Wow, I can’t believe this is actually the last part : ( I always pictured writing a follow up series about their daughter, but obviously I left the blog so that won't be happening. We can always imagine it though : ) Thank you all for being incredibly patient and staying with me, I know it has not been easy but I'm glad that we embarked on this journey together. I hope you all stay happy, healthy, and just know that I'm ALWAYS available on my main account. You can also always ask for me on EXOBTS. I honestly have hard feelings about leaving, I didn't want to but I wanted to at the same time. It's one of those situations where the hardest decisions are truly the best for you, and I believe that was this case. I unfortunately grew to hate writing and ultimately fell out of love with EXO and BTS - To be honest, I still don't stan them all this much to this day : ( I guess writing twice a day, 6 times a week wasn’t for me, over time it really catches up to you and I hope you guys can understand that I simply needed a permanent break. Something that will however, never change, is my love for you guys and our relationship. I really, truly, will miss our little warriors!! you guys truly made logging on everyday worth it, and I wish you all the best of luck. I hope you will all remember Audrey and I because we truly tried our best for you, I really hope that you understand that I honestly did everything that I could until I couldn't anymore. I'm sure the new admins will be great! Lots of Love < 3
P.S. I will stick around for a few more days before I really get cut off from the blog to answer some asks and things about PIC : )
You could feel the throbbing deep inside your skull, the sandpaper taste of your dry mouth, the sore flashes of pain coming from your shoulder. Your fingers could feel the smoothness of the sheets your body was enveloped in, but when you attempted to flinch and crack them, they resisted your touch. You wanted to move your body in any which way, however it seemed impossible. Your limbs felt like they were going through thick honey and your flesh weighed tons which resulted in you to finally give up on attempting to move, your chest heaving due to your weak conditions.
All the effort that you put forth in order to move suddenly made your body realize how exhausted it had become. Your brain was shot and it couldn't remember much of anything, all you saw was darkness so you merely rested your head back once more and drifted off to sleep.
-
Your heart was desperately banging against your rib cage and your breaths were leaving you in huffs and wheezes. Your brain was spinning out of control, but you woudn't dare let yourself pass out at this very second. You couldn't even afford to miss a single step, survival was coming down to every single twitch of your muscle. If you slipped up or tripped once, you were all done for.
Kyungsoo was attempting to speak to you, but everything that he was saying came out as slurrs and disformed words. You squinted at him until he helped you up carefully, and the word bomb finally made it past his plump lips. His hands cupped your uninjured shoulder to help stabilize your equilibrium due to all the blood you were losing, and it was finally made clear that you needed to leave as soon as possible.
The only problem was the fact that you were both injured and Chanyeol definitely wasn't going to be able to walk anywhere. As much as it hurt you, You scooped your arm underneath his shoulder while Kyungsoo did the same, and the two of you began to move as fast as you could. Every muscle in your body was screaming in protest, but you merely grit your teeth and continued forward while dragging his body as best as you could.
You honestly don't remember the majority of walking through the hideout, your vision would usually black out every few seconds or so before you would come back down to earth in another part of the building. Your palms were dripping sweat, your legs were as weak as twigs, and you could barely catch your breath as you finally collapsed at the outside of the building.
-
You came back to reality a few hours later, and through your window you could see that the sun was setting at this point. Surprisingly, what happened to bring you back to earth was the fact that someone was softly humming and it lured you from unconsciousness. It was a sweet melody and it sliced through the nightmare you were having before. Although you were sure that it was a dream, you soon grew to realize that it had to be more than just a dream, it felt too real. The images were a little too vivid in your mind, and your muscles could feel the pain from pushing your body to its limit.
When you slowly managed to open your eyes, you were pleased to find that you were in peaceful room surrounded by white. White sheets, white counters, white walls, white clothes. Once you looked down though, you were surprised to find that your arm was wrapped in bandages traveling the span of your entire limb. Your shoulder was covered, and for some reason, your forearm was in the most pain. As you were rotating it back and forth, you looked to the right to find that Kyungsoo was actually sleeping in a chair next to your bed.
He had cuts decorating his face and most of the skin that was exposed, but other than that he didn't have anything else injured which caused relief to flood your senses. You suddenly remembered that he was trapped in the mirror maze, and you figured that all the cuts had to be from the glass shattering. You were glad also to see that the majority of the open wounds were soon to close up without the help of stitches, meaning that his handsome face wasn't going to be littered with scars everywhere. Kyungsoo got out easy, and you were very happy for that - you were even more thrilled that he didn't get caught in the mine field.
After calling his name a few times, he woke up and smiled sleepily at you, mentioning that he was ecstatic to see that you were awake. You nodded your head before asking how he was feeling, and he announced he was recovering speedily and that you were as well. As you finally asked about what happened, he then began to explain.
Although you had been shot, you had managed to help him by dragging Chanyeol's body all the way to the elevator, where the three of you successfully escaped. There wasn't much time left to the bomb exploding, which was why your trio was so frantic in getting away. You unfortunately didn't make it all the way to the end, you had lost so much blood that you passed out when you just reached the parking lot. Thankfully, the getaway car was just around the bend and they managed to scoop you all up before the building actually exploded to pieces. There was fire everywhere, pieces of cement blasting from the building, and it wasn't long before the authorities arrived and you were all speeding away from the scene.
You had lost an incredible amount of blood, and so had Chanyeol. Kyungsoo said he was able to sit his injuries through until they arrived at the base, but you and him were in critical condition. You had been confined to bed rest for a week or so, and the chip had been extracted from your arm in an emergency surgery. You had been asleep for quite some time, however you finally managed to wake up and here you are now.
When you asked about Chanyeol's condition, something that had been burning in your mind ever since you had woken up, Kyungsoo's wide smile assured you completely. He began to tell you that Chanyeol's first night was very scary, however it made it through the morning and had been improving on his health ever since. He needed a lot more rest than you did, but when you were able to walk again, you could go and visit him.
All the chit chat had made you tired again, and Kyungsoo could tell by your constant yawning and drooping eyelids. He suggested that you get some rest while he get you some water, and with that, you fell asleep once more.
-
You woke up again. It took a few attempts, but when your eyelashes finally decided to flutter and separate, you were able to see for the first time in days. Your vision was heavily blurry and you could hear a voice nearby, which caused you to groan just a bit to get their attention and announce your awakening. Your clumsy hand reached up to rub at your eyes in order to clarify your eyesight, and when you tilted your head ever so slightly, you were stunned to find someone you would have never expected.
Her back was turned to you at first, but you couldn't mistake the girl who had come to be one of your good friends. Long, straight black hair reached her elbows and you almost didn't recognize the female without her flower shop apron tied around her petite waist. When she eventually turned around, you couldn't mistake her slim fingers fidgeting with a bracelet that she always played with. Her forehead presented creases formed from stress and her eyes seemed unnaturally sad, which was a huge difference from how bright she normally appeared.
"Solar?"
Your voice was slightly croaky, however she heard you and quickly approached your bedside, taking a seat on the cushion in front of you. Her palms instantly cupped a mug of a water before handing it to you and encouraging that you drink, to which you did and relished in the cool feeling of the soothing liquid. You honestly had no idea how she found you and why she was here to see you, due to the fact you had been missing for practically 2 months. You could recall that the last time you had seen her was the morning you and Chanyeol had left for good. She wasn't feeling well and you sent her home before all the chaos ensued.
Once you had finished drinking, you placed the cup down and instantly asked how she had found you after such a long time without seeing one another. It was incredibly strange seeing someone from such a different time period of your life and you almost didn't believe that she was sitting right in front of you.
Solar almost looked crushed as she stressfully ran a hand through her hair and almost mumbled out her words.
"Remember I told you about how I had a boyfriend that went missing?"
At first you had no idea what she was talking about, but then everything hit you right in the face and your jaw instantly dropped.
The boyfriend that was abducted when she was a senior in high school.
The boyfriend that was an honor student and incredibly smart.
The boyfriend whose name was Seokjin - or Jin for short.
Your head began to spin which resulted in you to cup your cheeks with the clammy palms of your hands as you asked how she had known about the mafia aspect and how she had managed to find you.
Solar was dabbing her eyes with a napkin as she took a few deep breaths before finally explaining that she stumbled across Kyungsoo in Jin's old apartment a couple of days ago. He had been researching BTS and TBM just so that EXO could put it all in file in case anything arose from the terrible mafia group, and Solar happened to catch him in the act. When asked her relationship with Jin, she opened up and Kyungsoo managed to put two and two together and invite her to the dorms to find you. He noticed her apron from the flower shop right away which resulted in him to tell her the truth after so many months of waiting.
You were honestly at a loss for words, and the shock was suffocating you.
You could have told Jin that you knew his girlfriend, you could have saved him, you could have given him a shred of hope before it was too late. there were so many what ifs that it only made your head spin even move, so you went back to lying down.
"Please just tell me that he's at peace now."
You looked up in surprise.
Solar had puffy red eyes, her nose was dripping ever so slightly, her knuckles were white from how hard she was clenching her own hands together. You realized at this very moment that you were witnessing true heartache, this poor girl had been waiting on him for years and years and it seemed that all she wanted to know now was that he was finally at rest. You bit your own tongue because you didn't want to tell her that the last time you heard from him was a scream and then silence. You didn't want to share all the terrible ways he was tortured and how his life in BTS had been incredibly twisted. You didn't want to shatter her already fragile heart any more than you had to. There was no need to confirm the doubts in her mind.
So you smiled through all the scenes flashing through your mind, and you promised that Jin was at peace now.
And she smiled back at you.
-
You had heard great things about Chanyeol getting better each day, but you still hadn't seen or spoken to him.
It was the middle of the night, a few days after Solar had come to visit you. Your mind was buzzing with thoughts and you merely couldn't fall asleep no matter how many times you tried. You were no longer sore anymore, you were just a little weak and had some diet restrictions, but other than that, you were feeling brand new.
Your head tilted to look outside the window, and when you did, they landed on something which resulted in an idea to pop inside your head. You gently tugged out your IVs and slowly but surely manged to remove the blankets and stand up on your own. You had been practicing walking every few hours, and you were proud to say that you had almost gotten it completely down.
After strolling to the open curtains at a turtle like pace, you were barely able to lean over the window sill and snag a few flowers that just so happened to be growing alongside the building. It was slightly uncomfortable to be practically upside down, and you could feel the blood draining all the way to your head. You had to pause for a few solid minutes to rest after you stood back up again, but you were too focused to give up here and now.
You made sure to get a drink of water before you left your room quietly and tiptoed through the building, your dirt brushed hands clutching the flowers close as your eyes scanned the dark hallways. You had made sure to ask Kyungsoo earlier which room Chanyeol was staying in, and although it was almost across the building from you, you knew that it was going to be worth it. You found your feet leading you rather than your mind pointing out which way to go, and you were almost biting the inside of your cheek just so that you wouldn't slip up and make any noise. You knew that this was practically your home, but all the EXO members were incredibly alert and you didn't want them to freak out in any which way. The pads of your socks made light noise, and before you knew it, you found yourself right outside Chanyeol's room.
You raised your hand to knock, but you paused halfway through and scrunched your eyebrows together, unsure of whether or not you should continue.
You stood like that for a few minutes before finally taking a deep breath and slowly opening the door a crack just so that you could stick your face in.
And what you saw took your breath away.
Chanyeol was sitting sideways on the bed, his eyes staring out the window before they darted over at your figure curiously. You were quickly able to take in the changes of his appearance ever since you had laid eyes on him for the first time in a month. His skin was much, much more healthier looking and he seemed to gain a few more pounds which was very assuring. His hair was much darker than before and instead of it being trimmed and spiked upwards, it had grown out quite a lot and was rather messy looking. He was bandaged all over, whereas you had shed them. You were about to retract your head and probably run back to your room, realizing this was probably a bad idea -
He smiled at you.
It wasn't any normal smile, you had seen plently of casual simpers from this boy. It wasn't your average tug of the lips that you had witnessed day after day. This was a genuinely happy smile. You could see the pearl white of his teeth and the pink gums of his mouth. Although he did still look rather dull, you could see light and brightness residing within his eyes and you almost found yourself falling head over heels once again for him. Your heart swelled with warmth and you were so happy to finally be with Chanyeol once and for all. A smile finally made its way across your face, and you eagerly walked over to the male.
You sat down next to him on the bed and handed him the flowers that were in your hands, and when he looked down at them, his smile only grew bigger and his hands gently cupped your own so that he could place the plants on his nightstand. Before you could comprehend the situation, his arms eagerly enveloped you into a tight embrace and you could feel him dig his face into the side of your neck. He inhaled the aroma of your comforting shampoo while you remembered the scent of his cologne. A flood of memories rushed in your mind and you couldn't help but grin when you remembered cooking, cuddling, and even shooting together.
It felt like an eternity before he pulled away, the pads of his fingers gently tugging at a few loose strands of your hair as he stared deeply into your eyes.
"Thank you for saving me Babydoll - Really, I owe you my life."
"Thank you for saving me." You murmured to him, your eyelids crinkling at how happy you were.
"Of course, we are Partners in Crime afterall."
It was one of those magical disney moments, you were sure of it, but everything seemed to happen in slow motion. His bandaged hand came up to cup your face, and you loved the contrast of his textured palm against your smooth cheek. His eyes refused to break contact from yours as he leaned in closer and soon enough, his lips were pressed against yours and you relished in the soft feeling. Your noses would sometimes collide together as you two kissed one another, but everything just felt so right.
2 years later.
Seoul, South Korea
Her fingers were skimming the plant's healthy leaves as a few sighs escaped her mouth, and the female raised the watering can higher to feed the organism. Solar continued to go about the normal routine that she had memorized for years by now, humming softly to the distant radio as she finally set the watering can down and wiped her hands on her green apron. The girl would then move on to other tasks that the workers of the flowershop were known to do, such as order more stock and plant some more seeds, the basic routine. Every now and then, the bell above the door would ring and she would turn around and greet the newest customer with a smile. It was all familiar to her by this point in time.
Every day, the sun would set and she would close up shop and ultimately go home to study.
The jingle of the bell caused her to call out that they were about to close, and thoughtlessly she placed the bucket of soil down before walking over to the entrance to greet the male anxiously awaiting her.
The packet of seeds dropped from her hands and her smile faded.
"Oh my god."
Disbelief turned into tears and she flung herself into the arms of Jin, who broke down into sobs himself as he enveloped her into a firm hug and promised that he would never leave her again like that.
Paris, France
You were seated at a cafe in the middle of the bustling capitol of France, the token city of love that stole a multitude of hearts. Who better to be sitting across from Chanyeol, who was currently wearing a suit and sipping a warm cup of coffee. You two had your feet hooked together underneath the table as you caught bits and pieces of conversations floating around from other tables. You were wearing a floppy sun hat and a brightly colored dress to go with the summer air, and you couldn't help but feel incredibly normal. Your fingers were stirring the spoon in your tea around in circles, your eyes were scanning the vehicles and stores around you. This had to be one of your most favorite moments of all time.
The two of you were called to duty in Paris due to the fact you were both fully functioning members of EXO, and because of suspicious activity ensuing. It had been a week since your plane had landed, and since then you and a handful of other chosen individuals had worked to demolish any threats. For the last few days, you and Chanyeol had spent this time almost as vacation because you both didn't have many chances to relax, especially overseas.
Your heart was content, and your mind felt light.
Until you looked up to find that Chanyeol had placed a small, velvet box in front of you and you could easily guess what it was.
He was grinning from ear to ear as he got down on one knee, and gasps erupted from all sides of you. His slim fingers picked up the box and gently opened it, and you felt your cheeks heating up from how shy you were becoming yet how ecstatic you were. Inside lay a rather expensive diamond ring, and you almost started laughing when you saw the smallest initials of PIC decorating the interior.
