Dissconnoparents

A dissconnofamily term that refers to a disconnect a person feels towards their parents due to a multitude of factors. This is not a for "fun" label or a voluntary "I wanna be this ✨️✨️✨️", and is to acknowledge the disconnect

This term is NOT in support for "transitioning" tips/subliminals/advice/etc. As well they don't support the fetishization, romanticization, misinformation, etc. of mental illnesses, disabilities, religions, or ethnicities.

I made this one personally for me in due to the trauma my parents unknowingly put me through, I feel as if they’re not my parents, that I’m a Changeling and my real parents swapped me and my human counterpart when we were very little. So I made this to reflect that feeling of emotional disconnect and the little story I made up to cope with that :3

I want to use a different word for “parents” when referring to my “mother” and step father, I’ve seen “dna contributors” but I’m a Changeling they didn’t contribute to my dna at all and “The Two Whom Parent Me” is too long. Human Caregivers perhaps? I’ll decide on a name sooner or later…

I know what to call them individually, my “mother” is She Who Raised Me, my step “father” is The Surrogate Patriarch or The Beast when I’m feel a little spiteful, and my “bio father” is He Who Does Not Keep His Word not that I’ll be talking about him very often.
