Hyeri
Snow covered ground and the sounds of animals.
"You have definitely done it this time Nam Hye Ri! You idiot.." The girl muttered to herself as she rubbed her gloved hands over the white fur coat that hung around her body.
Three days prior to the current day, the girl's father had told her to stop burying herself behind books and to go out and have fun. But instead, she had asked if she could stay at their cabin deep within the forest. Her father of course agreed, but then she begged him to let her travel alone with no guards.
She had enjoyed the snow for the past two days after arriving to her family's cabin. But earlier during the current day, she had decided to venture past the from gates that surrounded her family's cabin.
So now, here she was. Lost, alone, and very hungry.
"Ugh! Which way did I come from?" She muttered to herself as she glanced around. "Maybe I came from north.." She muttered as she glanced upwards where the hill steepened and lead to who knows where.
She was probably miles away from the cabin. And what was worse was that she hardly been to the cabin during most parts of her life or explored the hills that she was currently roaming around on.
The chance of her being found before she was frozen to a popsicle or mauled to death by some animal, was a high chance and she knew that. But she was lost and had no choice but to continue forward.
"Please let it be this way.." She muttered just as she reached the top but just as her foot moved to to step down, she went tumbling down the hill.

Chanyeol
"Race you guys to the north borderline!" Tao shouted and then Suho nodded. "One." Suho started the countdown and all twelve boys got ready to run. "Two." Suho teased, taking a while longer to get their excitement more high than it already was. "Go!" Suho shouted and all of them took off in a sprint to the borderline.
Chanyeol ran past Kyungsoo and Sehun as they got closer to the borders but then skidded to a stop as he saw Lay gasp, and they all made a sharp turn left, following their pack's doctor. Less than a moment later, Chanyeol stopped and stared as they all were gathered around something.
"Move out of the way! We have to get her to the pack house!" Lay shouted to the others and they quickly broke apart. When they did Chanyeol noticed a pale looking girl in his friend's arms. Her scent was driving him towards Lay and he stopped when the two reached each other.
Chanyeol felt the pull towards her and he couldn't help but quickly check her over. Her forehead had a scratch close to her right temple and it had dried up blood. He than glanced at her wrist and hand that wasn't covered by her fur coat and noticed there were miner scratches.
"Chanyeol, please move!" Lay hurriedly said but Chanyeol growled at his friend. To be more exact, his wolf pushed forward and growled. "I'll take her. Our cabin is closer than the pack house, just don't fall behind." Chanyeol growled at him and took her from his friend and into his own arms.

Hyeri
"That was my own, you stupid kid!" Someone shouted. "You weren't eating it!" Someone else shouted back. "Hey! I found that red color pencil I have been searching for!" Someone shouted and Hyeri heard faint movement.
"Oh, hey! I think Sleeping Beauty is waking up!" A gentle voice shouted and then all at once there was feet running against the floor..
Wooden.. Just like the cabin.. Oh great.. Instead of being eaten or frozen to death, I have been taken and they will keep me forever and- She was thinking to herself when someone spoke up from somewhere beside her.
"She's so pretty!" The voice that sounded like the one who spoke of the color pencil, shouted but was shushed by the others. "Should we wake Chanyeol?" Someone asked but someone scoffed.
"Don't bother, that jerk doesn't even come to check on her! He probably wants to get rid of her quickly!" The person muttered. And for a strange reason, the name and knowing that the 'Chanyeol' guy wanted to 'get rid of' her made Hyeri feel hurt and unwanted.
"Wah~ Even when her face scrunches she is so cute!" Someone said. Hyeri took this moment to slowly open her eyes, only to wish that she hadn't. When her vision had cleared up she saw a bunch of boys staring down at her.
Her thought than ran miles per second, thinking they were all handsome, while and she probably looked like a mess. What even happened! I know that I fell.. She gasped as she remembered what had happened and tried to sit up.
"Don't get up too fast, you broke a few ribs when you fell." So that's who the gentle voice belonged to. He smiled and I just blinked. He was handsome, his hair was colored black, his eyes were brown, and he had the deepest dimples.
"Hello!" Hyeri's eyes shot to her left where a guy kept smiling. He sounded like Color Pencil guy. "Don't worry, you're safe and in our cabin out here in the forest." He tells Hyeri and her eyes went wide.
The guy beside him, who had blond hair, rolled his eyes and shoved Color Pencil guy away by his face. "That didn't sound creepy at all!" The guy muttered and then smiled at me. "Ignore Tao, he's weird." He tells me just before backing away and started arguing with Color Pencil guy as they left the room.
Dimple guy sighed and signaled his friends to back up, which they quickly did and Hyeri slowly sat up. Hyeri stayed quiet as she looked at the group and took their features in. In the end, her mind had come to the conclusion that she was safe with these boys..
"Hey!" Color Pencil guy ran in with a plate of food in his hands. "Chanyeol cooked!" He shouted as if it was the biggest news. "He was in MY kitchen?! He could have burned the house down!" A short guy with cute big eyes shouted then rushed out of the room. Color Pencil guy peeked out the door and chuckled then looked back to the others and came to sit beside Hyeri.
"I'm Tao! Here, brought you food. Hyung said it already cooled off, so I grabbed the plate before he could tell me to wait for the others!" Tao said with a smile..
No one whom I didn't know had ever treated me like this, unless appa paid them.. Hyeri thought to herself and couldn't help the blush that painted her cheeks.
"Thank you.." She muttered and Tae nodded. "Tao, look after her while we grab our food, we'll send Kyungsoo to give you your food." Dimples tells him and he nodded ecstatically.
~~~~~🐺~~~~~
Chanyeol
"She's so quiet." Chanyeol heard Chen say to the others. "I wonder how long she was out there.. How could we have not sensed her on our territory?" Kai questioned as they entered and started grabbing their plates.
Chanyeol sat at the table in silence and glared at them as they carried on in getting their lunch. "Stop glaring." Kyungsoo told him Chanyeol turned his glare towards him.
"Chanyeol, stop." Kyungsoo tells his friend then set his fork down and sighed. "You didn't want to take care of her until she woke, so don't get angry at us for trying to help your mate." Kyungsoo tells Chanyeol, who growled at him.
"Kyungsoo," Suho spoke up as he walked over to the table and held a plate out. "Can you take this to Tao, he gave his first plate to the girl.." Suho asked and Kyungsoo nodded as he lifted his own plate.
"And can you just help him in the infirmary room?" Kyungsoo nodded again and left as Suho took his place followed by the others.
"Stop being that way... Not everyone is like the person who should not be named. She looks like a nice girl." Luhan said then shoved a spoon full of fried rice into his mouth.
"Yeah, unlike the person who should not be named, she is more quiet and has a calm vibe. I like her." Kris stated as he grabbed a glass cup and filled it with water then left the room.
A/N: This is the second chapter for an in-progress series, the links for which are on my mistresslist. This work is 18+
You were gently pulled from the depths of unconsciousness by the warm wet sensation of something licking your forehead. Opening your eyes in alarm, you saw that it was Chanyeol, who was not, in point of fact, licking you, but gently dabbing at your temple with a wet cloth that he periodically dipped into a bowl of warm water. You could smell witch hazel, and the sharp, herbaceous odour of tea-tree oil. You shrank back, and he stopped his ministrations, eyes flickering to yours.
Looking around, you took your bearings. You were gently sinking into a comfortable forest green corduroy couch, in front of a crisply roaring fire, in what looked like a well-appointed cabin. Under the pervasive odour of tea tree oil, you could scent the strong smell of pine, loam, and crushed leaves. Chanyeol had taken off his jacket, but was still dressed in his vest and shirt, the sleeves of which were rolled up to his elbows. He had undone the first two buttons of his shirt, and loosened his tie. His intoxicating, spicy scent wafted up from inside his shirt, swirling around your head.
“Welcome back,” he said.
Looking back at him, you asked, “Where am I?”
“You’re in my home; you took quite a tumble. Nothing seemed broken, but how do you feel?”
You did a quick inventory of yourself. Everything felt fine, except for your head, which was throbbing. “My head hurts, but that’s it.”
“That’s to be expected, given how hard it hit that log.”
You closed your eyes and tried to recall a memory of what he was saying, but the last thing that you remembered was him offering to walk you home. “What happened?”
“You were walking away, tripped over something, fell, and hit your head,” Chanyeol said matter-of-factly.
“I don’t really remember…”
“That’s not surprising. You have a mild concussion, but nothing a few aspirin, some butterfly bandages, and plenty of rest won’t cure. You won’t even have a scar.”
“Are you a doctor?” you countered. Chanyeol just smiled mysteriously, and began to apply the bandages. “Seriously,” you said, “I want to know. I’m going to need a proper medical diagnosis from a real doctor.”
Chanyeol’s grin widened. “I’ve had extensive EMT training, as well as countless hours of field experience.”
“Oh. So…are you a medic? What is it that you do?”
“A tid of this, a bit of that,” he said, evasively. “All done. Have a look.” He handed you a mirror.
You looked with trepidation, but aside from some superficial, if colourful bruising, and a small gash held together by the butterfly bandages, your face was otherwise unharmed. You dimpled shyly as you looked at him. “I don’t mean to seem ungrateful. Thank you.”
“No thanks needed. I was happy to have been of service.”
“Well…I hate to run, but I really must get on to my grandmother’s house.” Chanyeol stared intensely at you.
“You can’t.”
“I…can’t?” you faltered.
“No. A freak snowstorm hit while I was carrying you here. We’re completely snowed in. Look outside.”
Disbelievingly, you stood up to open the curtains. The edges of your vision flickered and you swayed.
Chanyeol steadied you with a firm grip on your arm, then rose and pulled you to him. “Come with me,” he crooned in your ear, “I’ll show you.” Guiding you over to the windows, he pulled back the draperies to reveal a world dressed in white.
“What the devil is this?” You looked sharply at Chanyeol, who gave an elegant shrug of his shoulders.
“The temperature has dropped precipitously since the sun went down. Surely you felt it. Why else were you so bundled?”
“I…just dressed, I didn’t give it too much thought.” You paused. “It never snows this much here. It barely snows at all, not to mention at such an unseasonable time for it.”
“And yet, there you are,” Chanyeol said with finality, languidly waving a hand toward the window. With what you were coming to realize was his perpetual wolfish grin, he added rhetorically, “If you can’t trust your eyes, then just what can you trust?”
“Certainly not you,” you said softly, without thinking. Realizing your rudeness, you blushed scarlet and started to stammer an apology.
Chanyeol just grinned all the wider. “Smart girl.”
You searched his face, but despite its sharp planes, you found no malice. Unthinkingly, you reached up and placed your hand on his cheek. His pupils dilated until the iris was almost eclipsed by black, but other than that, there was no reaction. Dismayed by your own forwardness, you dropped your hand as if his face had burned you.
“I need to call someone to let them know where I am.”
Chanyeol started shaking his head before you even finished your sentence. “I’m afraid that I have no phone. I’m a rustic sort. No phone, no TV, no Internet.”
You felt your eye twitch; you were a daughter of the tech age. “No Internet?”
He laughed. “Teasing. I actually do have satellite service, but in storms like this, snow covers the dish and the end result is…no Internet.”
“Well, how long are we going to be here?”
“I haven’t the foggiest,” he said, comfortably. Your stomach took that moment to let out an ominous rumble. “Someone needs feeding. For better or for worse, you are my guest and as such, it is my distinct pleasure to see to all of your…physical needs.” You self-consciously wrapped your arms around yourself. “Follow me. I’m sure that I can scare up something.”
He led you to a dining room dominated by a long cherrywood table surrounded by high backed chairs. “Sit,” he commanded. You bristled slightly at his tone, but you were tired and hungry, as well as a guest in his home, so, after paying lip-service to your pride by giving him a look, you sat. “Good girl.” He reached into his pocket, and pulled out a small bottle of Tylenol PM. Reaching across the table for a carafe and glass, he poured you a glass of water, saying, “Take three of these. They should help with your head.” He left the room, but soon returned with a giant silver platter full of fruit, nuts, cured sausage, honey, bread, cheese, and two sharp little knives in one hand, and a bottle of grape juice in the other. “You must excuse me. I’m a bachelor. I have plenty of food, but none of it is particularly fancy.”
“My basket–”
“–Is in the living room.”
“I have some food in there. My mom had sent me a care package, and in it she included some things for my grandmother, which is why I was on my way to her house. I also brought most of my things to share with her, so that should supplement your stores.”
“We’ll dip into it, if necessary, but—”
“I have cookies.”
Chanyeol paused. “I’ll get it.” A moment later, he returned. Laying your basket on your lap, he looked at you. “Why don’t you make yourself comfortable? I can put your cape on the coat-rack. ”
“Oh…thank you.” You stood to untie your cape when he moved behind you.
Reaching around, he brushed away your hands. “Allow me.” He untied your cape, his fingers gently brushing against your throat. As he slid it from your shoulders, the backs of his hands brushed against your arms. The contact was minimal, but you felt your face grow hot. When he returned he looked at you. “You’re blushing.”
“I’m…quite hot. I’ll be fine.”
“Indeed. Shall we?” You both tore into the food. You hadn’t realized how hungry you were until you started eating. You groaned as you bit into a piece of bread and cheese. You didn’t have time to be embarrassed, however, because Chanyeol was wolfing it down even faster. He wasn’t a rude eater, but an expeditious one. You grinned. You had always enjoyed watching men with good table matters enjoy their food and it was nice not to have to act like a lady while your stomach burned with hunger. Soon, however, the silver platter was clean, and you were halfway through your packet of Hob Nobs. You sighed, and sat back. Chanyeol nodded. “I second that.” You blinked your eyes in contentment.
Several moments later, you realized that your eyes were still closed. Before you could open them, Chanyeol swung you into his arms and started out of the dining room. You struggled against him until he said, “Relax, little one. I’m just carrying you to the guest room. My room is down the hall.” Realizing that your struggles were useless anyway, you relented. Deep within yourself, you sighed. His body was as hard as marble. A thrill ran through you as you enjoyed a luxury that you hadn’t experienced since you were a child. Of course, it was quite different, being carried by your beloved Papa, and being carried by a rugged, enticing man who was definitively not anything like your sweet, gentle, owlish Papa.
Chanyeol turned into a room, and sat you gently on the bed. The Tylenol were just beginning to work, and you blinked sleepily down at him as he undid your shoes. Looking up at you, he reached under your skirt, sliding his warm, callused hands along your calves and thighs, until he reached your garters. Drawing one hand back down your leg, he put it beneath your knee, lifting it as he unhooked the back of the garter. Gently placing your leg back against the mattress, he undid the front and side, and then tenderly, yet methodically folded the stocking down your leg.
You knew that you should be affronted at his effrontery, but you were tired, warm, and full of good food. Besides, what with the way that he was looking at you, and the warm scent of his hair teasing your nostrils, you were half tempted to let him do a lot more. He unhurriedly repeated the process with your other leg, looking into your eyes the entire time. Then, folding your stockings together, he placed them in your shoes.
He rose, towering over you as he looked down into your face. Starting with the bottom button, he slowly undid your vest, and peeled back the halves, then folded it into the drawer by the bed. As he turned back to you, you raised your arms. Reaching down, he began to pull up your shirt. Pausing, he ran his hands over your stomach. He swallowed, and looked at you. “Corset?” he asked hoarsely.
“I like them,” you shrugged.
Taking a shuddering breath, Chanyeol pulled up your shirt, and folded it away with your vest. He took a step back, and looked at you. Your golden-brown skin fairly glowed against the cream silk brocade. “My, my, my, Little Red. You almost make a man forget to be a gentleman.” You dimpled shyly.
“Turn around,” he softly commanded. You paused, unsure. Then you slowly turned around. “Pull your hair to the side.” Reaching behind you, you caught your heavy mass of hair with one arm, and pulled it over your shoulder. Chanyeol didn’t move for awhile. Just as you were about to turn back around, you felt his fingers begin to leisurely unlace the back of your corset. As each row came undone, you felt the hot backs of his fingers gently brush against your spine. Finally the work was done. An expectant heaviness hung in the air.
You slowly turned back around, holding the corset to your chest. Chanyeol looked at you, and then leaned close. You closed your eyes and tilted your head. You felt his hand brush back your hair from your temple, his breath gently fan over your face. He whispered, “That wound looks as if it’s beginning to heal already. I trust that a night’s rest will do you great good.” By the time his words registered and you opened your eyes, he was gone.
Follow me @vampwrrr, for the most up-to date posts.
your date was creepy, your dress was way too revealing for this type of weather and your phone was dead.
fuck.
when your friends suggested you to a dating app, you thought it was a harmless idea, your boyfriend of 5 years had been cheating on you and you had broken up with him a year ago; it was time to get back out there.
however when your date turned out looking nothing like their profile picture you should have taken that red flag and ran, but no, you're too nice for that.
so that how you ended up in the middle of the fucking forest because your date liked the scenery.
As soon as he said ‘ill be back, i just need to get something from the car’ you bolted. you weren't that dumb bitch people see in the movies; you weren't about to get murdered, no fam, not today.
so now here you were, wandering through the forest, looking for your way back. you thanked Jesus that you didn't give your date your address and decided to meet up at a local cafe before driving here, but you cursed the lord for your clothing decision of a dress.
the forest is not a good place to wonder at night, everyone knows shit goes down in the forest.
every single noise started spooking you out. twigs snapping, leaves shaking, everything.
suddenly the sound of a wolf howling urged a small scream to escape your lips, it sounded so close and sounded loud.
you almost bolted in the opposite direction but the whimpers that followed the howl had you freezing in your place. the wolf was hurt?
shit. do you go and help it? no, of course not Y/N it's a freaking wild animal!..it could be friendly?
you face palmed at yourself before eventually deciding that you should go and look at the situation and then decide.
as you slowly approached where the howl had come from, you heard the continuing whimpers of the wolf and it broke your heart. it was almost like a sad puppy.
you shook the feeling off reminding yourself that you could be in potential danger before straining your neck over the branches to check it out.
on the floor of the forest lay a large white wolf, his fur was long and beautiful but you could help but notice the large stain of red on its leg; it was bleeding.
by the way, the wolf wailed and rolled on the ground, you decided he was too injured to hurt you and it was safe to SLOWLY approach the wolf.
as you stepped into view the wolfs head immediately snapped towards you, his eyes were almost as wide as yours as the two of you stared at each other awkwardly.
the wolf flopped his head back down to the ground and continued whimpering, almost asking for your help.
as you walked up to the wolf you were going through the options of how you would help him.
he let out a barkish noise when you touched his wound.
for some reason though, you were afraid, it was kind of as if you had known each other for years.
“Okay buddy, you're gonna need to help me out okay?” you said even though you were pretty sure he had no idea what you were saying.
as you tried to push the wolf onto your shoulder so he could lean on you for support. you completely forgot that this was an extremely large wolf and of course he would weigh like mhmmm.. a lot.
the wolf seemed to know what you were trying to do as he hoped along side you.
the poor thing was bleeding out blood and you were losing energy as you finally reached the end of the forest, thank god you didn't live far from the forest and in the city like most of your friends.
you thought about taking him to the vet and claiming that he was just a rather large dog but you didn't think anyone would believe that; therefore, the only option you had was to talk the injured wolf back to yours.
you stumbled through your door, the wolf barely fitting through the frame. as his body hit various pieces of furniture he whined in pain causing you to roll your eyes in annoyance. this damn wolf was starting to get on your nerves.
you plopped the wolf on your couch and instantly regretted it because the blood stains are going to be very difficult to remove.
“okay...now what?” you asked as you huffed and puffed. the wolf gave you a puzzled look before it clicked in your head that he couldn't actually respond.
you groaned before going to grab a tee-shirt big enough to wrap around his wound but also apply pressure to it. As you tied it around his leg he let out another whimper before snuggling himself into your couch.
you awkwardly stood there contemplating getting a blanket for him? do wolves even need blankets? is it even a he?
you sighed tiredly before deciding to just retreat back to bed. today had been fucking insane.
---------------
as soon as you passed out it seemed like morning came around.
you groaned tiredly as the light from the window shone into your eyes. you were not a morning person, not at all, not one bit actually.
*shuffle shuffle*
your eyes widened as you stared at the ceiling in silence. The wolf!
quickly ran out of your room and followed the shuffling noise, but you couldn't find the large wolf anywhere and it's not like he's easy to lose.
you stared at the couch he was previously on in confusion. where the fuck did he go.
“You're awake” you heard some chirp.
naked. there..who..why was he naked.
you screamed loudly as you closed your eyes and felt around for something you could use as a weapon.
“What!? did you see a spider?!” he shouted nervously as you continued to scream, the both of you were now running around the apartment in a panic.
“Who the fuck are you and how did you get in here?!” you shouted as you pointed a knife at the stranger who was undeniably attractive but nether the less, a stranger.
he stopped running around screaming before pointing at himself in confusion.
“hey did i- IM HUMAN?!” they boy shouted in complete shock as he looked down at himself.
“yes thank for your stating the obvious” you commented as you chucked a tea towel at his bottom half.
“How did you do it?” he asked as he ran up to you excitedly.
“okay oh god, you are extremely naked right now” you said as you awkwardly turned around, but the strange boy wasn't having it.
“You turned me back into a human! how?” he asked again as he grabbed your hand in his extremely large one.
“What are you talking about, who the hell are you and how did you get in here?” you asked as you removed your hand from his.
that action brought a sad look on his face as his shoulders slumped down.
“You don't remember? you brought me in here last night? my leg was injured” he stated as you walked to your bedroom, him following close behind you.
“...what the fuck...you're..you're the wolf?” you asked after freezing in your spot, confusion now clouding your brain.
“yer the wolf! that's me” he smiled as you chucked some of your oversized clothes at him. you never thought getting the wrong size from online shops would come in handy.
“this doesn't make any sense” you said as you sat down on your bed. He put on the underwear and the white tee-shirt before joining you happily.
“so how..how did you change from a wolf to a human?” you asked him in confusion.
“there's a whole bunch of us actually, usually to get changed back into a human, the wolf has to be considered worthy by the moon princess...although, i have heard cases where a human and wolf form a bond, this bond then lets the wolf shift from wolf to human form to serve his human mate until the end of time” he explained happily.
you just stared at him. what the actual fuck.
“this is a joke, right? your friends with that guy I ran away from last night and this is revenge right?” you said trying to figure out what was going on, but the look on his face showed you otherwise.
“okay so...what do I call you?” you asked as you shook your head in disbelief, this is actually happening.
“i actually, don't have a name” he sighed as he rubbed his head nervously.
“okay Firstly, let's get you some clothes, secondly, you sleep on the couch and thirdly, what do you eat?” you asked him as you went to get changed in your cupboard.
As he tried to follow you in you quickly closed the door leaving him to wait for you outside.
“i’ll eat what you eat” he said as you slipped on some fresh clothes.
is this like babysitting? what do i do with him?
as you finished getting changed you decided the best thing to do was leave him occupied here, while you go and get him clothes.
you sat him down and turned on the T.v in the living room.
“okay! here are the rules while I'm gone” you said as you paced in front of him, his eyes were glued to you as he listened carefully.
“you do not leave this house, you do not answer the door if someone knocks, you do not take anything out from its original spot and put it somewhere else okay, i need to be able to trust you before that happens okay?” you asked carefully making sure he fully understood.
he nodded his head quickly before crossing his legs on the couch.
“here, watch some T.v, relax...ill be back soon” you said as you turned the t.v on, some k-drama was playing so you knew it would be fine.
-----------------
ugh, whats his size?
no that looks too small...
but that looks too big...
as you walked through the entire mall looking for reasonably priced clothes that would fit the giant current vacating your home, you constantly kept thinking about shit you would need to get him.
the boy needs a toothbrush, he needs his own deodorant, he needs all the shit another human being would need.
after shopping for what seemed like a decade you had finally gathered all the things he would need. you even got him a phone.
what do you even call him?
how do you just enter him into my life...like what do you tell your friends?
you sighed as you pulled up to your house with all the shit you just bought. you can't believe this is now your life.
“I'm home!” you shouted out as you struggled through the doors.
before you could do anything you were met with soft lips on yours and a bear hug.
you froze in your spot as his lips moved against slowly, your stomach did a little flip as he deepened the kiss; your eyes fluttered shut as you lost yourself in pleasure before realising what was going on.
“welcome back honey” he smiled happily as he pulled away.
you were still completely frozen, confused and surprised about what just happened.
“why...why did you k-kiss me?” you stuttered as you shook off your initial shock.
“isn't that what I was supposed to do? on the T.v the man came home and the woman greeted him with a kiss and said ‘welcome back honey’...did I not do it right?” he asked curiously.
“you have a lot to learn” you sighed as you placed the bags on the table.
-----------------------------------------
The first week was hell. You had to take a week off from work just teach him simple human mannerisms.
mannerisms such as don't take your clothes off randomly because it's too hot, you understood why he would want to, everyone wants too, but its not socially acceptable.
He was attached to your hip, which got extremely annoying, especially when he would just walk into the bathroom while you were showering. The habit of locking the door was still new to you.
The second week went a little better, he was adapting to the human lifestyle, you had even given him a phone for when you were at work and he needs to reach you. At first, it seemed like a mistake, they boy was calling you every five minutes.
‘a bird flew into the window! what do i do?!’
‘why doesn't Harry go live with Dumbledore? or Hagrid? why does he have to stay with those mean people?’
‘i miss you, come back’
eventually, you were even able to take him outside, you gave him the name chanyeol, you had seen the name pop up on someone's phone as you creepily read their messages and thought it was fitting.
your friends loved him, of course, they did, he was attractive, adorable, practically a prince and altogether the perfect boyfriend material.
“Y/N!” he called from the bathroom as you lay on the couch scrolling through your twitter feed.
“What!” you called back as you continued to scroll. it was 10 pm at night, he probably just put too much bubble serum in the bath again.
“whats this?” you heard him say as he approached you.
as you turned around, your heart sank and your cheeks flared red as you saw what was in his hand.
a vibrator.
your vibrator that you haven't even used yet.
Due to your lack of a boyfriend and your lack of dates, that also meant that you have had a lack of dick.
that's not necessarily a bad thing, but your friends thought it was.
“errr, its just something that woman use, when they need it” you said awkwardly as you quickly stood up and grabbed it from his hands.
“oh...well can you show me how to use it?” he asked as you placed it down on the table. your cheeks reddened at his words as you shook your head vigorously.
“can men use it too?” he asked as you sat down and started fanning your face. once again you shook your head again. he groaned in frustration causing you to look at him questioningly.
“how do i get rid of this?” he asked as he pointed downwards.
you tilted your head in confusion until you followed where his finger pointed. you eyes were met with a raging boner poking through his shorts.
you gasped before covering your mouth and looking away, you suddenly felt your stomach bubble with excitement.
no! stop it feelings, you're not fucking your wolf boy!
“It happens alot lately, especially when you wear those shorts, i don't know how to stop it!?” he stated nervously as he sat next to you
your heart sped up as a small pool of arousal found its way through its pants at his statement.
“mmm and that! that smell! where is it coming from?!” he said as he took in a big whiff, sniffing out the source. As his face came closer towards you stomach you quickly pushed him back and crossed your legs quickly.
he groaned slightly as he rested his head back against the couch.
“i do this sometimes” he whispered, as he closed his eyes and rubbed his crotch a moan escaped his lips.
your core got wetter by the second as you watched him closer.
“but it only works if i imagine you doing it” he added as another moan escaped his lips.”Why is that?” he asked as his eyes connected with yours.
you gulped before a whine of desperation escaped your lips
“can i try something? i saw it in a video once, and i want to try it” he stated as his eyes were noticeably darker and his voice had dropped an octave.
you knew if you tried to speak, English would not be the language to leave you mouth.
you knew you probably shouldn't and this would change your relationship but you really didn't care right now.
as soon as you nodded your head Chanyeol crashed his lips onto yours.
he pushed you backwards laying you down as your tongue pushed into your mouth.
His hands explored your body as they travelled underneath your shirt.
you moaned as he used his supernatural strength to rip off your shirt and bra off your body, getting annoyed with them blocking your body.
As he trailed harsh kisses down your neck, you tugged at his shirt while he fumbled with your zipper.
As his shirt hit the floor he sucked on your skin leaving love marks everywhere.
where the fuck did he learn this shit?
you continued to moan as the pool in your lower region grew.
chanyeol took another whiff and growled as he pressed his lower half into yours.
“can i taste you? please?” he pleaded as he breathed in your scent that you were radiating.
“please” you begged as he pulled down your pants.
“fuck you're so beautiful” he said as he lowered himself.
as he placed soft kisses on your inner thighs you whined desperately as your hand knotted in his hair.
As soon as his lips dove into your core, you gasped loudly as your back arched upwards.
chanyeol growled as his grip on your thighs tightened and he chased the taste of you even more.
you moaned relentlessly as he swirled around your clit, small growls and deep groans emitting from his throat as you moaned his name.
He sucked harshly on your clit causing your body to jerk and a cry of his name to escape your lips.
As you core dripped, chanyeols tongue was instantly licking it up causing him to moan from the taste.
“c-chanyeol i-i-i need you inside me, baby please” you begged as you lifted your head to see him rub himself intensely.
he needed this just as much as you did.
“you taste like heaven” he breathed as he pulled away from you, his lips were covered in you and his eyes were filled with lust.
He quickly pulled down his pants before giving his length a quick pump.
He positioned himself at you entrance as you prepared yourself.
As your eyes connected with his he pushed into you causing you to moan loudly as he stretched you out.
He moaned with relief before he started rocking his hips back and forth, pushing forth inside you with every rock.
You moaned in sync as you started seeing stars. He growled deeply before spreading you legs, he pushed himself deeper inside you, as he hit your G-spot you yelp in pleasure.
With insane sped he rocked back and forth hitting the same spot over and over. Your breath started to shorten as your heart beat sped up.
You were being electrocuted with pleasure as his hips slammed against yours.
His eyes were dark and focused as you arched you back with each rock. Your stomach started to knot as you clung onto his shoulders for dear life.
“mine” he repeated as he slammed himself into you faster.
“c-c-c-chanyeol, s-slow down” you stuttered as the pleasure was taking over your whole body, your core was sensitive and which each rock of chanyeols hips your body shook.
His head dipped down to trap your lips with his.
As his tongue explored your mouth again, you could feel yourself coming towards your finish.
“I think im going t-t-to cum” you said quickly as you dug your nails into his shoulders causing him to growl in pleasure.
As you rode through your high chanyeol joined you, spreading his warm cum through you.
You tried to catch your breath as he pulled out of you. He pulled you up wards so he could move his body underneath you and cuddle you on the couch.
“Where did you learn that?” you asked as your heart finally slowed down.
“Damon sent me links after I told him I was single” he laughed. You soon joined him in laughter as he played with you hand.
“even though im technically your servant…do you think we could do that again?” he asked
You giggled before nodding your head “well if im going to be stuck with you till the end of time, might as well have some fun” you shrugged as you snuggled further into him.
You would definitely be doing this again.
Maybe having a wolf boy isn’t such a bad thing after all.
You sit on the bottom step of EXO’s front porch, waiting for your boyfriend and Xiumin to get back from patrol. You dig your toe into the dirt, digging a little volcano and dirtying your new black Converse. An enemy pack threatened EXO and now you’re all stuck in the manor on lock down. To say you’re getting bored would be an understatement. Just as you finish your little dirt volcano a sound draws your attention to the woods in front of you. Your hand unconsciously reaches for the silver dagger tipped in wolfsbane at your hip, your body tensing as you do. A large black wolf jumps from the woods, a smaller brown wolf at his haunches.
Your body relaxes instantly, your hand leaving the dagger as the large black wolf saunters over to you, burying his muzzle in your neck. You giggle at the feeling of his wet nose against your warm skin and thread your fingers into the soft fur at the back of his neck. Chanyeol shifts back, his body shrinking from his hulking wolf form to his slightly less hulking, naked human form.
“My sweet mate!” he exclaims, pressing kisses to your neck, causing you to laugh and toss your head back.
He presses a final kiss to the middle of your neck then pulls back and smiles down at you. You stare up at him, resting your hands on his cheeks.
“I missed you,” you whisper, causing is brown eyes to shift gold for a second.
“I missed you too,” he whispers back, nuzzling his nose against yours.
“Your eyes did that thing again,” you say, pulling back and running your right thumb over his left eyebrow.
“Heat is getting closer, and my wolf is ready for me to mark you. He gets very... primal when you say things like that,” Chanyeol says, letting his eyes shift gold.
You stare deep into them, admiring the amber color.
“Why haven’t you?” you ask, causing Chanyeol’s face to screw up in confusion. “Marked me,” you clarify.
Chanyeol’s eyes shift back to brown and he smirks.
“Because when I mark you you won’t leave our bed for at least a week. That’s how long my wolf will have me keep you there. Marking you, fucking you, loving you. Plus, when I mark you, you’ll go through the change and I’m not ready for you to have to deal with that yet,” Chanyeol says, smoothing your hair away from your face.
“It’d change me?” you ask.
“Yeah. You’d go through the change after I was done fucking you into oblivion. Mating sex is some of the best so I hear, but it also takes about a week for your body to accept the change because in order to keep you from feeling it my wolf will keep you busy. When he senses that your finally ready, we’ll stop. On the next full moon I’ll take you out to the clearing and help you through your first shift. Suho-hyung did it with his mate and so did Baek. Still think you’re ready?” he asks, his voice thick with amusement at your bright red face.
You clear your throat, lift your chin and say, “I think I can handle you.”
Chanyeol laughs and buries his face in your neck again, his body shaking from laughter.
“I’ve no doubt you can, my little human,” he says.
You huff angrily at his laughter, a pout taking over your features. You push Chanyeol back, catching him off guard and causing him to fall backwards, his naked body smashing your tiny dirt volcano.
“Babe, I didn’t mean anything by it,” he says, scrambling to make you happy again.
You cross your arms and continue to pout. Chanyeol whimpers and lays his head in your lap.
“What can I do to make you smile again?” he asks, looking up at you.
You smile great big and say, “Take me to the clearing. I wanna do something! I’ve been locked up for days.”
Chanyeol jumps up and glares at you.
“Did you get ‘upset’ on purpose?” he asks.
“No...,” you say a little too innocently.
Chanyeol growls and lunges at you, causing you to fall back against the steps laughing. He holds your arms above your head and stares down at you.
“I’ll take you, but we have to play tag,” he reasons.
“Ugh!” you exclaim, “You don’t play fair!”
Chanyeol just laughs and shifts back into his wolf form. He lays down, his back facing you and waits. You huff, stand and make your way over to him. You straddle his back and dig your fingers into his fur. When he’s sure you’ve got a good hold, he takes off, running towards the clearing.
You get there in less than five minutes and Chanyeol lays down so you can slide off his back. When you’re on your own two feet he jumps up and play bows in front of you. You giggle and bend slightly like you would with a puppy. Chanyeol’s tail whips back and forth, causing the tall grass behind him to sway with every movement. You laugh and take off towards the center of the large clearing at top speed. Chanyeol waits a second, letting you get a few yards away before taking after you at a “human” speed. You get pretty far away before you look over your shoulder, your hair whipping around you. Chanyeol sees you look over your shoulder and speeds up his pace. You squeal at this and run faster, hoping to escape your beast. You look behind you again only to become confused at the absence of your boyfriend. When you look in front of you again there he is, right in front of you, sitting.
You dig your heels into the ground to stop yourself and turn around only to fall on your butt. Chanyeol’s lips pull back and his razor sharp teeth come into view. His tongue lolls out of his mouth and you know he’s laughing at you. He raises up on his haunches and falls onto his back, rolling in the grass.
“This isn’t funny!” you exclaim, tugging lightly on his tail.
He bends side ways so you can see his face while he lays on his back and huffs a breath out of his nose.
“I know you think it’s funny,” you say, tugging on his tail again.
He rolls over so he can stand and makes his way over to you. He nuzzles your neck again and lays down, resting his massive head and two front paws in your lap. He lifts his tail and waves it in your face, silently asking you to play with it. You giggle and oblige, wrapping your hand around his tail and tugging at it lightly. Your other hand rests between his ears, stroking the soft fur there before traveling to his right ear and rubbing it between your fingers.
Chanyeol begins to make a soft sound, almost like a purr before his eyes slide shut and his body starts to go limp. You smile down at him, continuing to play with his ear and stroke his back.
“Sleep, my mate. You deserve it,” you whisper before leaning down to press a kiss to his head between his ears.
You look up, admiring the beautiful sky, and the green grass and trees. A feeling of calm and happiness settles over you, and it’s almost as if the pack isn’t in danger. Like the enemy wasn’t planning to fight your boyfriend. You look back down at him and smile, knowing he’d destroy anyone who took him on, and your worries subsided even more.
The vast, dark room housed two men. It was an old fashioned library, with an old fashioned fireplace, in an old-fashioned house. Everything in the room, from the leather-bound first editions, to the thick velvet draperies, to the huge cherry wood desk, spoke of old money, tradition, and rules of cold iron. The elder of the men, silver-haired, broad and imposing, stood in front of the fireplace, staring stone-faced into the flames. The younger stood behind him, towering over his elder, though he didn’t have nearly as much muscle. He moved, standing beside the older gentleman, to contemplate the flames.
“Anything it takes?” he queried.
“Anything it takes.”
You ran for the ringing phone. Breathless. “‘Allo?”
“Well, hello!” laughed your mother. “I thought that you would never pick up the phone!”
You slipped into the comfortable Franglish that your family had spoken since your childhood. “Desole Maman, but I just came back from class. Midterms are fast approaching and I’ve been living at the library for the past few days.”
“C'est bien, Princesse. I knew that they were coming. As a matter of fact, you should have received a package from us.”
Giggling, “Oui! It came in the mail today and I was waiting until I got back home to open it.“
“No time like the present,” your mom said.
“Un moment,” You grabbed your keys, slitting the tape on the box. Gasping, you looked happily at the treasures inside. “Maman!”
“I know, I know. I hope that you like it.”
“Oh, Maman!” Your eyes roved over all of your best loved treats. Nutella, raspberry Pims, almond butter, Hob Nobs, Mint Milanos, cashew butter, and your mother’s cinnamon hot-chocolate mix, oatmeal-black walnut-currant biscuits, and homemade granola. Confusion crossed your face, as you dug further into the box. Under the first layer of delightful comestibles was a second layer of shortbread biscuits, tins of chamomile, earl grey, and peppermint tea, water crackers, and homemade cream scones. “Umm…”
“Ah, I see that you’ve reached the second layer. Isn’t that a lot of food for une petit etudiante?”
Suspicious. "Ouais… You know that I’ve never cared for anything in the second layer…“
"Curieuse. Do you know anyone who might enjoy them?”
“The only person that likes all these things is—Mom!”
“Quoi?” your mother innocently asked.
“Grandmaman.”
“What about her?”
“You want me to deliver these things to Grandmaman.”
“Alors,” your mother said, comfortably, “Don’t you love your grandmere?”
“You know that I do! It’s just that midterms are just around the corner and I have no extra time, and—”
“Elle est malade, bebe.”
“Oh. Is she—”
“She’ll be fine. It was pneumonia, but they caught it in time and you know that your Grandmaman is a tough old salt. She’s back at home, resting, but she’s still feeling under the weather. She would really enjoy a visit from her favourite grandchild.”
“I’m her only grandchild.”
“Thus making you all the more unique.”
“All right, all right! "Hyperbolic flattery will get you everywhere. I was going to go to the movies with friends this evening, but I can drop by her house, instead.”
“Tu es une bonne fille.”
“That’s why you love me.”
“Mmm.” Your mother chuckled. "Quelle heure est-il, la?”
You attended L'Universite d'Orleans, where you double-majored in ancient language and ancient civilizations. As the daughter of a French diplomat and an American international lawyer, you were extremely poised, and had decided early in life that you wanted to study in your father’s patrie. Your parents, on the other hand, were currently living in Seattle. “Five o'clock.”
“Well, then be quick about it. It’s probably getting dark, isn’t it?”
Elliptically, “It’s not too bad.”
“You know that I don’t like you alone in the woods after dark.” Your grandmere lived within walking distance of the school, but there was a wooded area that you had to cut through to arrive without taking a ridiculous amount of time.
“Maman, I’ll be fine,” you gently chided.
Your mother sighed. “It’s October. C'est frais, la. Wear that red cape that she gave you. That will cheer her.”
“I will,” you promised.
“Princesse—,” your mother started.
“Yes, ma'am?”
“Just…” A deep sigh.
“Qu'est ce que c'est? Quelle est la probleme?”
A short silence followed. Finally, your mother spoke. “You haven’t heard anything from your grandfather, have you?”
“No, ma'am. I haven’t seen him in years. Why do you ask? Has he called you?”
“Non, non. Pas de raison, Pretty. I haven’t heard from Father since the last time that you saw him. Just remember not to talk to any etrangers, d'accord?”
“Mom, I’m 21. You’ve been telling me that since I was 6. When will you think that it has finally stuck?”
“Je ne sais pas, Princesse,” your mother said, sadly. “Well, on with you. I’ll talk to you soon.”
“Je t'aime, Maman.”“I love you more, mon bebe.”
Standing within the shadows of a grove, a tall, rangy man boldly watched a particular open window with predatory concentration. He was dressed well, in a tailored grey wool three-piece suit, charcoal shirt, and silver silk tie. A thick tumble of shining black curls flopped charmingly and rather boyishly just above his chocolate eyes. His jaw was firm and there was a taut muscle ticking in his lean cheek. Suddenly he lifted his face in the air, closed his eyes, and leisurely sniffed. With a very slow, very white grin, he sauntered away from the dorms and melted into the shadows of the woods.
After a quick shower, you donned a full black lambs-wool skirt that went down to your ankles, white stockings, and your black, patent leather T-strap Mary Janes. A billowy, long-sleeved white shirt with a drawstring neck and tight cuffs, and black wool vest finished the ensemble. Your mother was right. The weather was chilling, especially at night, and besides, Grandmaman would be pleased to see you in the clothes that she had made and bought for your last birthday, although perhaps she might be slightly scandalized to know that you were wearing stockings instead of sensible sweater tights. You liked your stockings and garters, though. You found old-fashioned undergarments charming and you enjoyed wearing them far more than modern under things. On second thought, Grandmaman would probably approve. She was an artistic, feisty woman, with blackberry eyes and a quick, red smile. There were rumours that her family tree held the “Romani stain” and, given your Grandmaman’s clever wit, unsettling insight, and penchant for colourful baubles and rich fabrics, you could believe it.
You had put up your hair, so that it wouldn’t become wet in the shower, but now unpinned it, letting the curly, shining, coffee mass fall down your back, to your waist. Your silver eyes roved over your dresser until you located your red velvet ribbon, which you tied around your head, Alice-style, to hold back your thick curls. You put the treats for your grandmother in your wicker basket, and closed the lid. Donning the crimson velvet cape made for you on your 16th birthday by your doting grandmother, you picked up the basket, and swept out of the room.
You had been walking through the woods for a while, when the gloaming descended. Late-season fireflies floated around your head, and the changing leaves, along with a soft mist that was rising from the ground, made it seem as if you were walking into Fairyland. Looking behind, you saw the last brilliant rays of the sun, illuminating the nacreous clouds with deeply saturated shades of gold, pink, and carmine. Ahead was a full moon on the rise, sitting in a purplish-blue evening sky. You paused to enjoy a moment of solitude, contemplating the beauty of nature.
In the silence, you heard a twig snap. Stilling, you strained all your senses to ascertain just what was in the dark. Hearing nothing you began, once again, to walk, only to hear a rustle to your right. Your eyes swept the surrounding woods, but saw nothing. Peering into the deepening twilight, you listened once more, but the whisper of the wind blowing in the leaves was all that you heard. Just as you were about to continue on your way, you heard another rustle, and spun to see what was there. Nothing. Lifting your face, you scented the breeze. A spicy scent drifted teasingly past your nose, and then faded. Setting your jaw, you shook your head, thinking that it was probably a deer, or small mammal. It was just like you to let your imagination get the best of you. You had walked these woods countless times, and had been completely safe.
Suddenly, a wolf howl in the distance. You looked disbelievingly toward the sound. Another howl rent the night air, this one slightly closer. Putting down your head, you began to briskly trot along the path. In the distance, you could hear the sounds of leaves crunching underfoot as something came closer. You bit your lip and turned your head. In the darkness, you could see grey shapes far behind you, melting from shadow to shadow, and gaining. With a gasp, you began to jog. The sounds of pursuit suddenly crashed into your ears, as you hitched up your skirts and ran. How many were there? You had counted at least three, but there could be more. As you ran, you clutched the basket to your chest, as if the love that your mother had put into it could keep you safe. Soon, you began to develop a stitch. You were still a good mile away from Grandmaman’s house and tiring fast. Sparing a glance behind, you found three large wolves loping silently behind you on the path. You couldn’t help it; you screamed. Turning your head, you saw a huge wolf leap in front of you. Reflexively, you swung the basket and slapped the wolf across the face so hard that it fell sideways, blocking the path.
You ran off the path, leaping over fallen trees and jumping small streams. You could hear the wolves gaining, and you heard the snap of teeth as one of them grabbed for the hem of your cape. Looking back to see if they had caught up to her, you ran into a wall. Terrified, you spun around only to discover that the wall was, in fact, a very tall man, looking down at you with amusement in his eyes. “Help me!” you cried, “Wolves!”
“Wolves?” he queried softly.
“Yes!” you sobbed, trying to pull him and run.
“Where are these wolves?” He gently asked.
“We have to run! They’re right behind me!”
“There’s nothing behind you, child.”
You spun only to discover that he was right. The wolves that had been pursuing you had vanished as mysteriously as they had appeared. “But, there were wolves,” you said, incredulously. “Three of them. I don’t understand.”
“Shhh. It’s dark. It’s cold and you were alone in the woods. That’s enough to frighten anyone into thinking that they see something menacing.”
“I wasn’t hallucinating!” you exclaimed, insulted. “I know what I saw! I’m not child; I’m not telling some fairy tale!”
“Alright,” he said, pacifyingly. “In any case, they’re gone for the moment. Which leads me to the question…what’s a little girl like you doing in a wild wood like this?”
You blinked slowly up at him, realizing that you were still clutching yourself to his body. He had his arms around her waist and she could feel the tensile strength running through them and, considering the fact that you were pressed so closely to it, through the rest of his sinewy body under his perfectly tailored grey suit. You let go of him, and he immediately dropped his arms while you backed up to a comfortable distance. “I’m not a little girl,” you challenged.
“Mmm, no, I guess you aren’t,” he said, his eyes raking in your appearance from head to foot. He grinned. “You’re obviously a very big girl.”
“I’m not a girl at all—I’m 21 years old.”
A light seemed to shine from the depths of his brown eyes. “Ah, 21? Not a child, then, but a woman grown.” He leaned casually against the trunk of a tree and put his hands in his pockets.
You narrowed your eyes and raked them over him as thoroughly as he had you. He was tall, about 6'1”, and though his clothes were elegant and finely made, his hair looked as if it needed a good combing and haircut. His thick, straight, dark brows perched above large, fine dark chocolate eyes, the shade of hot cocoa in the winter, and framed by thick, almost feminine, coffee-coloured lashes. A wide, mobile mouth contrasted sharply with the arrogant cant of his head. You found his face a disturbing study in contrasts, the gentle coral mouth and warm eyes surrounded by hard, masculine planes, and topped with almost impertinent floppy waves. His body, on the other hand, was nothing but male. Not only was he tall, but the suit did little to hide a sleekly muscled frame. Wide shoulders, flat chest and stomach, narrow hips and long, long legs led you to believe that, despite the fineness of his suit, this man was no stranger to physicality. His lazy stance against the tree was belied by an underlying hum of muscles prepared for anything, like a wolf crouched for a leap.
“Enjoying the view, Lady?” he caressingly asked.
Blushing, you straightened and speared him with a haughty look. He continued to smile insouciantly, then straightening, he stalked over. Your first instinct was to retreat, but you stiffened your spine, and holding your ground.
Smiling, he said, “I’ll tell you what. Why don’t you let me walk you to your destination? It has been a while since I had the opportunity to escort a pretty young lady anywhere, and you would do me an honour to agree.”
Tilting your head, you looked up at him suspiciously. Though it would be a good idea to have him walk with you to your grandmother’s house, there was something about him that you found unsettling. He leaned over you, resting an arm on a branch above your head. Your nostrils flared as you caught that same spicy scent that you had smelled before the wolves. Primly, “No. Thank you. I don’t have much farther to go; I’m sure that I’ll be fine.
“Oh? What about the wolves?”
“You were probably right. It was just my overactive imagination playing tricks on me.”
He grinned. His teeth were very white in the darkness. Very white, very large, and very sharp. You felt your heart rate accelerate. You flushed hotly and saw his pupils dilate. Licking his lips, he said, “Still, there may be others out to catch a pretty young thing in the woods. ”
You watched his nostrils flare slightly as he leaned toward you, and you were embarrassed to feel your nipples stiffening against the fabric of your shirt. “I…um, I…”
“Yes?”
“I don’t even…” casting wildly for an excuse, “I don’t even know your name, sir.”
Straightening, he tilted his head and fixed you with a wry smile. Holding out his hand, he waited until you had placed yours in his much larger one. “Park Chanyeol.” He took your hand and, instead of shaking it, bowed and brought it to his lips, placing a soft kiss on the inside of your wrist. You felt a sharp jolt in your belly, and an insistent heat beginning to glow in places further south. Looking up, he softly queried, “What’s yours?”
You gave it breathlessly.
He reached out and toyed with one of your curls. “Dark one,” he said, quietly.
“Strong tree,” she countered.
His eyebrows snapped upward in surprise, before he masked it with a polite expression. "Well,“ he said, "now that we know one another’s names, we are no longer strangers, and you will let me accompany you.”
You usually had a quick tongue, but around this arrogant, distracting man, you found yourself as tongue tied as the school girl you proclaimed not to be. Still, despite his good looks, everything in you was screaming that he was the devil in a Sunday suit. You shook your head. “No. It’s not that far. I can make it alone.” He frowned at you, then straightened and elegantly shrugged.
“It is your decision.” Smiling charmingly, he added, “If you need me, just…scream my name.”
You backed away, your eyes holding his. Holding your hand to your chest, she put one foot behind the other, and his smiled widened. Suddenly, your foot caught in a small depression in the ground. You threw out your arms to catch yourself, but struck your head against one of the fallen trees. The last thing that you saw was Lucas striding toward you, and picking you up as if you weighed nothing. Then, the world went fluttery and finally, dark.
Eiric Blanchard burst through the double doors of the library. “Where is she?” she roared. Her husband strode along behind her, his face black as a thundercloud. Behind his desk, Duncan MacTavish looked over his papers at the intruders.
The woman who had so rudely burst into his home was dressed in a black wool pantsuit and low-heeled leather boots. Her curly black hair, which he knew was usually kept in a bun, fairly crackled around her head and down her back. Her normally cinnamon skin was flushed an ugly scarlet and the pupils in her silver eyes had contracted to pinpoints. She seems annoyed, he thought. Mildly raising an eyebrow, he dismissively looked back down at his reports.
Distractedly, he asked, “How may I help you today, Eiric? Striding over to him, she ripped the papers from his hand.
"Where is my daughter?” Eiric leaned over his desk and into his face.
Her deceptively mild-mannered-looking husband, Julien Blanchard, crossed his arms and stood in front of the double doors, glowering. He had thick brown hair graying at the temples and large chocolate brown eyes hidden behind tortoise-shell glasses. He sported a neatly clipped beard and moustache, and his pale skin looked as if it hadn’t seen the sun in months. While not at work, he dressed in the manner of a distracted academic—lots of tweed, wool, and corduroy, usually in neutral and earth-toned colours. Today, he was wearing chocolate cords, a russet button-down with a chocolate silk tie, an argyle sweater-vest and a tawny-grey tweed jacket. Duncan looked at him dismissively, and then leaned back in his chair. “Safe.”
“Safe?!” Eiric growled, throwing his papers to the ground. “I know your definition of safe!”
“No permanent harm will come to her.” Duncan said, calmly. Eiric scoffed.
“I’m interested in no harm coming to her at all! I realize that you don’t know what this really means, but she’s my daughter. I want her to make her own decisions—” Duncan cut over her.
“Then why haven’t you told her everything?” Eiric set her jaw.
“She’s not ready. She’s only 21 years old!”
“I was 16. I—” This time, it was Eiric who cut over the older man.
“Yes! We all know! Laird Duncan MacTavish was merely 16 when he ascended, viciously taking back his ancestral lands, a veritable wunderkind of blood and domination, and blah, blah, blah! I don’t care! She’s different. Her whole life, she has been raised normally. She thinks that she’s normal—what do you think it’s going to do to her to spring it on her like this?”
“She’ll take it. She’s a MacTavish. She was bred to—”
Eiric slammed her hand on the desk and said coldly, “She’s my child. Not a bloody thoroughbred or bitch.” Duncan quickly rose and came around his desk. Julien started toward them.
Without deigning to look at him, Duncan sneered, “Stay in your place, hedge-witch.”
Ignoring him, Julien looked at Eiric. She shook her head. Nodding slowly, he once more took up his station in front of the doors.
Quietly, each word accented with his native French, Julien said, “Listen, old man; if my daughter is hurt, I will kill you. Promise.”
“Well, well, well,” Duncan said, “The hedge-witch has grown teeth.”
“He’s always had ‘teeth’. You were just too full of your own importance to notice them, and I promise if you move another step, there will be nothing left of you but ash.” This last part was directed to a shadow flickering in the corner behind her. Duncan nodded and the shadow materialized as a stocky, muscular young man.
“You haven’t forgotten the ways.” Duncan said, approvingly. To the young man, he said, “Leave.” The man obediently walked over to the doors, but Julien didn’t move. Trying to push past him, the man found that Julien was immovable. Looking up to say something rude, the man quickly thought better of it, sidled around Julien and squeezed through the door. When he was gone, Duncan started to speak again, but Eiric spoke over him, saying,
“Look. I don’t care about your games and visions. The bottom line is I want my daughter, I want her now, and I am ready, willing and eminently able to burn you from the inside out if you don’t tell me where she is.” Duncan started toward her. She moved to meet him. As they were roughly the same height, they were directly face to face. The papers on his desk began to blacken and curl.
“Eiric,” he said gently, “I don’t know where she is. Do you think that I didn’t realize that you would come to me like this?”
She stared stonily at him, the irises of her silver eyes slowly turning to gold. “You’re a liar.”
“Sometimes,” he admitted, mildly. “However, this time, I’m telling the truth. You know that I am.” A wavering heat halo began to dance around her body.
“You don’t know where she is?” she whispered. Then, thunderously, “You know exactly how we ascend and you don’t know where she is?!” The temperature in the room began to rise.
“I’ve sent one of my very best men to do the job. He’s going to take the right-hand path—” Duncan’s voice was cut off as Eiric pushed her hand against his chest. His body went flying across the room. Eiric’s handprint smouldered through his clothing, exposing the hard planes of his chest.
“That was not your decision!” Eiric strode toward him. Placing her hands on either side of his head, she gritted, “And what if he can’t 'get the job done’ through the right-hand path? Does he have your permission to take the left?” Sweat poured down Duncan’s face, but he made no move to defend himself.
“No.” His skin began to redden. He looked into her eyes. “Believe what you will, but I didn’t authorize that. I promise, I never would have authorized that.” He placed a hand against one of hers. At first she didn’t move. Then she let go of him and stood up so quickly that his head thumped back against the wall. She turned around and began striding toward the door. Julien moved to open it for her, but before she could stride though, Duncan called out. “I didn’t know. I swear. I never would have let that happen to you—had I known, I—” he shook his head. “Everything that I’ve done, I’ve done for you, for your daughter. I love you, Eiric!” She turned her head slightly. Her voice quavered with unshed tears as she said,
“I love you too. But if anything happens to hurt or scare my child, I’ll burn you dead, Daddy.”
A/N: This is chapter 4 of an in progress fic, the links for which can be found on my mistresslist.
You opened your eyes, and panicked when you didn’t recognize where you were. After a moment however, all that had happened the previous evening flooded your memory. Throwing back the covers, you looked around the room. Padding gently to the door, you tried the knob. It was open. Okay, another tick in the “not a serial killer” box.
Moving back into the room, you noticed an armoire. Inside were several pairs of jeans, some skirts, plain white cotton panties, dresses, stockings, socks, and various tops, all in natural fabrics. All of it was in your size, and most of it was to your taste. Hm. Half a check in the “possible serial killer box”. Shrugging, you pulled out a low V-necked, emerald wool sweater, a burgundy button-down with French cuffs, and a pair of low-rise, boot-cut jeans. You searched the rest of the drawers and the room’s three dressers, but couldn’t find any bras. You could wear your corset again, but you had done quite of bit of running in it, and you wanted it washed before you put it back on your skin. Ah well. You would just go braless; Chanyeol probably wouldn’t even notice.
As you were about to leave the room, you noticed another door. Crossing your fingers in the hope that it led to a closet, you found instead, a private bathroom. A porcelain claw foot tub dominated the room, which also boasted a bidet, and a corner dedicated to a shower. Looking longingly at the tub, you walked to the shower and turned on the water. Three shower heads came on, all centred in the middle of the stall. Hm. Maybe this wouldn’t be so bad. You rummaged in the closet for soap and a washcloth while waiting for the water to warm. Expecting something like Dial, or perhaps Caress if you were lucky, you instead found triple-milled soaps and whipped soaps, thick bath and shower gels, pure essential oils, bath bombs and bubble bars, sugar scrubs, body butters, and clear glass jars of bath salts. You even found various oils, and expensive conditioners for your hair. Tearing up a bit at your bounty, you entertained the thought that maybe this forced exile would be less “not so bad” and more ‘mini-vacation’.
After taking your shower (40 minutes without running out of hot water!), you found various dental implements and freshened up, so as not to fry your host with your dragon breath. You checked your face in the mirror, and grimaced to find a veritable rainbow that ran from the middle of your forehead, and around your right temple to rest on your cheekbone. You opened the bathroom cabinet to discover cotton pads, alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, bandages, and more witch hazel and tea tree oil. You gingerly dabbed the livid bruising with witch hazel, cleaned the small wound, and applied some oil. Fortunately, the wound had already closed enough to no longer require butterfly bandages.
Leaving the bathroom, you picked up a comb from the dresser and began the long, arduous process of combing your thick hair. Fifteen minutes (and two very tired arms) later, you braided it into pigtails and tied some red ribbons around the ends that you had found in the dresser.
Emerging from your room in a warm cloud of honeysuckle you stood still, closed your eyes, and listened. You heard a rhythmic noise coming from another part of the house, so you followed it. As you grew closer, you realized that it was the sound of someone running on a treadmill. Entering the room, you saw Chanyeol’s back as he ran—flat out ran–with an even, measured tread. He was wearing nothing but gym shorts and footwear–and for that, you were immensely grateful. You looked admiringly at the physique that his clothes had only hinted lay beneath their confines. He had brawny forearms and his hairless back was strong, with well-defined muscles sleekly rippling under his skin.
Slowing down, he jogged for a while, then stopped the machine and dismounted. As he turned, he noticed you and grinned, removing ear-buds from his ears. His chest and abs were heaving like a bellows, doing interesting things to his musculature. “How long have you been standing there?”
She blushed. “Not long. How far do you run?”
“Eleven miles, every day.”
You tried not to, but you couldn’t help but notice just how precariously his shorts clung to his hips. You could almost just make out the line where his happy trail ended and the real fun began. “That’s pretty intense,” you murmured.
He leaned against the treadmill. “I’m a pretty intense sort.”
Looking up at him, you felt your lip and chin wobble, so you bit them. After valiantly fighting for a few moments, you burst out laughing at the same time that he did.
“That was rather cheesy, wasn’t it?” he said, ruefully shaking his head.
“It’s alright. I’ll allow it,” you responded.
“A beneficent beauty. What kind of creature have I allowed into my home?”
Chuckling nervously, you said, “Oh, stop, or I’ll have to lock up your tongue with the rest of the silver.”
Winking at you, Chanyeol started to saunter by, then turned to examine your face. Taking you gently by the chin, he looked at your face, gave a satisfied nod, and said, “That’s healing well. You did a good job tending to it.”
“Well, I may not be a medic, but I do have some paltry skills,” you riposted.
Chanyeol laughed, and started walking backwards, saying, “I’m going to go take a shower. You can have whatever you can find for breakfast.”
“Oh, you’ve already eaten?”
“No, but I figured that you’re hungry, now.”
“I’ll wait for you,” you said, shyly.
Pausing, he gave you an intensely approving look. “Give me a half hour.”
***
After Chanyeol completed his ablutions, he dressed in black jeans and an oversized black, cable knit cashmere sweater, over a black button-down. Meeting you in the kitchen, he asked. “Have you done any exploring?”
“A bit,” you admitted. “Mostly around your amazing kitchen and pantry, though. You have enough food to feed an army!”
“I like to eat and I like to eat well.”
“Well, I like to cook. Since I’m imposing on your hospitality and, since you don’t cook, why don’t I do it for you while we’re here?”
“You want to cook for me?” he asked, slanting a look at you.
Shrugging, you said, “We have to eat. I can cook. It’s only logical.”
“Seeing as how I was going to make us a couple of nice, big bowls of cereal for breakfast, your way is probably better.”
“Speaking of which,” you paused nervously, but then forged ahead, “You’re a bachelor, yet you have a fully appointed kitchen full of herbs and spices, and your guest room is full of women’s clothes. I’m a little confused.”
“Well, I have a fully appointed kitchen because that’s how I bought it, appliances and all, and I have herbs and spices, and a room full of women’s clothing because I have sisters who like to visit often.”
“Oh,” you whispered quietly, drawing imaginary circles on the green marble counter-top with your finger.
He sighed deeply. “I’m not a serial killer, you know. I’m not going to, I don’t know, rape you, salt you, and put you in my freezer for hard times.” You nodded. “Now, if that’s settled, make me something delicious, or I just may be tempted to eat you all up.”
She grinned. “How do you feel about an omelet and some baked oatmeal?”
“Less chattery, more cookery.”
You laughed and began to prepare breakfast. First, you prepared the oatmeal with raisins, honey, bananas, and cinnamon. Then you put in into a loaf pan and popped it into the oven. When that had almost finished baking, you fried some bacon, set it aside then, in the same pan, you cracked eggs, along with fresh chives, mushrooms, and the cooked bacon. While that cooked, you warmed some cream with vanilla bean, and a shot of whiskey. You grated fontina on the omelet, and folded it over. After plating the omelets, you took out the baked oatmeal, scooped some into bowls and poured the warm vanilla cream over the top.
After having set the table, Chanyeol watched you in awe, occasionally asking questions about why you were doing something. After you sat down, he inhaled deeply. “Woman, I may just have to kidnap you.”
“Save your criminal debut until you taste it. It may not be as good as it looks or smells.”
He took a bite, and his face stilled. Looking at you, he said, “You’re right,” Your face fell. “It is so much better.”
Giving him a face and a shoulder punch, you thanked him. It always gave you a thrill when someone enjoyed your cooking, and it didn’t hurt that it was currently being enjoyed by the type of guy who gave you wet dreams. You ate in companionable silence and when you were done, Chanyeol washed the dishes. While he was doing that, you made a mirepoix and put it, as well as a trimmed leg of mutton studded with garlic cloves, a bouquet garni of rosemary, bay and sage, and an entire bottle of merlot, into his crock-pot to braise for your dinner.
“Come on, he said. I’ll give you the tour.” Leading you from room to room, he bypassed all of the places that he knew you had seen, to show you the rest of his one story. It didn’t take long, as it wasn’t that big. The rest of the tour just consisted of his bedroom and bathroom, another bathroom off the living room, a breakfast nook, and a room that captured your heart. A library. He watched indulgently as you flitted from shelf to shelf, pressing your clasped hands to your chest and fawning over his collections of first editions, modern nonfiction, and literature in Korean, Japanese, English, French, Gaelic, and Mandarin.
“Do you speak all of these languages?”
He nodded. “I’m something of a polyglot,” he said, carelessly.
You tilted your head. “I, also. I speak French, of course, English, Hebrew, Latin, and I’m learning Arabic.” You grinned, and then said, “Say something in…Gaelic!”
Reaching out to tug one of your braids, he said, "Tá tú go h-álainn.”
You giggled. “What does that mean?”
He shrugged. “It means, 'You’re beautiful’.”
You smiled, shyly. Quickly leaning forward, you kissed him on the cheek, and then flitted to the other side of the library.
Unbeknownst to you, he had noticed that you weren’t wearing a bra when you first found him on the treadmill, and now that you were no longer paying attention to him, he hungrily watched your breasts bounce as you practically skipped around his library with a look of pure bliss on your face. The motion of your breasts against the fabric of your shirt caused your nipples to harden until they were prominent enough to make him want to pant. He steeled himself, and smiled, when you came over to him, holding out a few books.
“May I read them? Please?”
“You can read anything here that you want,” he said, magnanimously.
“What are you going to do?”
He blew a rueful breath. “Well, not work, what with the downed Internet. I guess that I’ll read, as well. You both took your chosen books, and moved to the living room. Sinking into the couch, you read for a few hours.
After some time, the two of you returned to the kitchen for a lunch of seared tuna, freshly baked beer bread, and wilted spinach salad. While you ate, you discussed the books that you were reading, which led to a discussion regarding your favourite authors. After lunch, Chanyeol put a hand to his belly, and groaned. "You’ve impregnated me with your food baby.”
You laughed, delightedly. “Mmm, yes, bear my seed!” After he finished the washing up, and you put beans to soak so that they would be ready, if needed, for an upcoming meal, you retired back to the living room to read.
After a while however, Chanyeol noticed your head drifting toward the back of the couch. He gently maneuvered you both until he was half reclining against the arm of the sofa, and you were lying against his chest. He watched you sleep until his eyelids, too, began to fall. Soon, you were both napping peacefully.
***
You awoke a few hours later, lying on top of Chanyeol, your arms wrapped around his neck, and your face buried in the crook of his shoulder. You felt slightly awkward, but not as bad as you usually would have, given the circumstances. Scrambling off of him, while trying to seem unhurried, you said, “Time to start dinner.” He just gave you a slow, sleepy, seductive smile, and followed you back into the kitchen, where you made baked sweet potatoes with Dubliner cheese, sour cream and garlic chives, and roasted cauliflower to go along with the braised mutton. After plating and sitting down, you asked, “May I use your exercise room? As you can see, my metabolism isn’t that good and if we keep eating like this, I won’t be able to fit into any clothes.”
Chanyeol stopped eating, leaned back, and leisurely perused your body. While it was true that you weren’t fashionably thin, he found you to be delectable. He swallowed hard as he imagined your soft thighs wrapped around his hips, or, even better, pressed against the fronts of his thighs. “The issue of you not wearing any clothes doesn’t seem that bad,” he said. “However, perhaps I didn’t make myself clear earlier. My home, as well everything,” here he smiled, “and everyone in it, are available for your use and pleasure.”
You, ducked your head to hide the flushing of your face.
“Duly noted,” you said, biting your lower lip to keep from smiling outright.
“What are you doing?” he queried.
“I have a tendency to smile when I’m nervous, so I bite my lip to keep from grinning like an idiot during inappropriate situations,” you said, shyly.
A slow, lopsided grin melted across his face. “I like watching you smile.”
You looked away, smiling as you toyed with one of your braids. “Like that,” he rumbled, “See, that’s beautiful.” He waited until you met his eyes, then smiled outright and tucked back into his food. After you had been eating for a while, he said, “I’m going to have to shovel a path to the shed, so that I can split more wood for the fireplace. I usually stock it in the lean-to, but I didn’t know that we were going to get this freak snowstorm.” Since the previous evening, it had been snowing on and off and you had gone from being half buried in snow to only being able to see over the top third of the window.
“May I help?” you asked.
“That’s not necessary,” he said. “I need the exercise.”
You stared at him. “You run eleven miles a day.”
“I know, but lately I seem to find myself with extraneous energy,” he drawled.
You cocked your head, impertinently. “What if I find myself with extraneous energy?”
His eyes locked onto yours. “Then, I have some excellent suggestions on how we might burn through it.” You held his eyes for a moment, and then dropped yours to your food. He chuckled and said, “I’ll start shoveling tomorrow morning, after my run.”
“All right,” you conceded. “I’ll join you in the morning for exercise, if you don’t mind, and then I’ll make breakfast while you shovel.”
He nodded. “That sounds like a plan.” You both finished your food, and you moved to clear the dishes, but Chanyeol stopped you, saying, “No, Lady. You cook, I clean, alright?”
You leaned against the table and said, “A girl could become accustomed to that.”
“A guy could become accustomed to three star meals every day,” he countered. Watching him wash the dishes, you asked him if he wanted something sweet the next day. Looking you up and down he said, “Why, are you offering?”
“You’re incorrigible!” you teased.
“I’m a lot of things,” he agreed, evenly. “I could give a demonstration, if you like.”
Shaking your head in mock dismay, you enunciated, “What sweet thing would you like to eat tomorrow?”
“My question stands.”
You threw up your hands in simulated defeat. “I’m just going to make a cake.”
“I could go for cheesecake,” he said.
She nodded. “I can make that. Would you like it with strawberries?”
“I’m far more interested in one with a cherry.”
He said it so meaningfully that you paused before you answered. Then your face flamed. “That,” you said, tartly, “is not on the menu.”
He sighed deeply. “Well,” he said with noble long-suffering, “then I suppose that I could go for regular cake.”
She crossed your arms. “You had better be glad that I like you—”
“Ah, you do like me? I won’t have to write a note that includes 'check yes or no’?”
You tried to frown, but gave up, threw back your head, and laughed. After the dishes were finished, you moved back to the living room. Chanyeol put on some soft Liszt, and you sat and chatted for the rest of the evening. After a while, your eyes started to grow heavy, and Chanyeol looked at his watch.
“It’s gone midnight. Time for all good little girls to be in bed.” You nodded. “Would you like me to tuck you in?” he queried. You cocked your head and blinked sleepily. Before you could answer, he said, “Too late,” scooped you into his arms, and carried you to the guest room.
Standing you in front of the bed, he knelt in front of you, opened your jeans and peeled them down your legs. As you lifted each leg to step out of them, he turned his head and gave the side of your knee a brief kiss. The bristly sensation of his stubble against your delicate skin made you feel languorous and heavy. You sat back down, and he pulled your sweater over your head. He licked his lips and reached for your top button, but you stopped him.
She shook your head. “I’m not…I mean, I didn’t have—I couldn’t find—”
“It’s alright,” he whispered. He turned around and listened to the rustle of you divesting yourself of your shirt. When he turned back, you were lying down, with the sheet pulled over your chest. He pulled the rest of the blankets up to your chin, then leaned over and kissed you just on the corner of your mouth. His eyes glittered as he stepped back and surveyed you. Swallowing hard, he wished you a good night, then turned and walked decisively from the room.
You snuggled further under the covers, enjoying the feel of the warm flannel against your bare skin. You curled up to go to sleep, but something just wasn’t right. After a while, you took a few of the pillows and tucked them behind your body, almost as if someone else were there. Curling up against the pillows, you fell asleep to the rhythmic sound of shoes hitting the treadmill.
***
Eiric exited the plane, with Julien close behind. A mere day had passed since Aurelie Blanchard called her son and his wife to let them know that her granddaughter had never made it to her house. Sighting the driver with their names emblazoned on his placard, they whispered intensely as they neared the town car. After entering, Julien turned toward his wife and said, “Maman has been consulting the cards since the night that she disappeared. Something is blocking her though, so she’s hoping that tapping into your power will help her break through the barrier.” Eiric just shook her head, looking miserable. Julien clasped her hand, and brought it to his mouth. “We’ll find her, Cherie.” He pulled her to himself, laid her head against his breast, and wrapped his arms around her. “I know it. We’ll find notre bebe.”
