It was probably a bad idea to try and take care of cats within this city. Only probably though. As it were, he was able to feed them when they lived outside, so what was stopping him from being able to do the same from within his apartment?
Well a few things actually but he’d deal with that when the time came.
Right now was the time for actually getting said cats---or more reasonably, a singular cat---to his apartment. They liked him well enough, especially since he had food, but every time he reached to grab one, it scampered away a bit then looked back at him. So he’d shuffle forward, still crouched, and try again.
This repeated with one particular cat---all black with two white front paws, as if it were wearing gloves, or socks---all until it got distracted playing with the trail of someone’s outfit. He took this opportunity to grasp the cat, but it’s claws were still stuck in the fabric, causing a loud rip to sound once he pulled the cat to his chest. Immediately looking up to apologize, he simply stared, blinking carefully. He knew this face.
“Ah...” there was a pause as he had to remember her name. “...Dorothea.”
★★ “alright, dorothea.” his tone was a bit sterner than he usually employed for these things, but this was getting ridiculous. he stood at her door with a bottle of wine, which he offered her before she could close the door on him. “you’re going to tell me why you’re mad at me. ..please. i don’t think anything was done wrong, so.. enlighten me.”

“Mmmm... you don’t seem to fit in with the others I’ve passed on the street. Your clothes are different... like mine. Your outfit, it suits you rather well.“ Nanami was always quick to drop a compliment or greeting to another when the mood suited her. She would be lying if were to say that the other woman didn’t have a pretty face and gorgeous clothes.
Of course, she wanted to know something, but there was no need to be so rude in going about this.
“Can you recall anything before coming here? I can, with frightening clarity. Maybe that’s good? ...Or maybe that’s bad.“
She followed up her statement with a tiny chuckle. Why?
No reason.

“ you made cake for your own birthday? ” lorenz kept the gift behind their back to surprise her after being welcomed in... but now they feel like they didn’t bring anywhere near enough. an entire series of ingredients for baking would have been more appropriate so they could make something for her instead.

It was the second time he had stood before the songstress’s door, the first to leave a package and vanish without a greeting -- quite a dishonorable thing to do, one would say, but he had feared she would have refused the gift if he had given her the chance! In his mind, then, the purpose superceded the tone.
Yet he still wished to speak face to face with Dorothea, whether at the behest of a proper social call after sending a gift or no.
He hoped she would not shut the door in his face upon opening it, but there was little he could do to alleviate her misgivings about him that would not border on such a gesture as he would make were he courting her, and that confusion he could hardly condone.
Knock knock.
Ferdinand von Aegir did not get anxious, but it would be a lie to pretend he did not feel some small amount of trepidation, waiting here like this. Strange and alien as this place was.
@chanteuser ♡ for a starter.
oddly enough, catherine was almost too nonchalant about being taken to a completely new place, most likely in some other world or dimension, where the citizens are all extremely different and either highly volatile or completely boring. in fact, one might be accurate to accuse that she was enjoying it. while the underworld was her home where she could explore her desires without disdain, and the human world was an excellent place to play, being somewhere so different thrilled her. the people all came in different shapes, sizes, and specials, not just humans and demons and...ugh, angels. here, she had different things to look at, different flavors to try.
for instance, she had decided to slip into one of the many cafes to indulge her sweet tooth. the only thing that distracted her from salivating over the display case of delectable creme puffs and macarons was the stranger in line beside her. catherine was a natural socialite, and when she saw someone who was very easy on the eyes, she was talking before she knew it.
”are you also having a hard time deciding?”
@chanteuser
She was on her way to get some coffee in her simple disguise of a trench coat, a scarf, and sunglasses ---a disguise that made her feel practically invisible, as silly as it would be to mention out loud--- when she saw a man boldly attempt to hold a woman at knife point. Before Ada could finish her thought about how terrible men could be, he was already thrown flat onto the pavement.
Clearly, the woman he tried to trifle with wasn't just a pretty face. Clearly very charmed by the way she handled the man, the spy walked up to voice her admiration.
"Wow, you handled that fast. I'm impressed." Ada spoke with all the sincerity she could muster. The man attempted to get back to his feet, but a kick to his head quickly put a stop to that. “Do you deal with this sort of thing often?”
