You were going nuts. For real. You’ve said it many times before but you couldn’t take it anymore.
Lee Changsub was the most eccentric person you’ve ever met. He also happened to be your husband. You didn’t know exactly how or when you actually started to grow feelings for him but time could already prove that he was the one for you.
Despite the fact that he was always making fun of you when you tripped while walking down the stairs or started to speak in satori in the middle of a conversation, he was a gentle person in general. Not to mention the fact that you had several hilarious moments thanks to him. You even had to call the fire brigade once because he almost burned down the kitchen after a failed attempt to cook for you. You even had to buy a new bike because he didn’t have one and when he used yours, he managed to run into a truck and damaged the bike so badly that you didn’t even recognise it at first sight. Needless to say, he ended up breaking his own leg as well.
Taking all your shared misfortunes into consideration, you shouldn’t have been surprised that you got lost during your honeymoon. Not only once. You got lost for the fifth time that day. The fifth. You were already sick of hearing him say:
“I got this, honey. I know where we have to go this time. The last one was a mistake on my part but now I know. Trust me!” He used his puppy eyes against you and you immediately knew that you were under his spell. You could never say no to his puppy eyes.
So when you got lost for the sixth freaking time, you had enough.
“Okay, Changsub. That was it!” You clapped your hands to gain his attention.
He suddenly turned around to look at you, an amused expression being displayed on his face. On the other hand, you weren’t amused at all. In fact, you were more furious than ever. It would have been alright if you hadn’t been on your honeymoon. Three years with him and he could still surprise you. Life wasn’t meant to be boring beside him but you couldn’t decide whether you liked all the trouble he got you into or actually disliked it.
“I’m hungry, I’m tired, my shoes have officially given up on me, and we still haven’t found the light tower we wanted. So please, Changsub, just don’t tell me that you will get it right every single time you get it wrong. Don’t get my hopes up!” You almost begged him as your patience was wearing thin. Really thin.
You were in the middle of a Thai beach and you would swear that there weren’t any light towers around but your husband insisted on visiting the “most romantic sight” in the neighbourhood. The stuffy, hot weather, the lack of people around you and the ever-stretching beaches in front of your eyes didn’t help either. You were fed up with everything. You didn’t imagine that your honeymoon would go like this.
“I think we’ve just found the light tower we were looking for.” He pointed to somewhere behind you, so you turned around and came in sight with a beautiful and giant light tower. A reassured sigh immediately left your chapped lips.
“Right now, I don’t know if I want to kiss you or shove you off a bridge.” You said as you turned back to Changsub who was grinning more widely than ever. He was sure proud of the fact that he didn’t lie this time. He really found where you two had to head off.
“Can I pick?” He raised his eyebrows in question but you merely shook his head.
“No.”
“So are you going to kiss me?” Your husband took a step closer to you like he was trying to prepare himself for your move. However, it was time for your revenge.
“No.” You refused him right away and took a step back. “I’m looking for a bridge right now.” You teased him and enjoyed seeing his bewildered expression.
Well, he deserved it after all. You weren’t the one who got both of you lost in a different country during your honeymoon. He had to pay for his crime.
