I quit quitting cigarettes today.
It takes on average seven tries to quit smoking, and I'm 31 and 13 years in and never even tried to stop.
I'm not failing at quitting, I'm getting one of those failures out of the way

it is so upsetting that kids are smoking cigarettes!!!!!!! in 2026!!!!! i started smoking in 2011 and two weeks ago i started taking a medication to literally clockwork orange me into quitting. fifteen years of smoking!
cigarettes went from $5 a pack to $15 a pack in that time and i now have a cough that won't go away. a 21 year old smoker in ripped tights outside a bar is cute. a 35 year old smoker leaning against a planter cos her knees hurt is not.
anyway, thank you chantix for the near 24 hour nausea and complete lack of desire to continue smoking. i am sad for the 20 year old past me who made this necessary.
