Even someone like Makoto needs a break from the hustle and bustle of the city once in a while. Typically, she spends that break time holed up in her home streaming whatever’s hot on Spiralflix or buying things in the Fox Village, but today’s work brought her to the Archimedes Ward. Savior’s Respite is nearby, but Makoto hasn’t been back there since she nearly had a heart attack thanks to someone who couldn’t understand subtext but who could fly off of a cliff.
Hopefully she’s not there right now.
It doesn’t take Makoto too long to reach the top of the trail, and the flowers that surround the path and the sun beginning to set over the city provide a view that can’t even be replicated by Fibonacci’s highest towers. Maybe it’s not too bad a place after all.
Makoto leans against a nearby tree, letting the day’s fatigue finally settle on her shoulders. Here, in a place where she can relax, she rolls her shoulders and lets out a yawn before her ears prick with the sound of approaching footsteps. It’s a young woman- probably around her age, and Makoto gives her a friendly smile before turning her gaze back out to the city.
“Really can’t beat the view, huh? I used to like the observation decks in Fibonacci, but this is a lot quieter. I got sensitive hearing, you know?” she says, gesturing to the furry ears atop her head. “But enough about me. What brings a gal like you all the way up here?”
