sign that something wasn’t right and the complaints that followed because of the heat. He was grateful for the water that was shared though. 

That wasn’t enough though, the heat did get to Wu Xie. That smile was quick to disappear, one that Zhang was fond of. At least, he didn’t have to worry about getting a mouth full of the dry sand that rested underneath their feet. 

Limp weight rested against Zhang’s back, a limp weight that most likely going to be there until they could find a place to camp for the time being.

      He placed his hand on the gun Zhao Yunlan was holding ; his hand shaking,  which Shen Wei had seen before.  “Don’t.”  He spoke softly,  making his boyfriend release the gun.  “Please do not say such words.  But if you ever wish to speak about what had happened then I’m all ears.  You know I am here for you.”  He looked around,  whatever was there escaped.  “Remember.  The battle may be lost,  but the war is far from over.  We’ll get them,  but for now,  I think it’s safe to say that we can go back to the apartment.”

Practice was finally over and Yoichi was heading out with a few of his teammates to grab something to eat. One of them suggested that new cafe around the block from the academy to try it out. Yoichi, of course, being the one that liked attention, just had to be in front of the group with his best friend/teammate by his side, chatting happily away about how many girls came to see them play.

Once they reached, he noticed this cute girl and opened the door for her, he grinned, "After you, my lady."

“Ah? Thank you!”

Well, for her first day at her part-time job, it was a good start -- a potential customer opening the door to her! Haruko gave him a quick smile and walked in, taking in the scent of coffee and sweets. It was a small place that had opened recently, and was looking for part-time waiters. A perfect chance for Haruko to earn a bit of money after school, enough to enjoy the funsies Tokyo had to offer without relying on her parents’ money. After all, her father just got the promotion, and they had just moved there. It was only fair she would work for her independency too!

She met the owner at the bar, a chubby man with thick mustaches. He handed her the new uniform -- a black t-shirt, black trousers, and a brown apron -- and directed her at the girls’ changing room. When she was done changing and walked back in the cafe while tying the apron behind her back, the owner handed her a notebook and a pen.

“Table number five is ready for the order,” he informed her. “They’re waiting for you.”

Haruko’s eyes scanned the cafe, quickly spotting the table; ironically, the one where the guys she met at the entrance were now sitting. “I’m on it!”

She headed towards the table, and stopped by, putting on her most polite smile and holding up the notebook. “Welcome to our cafe! How can I help you?”

The professor stared and gulped, and continued to stare some more, finding it hard not to look at Yunlan’s lips once the man asked him if he could kiss him. He could feel his own cheeks heat up as he acts a bit flustered. God, he wanted to kiss him ever since he saw him. Kunlun. He wanted to kiss him, to kiss Yunlan when he found him again. 

“Yes.” Shen Wei almost whispered as he stared at Yunlan with love in his eyes.
