Maybe he should have payed more attention during the pack meeting when they told everyone that Isaac was back from France, but no one had seen him since he arrived. Maybe he should have listened to Scott at lunch when he’d reminded Stiles to give him or Chris a call if Stiles were to ever see or hear anything to do with Isaac. Maybe he should gone home with Scott, rather than driving home alone when Scott offered to come hang out for movie night. However, he didn’t do any of these things. He was his own person and his own person was more focused on suppressing his powers in front of a pack of his natural enemies, even if the majority of them already knew of his secret.
Whatever he’d been thinking of while driving was immediately replaced with Holy shit, Holy SHIT! and him slamming on his breaks. It seemed that even as a supernatural being, if his mind was wandering his reflexes were very human. A terrified fawn scrambled across the empty road and out of his way, but Stiles was too shocked that’d he’d almost hit it to bother starting his voyage home once again. Instead the teen looked down to his phone. He’d heard it vibrate earlier, however, texting and driving was unsafe, and with his luck he’d check it as an officer is driving by. So he just didn’t touch it. One of the few legal things he bothered with.
Isaac is not to be approached
The text read, and Stiles rolled his eyes. The vampire tossed his phone into the passengers side of his jeep and unbuckled himself. Stiles slipped out of his car, just to make sure his vehicle was not about to hit anything else. Once outside the confined space of his febreezed jeep, Stiles could smell the reason why the baby deer had been wandering on it’s own. The outside stank of blood. He thought of getting back in his jeep and driving home, finding something else too eat, but here was a meal teasing him. He’d be foolish to just waist it, if someone else wasn’t going to.
Really, alarms should have been going off in his mind, but the vampire was already in hunting mode, and nothing was about to warn him of the several scenarios in which this could end up a trap and/or killing him. Stiles was focused on this meal. He started his way to the forest edge, phone still in his jeep, but, thankfully, keys in his pocket. Surely no one was going to use the back road, so leaving his car in the middle of the road didn’t concern him.
The vampire walked his way through the bright forest, weaving his way through the trees until he was met with the source of the blood that he had been smelling. There was a little patch of it almost 5 feet in front of him, but that must have been from the original attack, because the body of the large deer was twitching in the grass 10 feet or so away. It had been torn right open, and Stiles realized how accustomed to gore he’d become, because not a hint of sick came to him.
The scent was strong and the power from the beast that’d torn it open brought Stiles on edge. He was afraid, but not terrified enough to run. Rather he was curious. With burning red eyes, similar to an alpha’s, Stiles watched the thing tear into the beat and flesh like a wolf.
He was a wolf. It took a few more seconds, but Stiles had finally figured out what he was looking at. Isaac, blue eyes sparkling against the clashing red smeared on his face, was tearing into the deer like a wild animal. Was he supposed to run for his jeep or watch?
Isaac is not to be approached
That is what the text had read, but the vampiric desires inside him couldn’t leave the meal placed before him. And to watch something so powerful tear into the flesh of such a large animal was almost arousing, in a sick twisted sort of way. Stiles clung to the closest tree to him, using it to keep his balance while he watched, amazed, this dangerous and delicious scene play out before him.
