I love her dynamic with robots, and Sparkle especially. I think that their relationship is cute and unique, and they really do make two peas in a pod. I also like how smol but unafraid Dani is to whoop somebodys behind if it comes down to it
((*Hugs on* Thank you so much, hon. And to be honest, I really work to balance Dani’s seeming fearlessness with the fact that she does have some common sense. She’s wary, but she tries to put her best foot forward unless she has no other choice or try to just avoid conflict. As she likes to say, if she didn’t give some odd folks a chance, she might lose out on business... And she’d hope someone would return the favor for her.
Also, thank you, I tend to worry that people find Sparkles offputting, but I kind of like him as the quiet, snarky foil to Dani’s chipper attempts to be personable and kind (and her own buried sarcasm). And it was just like... “What’s a way that would make sense for a trader to travel long distances that didn’t include brahmin”, was honestly the initial root of the idea, and he just sort of became this “Grumpy older brother” figure to her))
