you felt his arms wrap tighter around your waist, as his soft cheek came in contact with yours. you took a deep breath of air in through your nostrils, as your body and mind slowly retreated back from the dream state they were previously in. you slowly opened your eyes, lashes fluttering as your eyelids opened, and you came face to face with the love of your life. there he was, in pure perfect form. his hair disheveled, face and eyes swollen from his sleep, cheeks puffed up, but nevertheless, perfection for you. his face came closer to your side, and you felt his mouth near the shell of your ear. a soft blow of air touched your ear as your lover whispered into the chilly, sunday morning, “i want my baby to have your eyes.”

Warning: Language, public groping, fingering, handjob(it’s not too graphic, but I mean try to proceed with caution)
Transferring schools was never a pleasant experience. It was exhausting, gathering up your possessions and toting them to whatever house your parents had rented for the time being, and the process of moving countries was awful. Once upon a time you might have started trying to send your belongings to you after you were in the country, but from past experience you knew it was a bad idea. You were never going to forget that shitfest in Germany. Still, you were a bit hopeful about this school, despite all your past experiences pointing towards disaster. The reason was simply your age. Now that you were considered an adult you could strike out on your own now in the city and basically do what you wanted.
Now, you and your parents had a strange relationship, but it worked for your purposes. Your parents had always wanted to travel the world for work and pleasure. Your mom worked in art consulting, and your dad was an English teacher. Because of their jobs you saw your mom for a few months and then spent two or three weeks with her buried in her work, usually at an office sending you pictures of her work. Your dad had mostly taught in European countries and he decided to spread his wings and go to countries farther east.
Originally they didn’t want kids, but one drunk night of passion(your dad’s words) and you were conceived. Your parents had worried for the whole pregnancy that they wouldn’t love you enough to raise you, but as it turns out, the sight of your smushed and still damp face and your parents had fallen in love. Not enough to quit their demanding jobs but enough to raise you lovingly.
Despite the less than flattering story of your conception, you loved them and they loved you and they let you live you life as long as no one was getting high, drunk, or dead.
“Dad, where is my camera?” you asked, going through the boxes. The movers had gotten everything in, but you couldn’t remember which box your mom said she put it in. Your dad paused in setting up the furniture before sighing.
“You know what kiddo? I have no clue. But I think if I was your dear mother I’d put it in the box labelled ‘things that shouldn’t be dropped carelessly’. Saw it in the entryway.” he nodded. You sighed and stood up stretching out your back and continuing the search.
After two minutes of carefully getting out the cookie jar(a relic from your great grandmother) and your mom’s favorite gravy bowl you spotted your camera in it’s case. You picked it up immediately and went to your room. You’d taken some nice photos on it from the last place you’d been and you were ready to back them up on your laptop.
Before you could though, your mom came in your room with a bright smile and her favorite shirt.
“Let’s look around the neighborhood!”
So that’s how you found yourself at the nearest park, grinning at you took pictures of the sky from the swing. Your shots were all just a little blurry but you decided that that was fine. There was something to be said about mistakes. You family kept walking around though and you took note of the small convenience store and all the landmarks that would help in case you got lost.
You’d been walking so long you were actually pretty close to the school, if all the kids coming from the opposite direction meant anything. They noticed your family and very obviously started talking about you and you sighed.
“I hope you’ve been brushing up on your Korean,” you dad said with a bright grin. You sighed deeply, but nodded. You’d tried that schtick before and ended up suffering for the entire time you’d been in Italy. No need to keep suffering.
Your dad nodded and your mom paused as she got a phone call. Her cheery nature melted away and she answered the phone like a true professional. She spoke in broken Korean, aided by your dad who was tentatively giving her direction when she faltered on the pronunciation.
“I’m gonna keep walking around. I’ll call if I get lost,” you told your dad. He furrowed his brow, but nodded anyway. You handed off your camera, not wanting to tote it around a neighborhood you didn’t know.
You walked for an hour, taking turns when you saw something even remotely interesting. You spotted a few girls smoking outside a shop and they startled when they saw you, but they relaxed once they realized you didn’t care.
“Hey ladies,” you called hoping that you’d said that right. They nodded at you and kept smoking and you carried on. By the time it was starting to get dark you decided to go back home. Your feet hurt and you hadn’t made sense of the neighborhood at all despite your best efforts. Still it was nice to stretch your legs after the long flight. You weren’t going to even try to sleep since you were probably all jet lagged but when you got home your parents were in the living room, still unpacking.
You helped immediately feeling a bit guilty. You dad was singing obnoxiously to Etta James and your mom twirled around the living room, placing the knicknacks anywhere and everywhere.
Soon enough you were done and your parents slipped off to bed and like they did every time, they promised not to give you a sibling.
You rolled your eyes, despite the snort that escaped and got to your laptop and connected your camera finally. You pulled up the pictures and sighed happily.
All pictures of your favorite hands. Hands of some of your girl friends and guy friends and a few from strangers you’d approached nicely.
You didn’t know when you realized your love for hands, but somewhere along the way you started to obsess over them just a bit. Soft, smooth hands with delicate nails or calloused veiny hands it didn’t matter. As long as they were clean you loved them. You had favorites of course but maybe you’d have new favorites by the time you left.
School was gunning for one of the most boring days of your life. The teachers were like so many other teachers you’d meant and your classmates were extremely polite, but they seemed a bit cold to you. You began people watching by your second class and noticed a girl crying in the row across from you. You reached out and tapped her shoulder.
“You okay?” you asked her. She stared at you and you huffed saying the words slower.
“Are you okay?” you repeated. She nodded and began to wipe her face and turned away, probably so she could wallow in her own misery. You wanted to press the issue but you didn’t know her and you didn’t want to offend anyone’s sensibilities. Later, when you were going to the cafeteria to eat you saw the same girl talking to a group of girls in the hall. They were talking quietly to her, and she sniffled gently as she talked about someone. You didn’t get specifics but you got the gist of what she was saying. Something about dating a boy only for him to break it off when it got too serious. You sighed in sympathy and carried on to get something to eat.
You couldn’t do anything because you didn’t know her and honestly it wasn’t your business, but people crying made you unhappy. Your dad had called you a bleeding heart on multiple occasions but you felt it was a compliment.
The rest of the day was boring, with only a few classmates talking to you throughout the day, though all of them are friendly. At the end though, you stick around in the library to study on some of what was covered in math. You should study the language, but you doubt they’d have basic Korean in there. But, when you’re immersed in formulas and practice problems, wet smacking is heard and a few moans. You aren’t the only one in here, not by a long shot but you had chose a lone table in the far back corner. Still the noise only picks up in intensity and you snarl, annoyed, disgusted, and more importantly annoyed. After the longest twenty minutes the noises slip off and a girl is talking breathlessly to someone else--a boy who stole the vocals chords of a bear from the sound--and eventually you hear footsteps a few aisles over.
You’re alone for about a minute before a boy comes out. He’s clearly your age and he’s tall. Like, taller than you can forgive him for seeing as how his pelvis is in your face.
“Excuse me, get your crotch out of my face,” you scoff, leaning back. He smirked and shrugged his somewhat broad shoulders.
“It’s probably the nicest crotch to be in your face,” he said offhandedly. You push him away and he tilts his head.
“You’re new.” you wonder how small this school must be for him to know you’re new, but maybe you’ve just got that look.
“And you’re stating the obvious,” you shoot back. He sat down bodily and rested his face on his hand and you glance at his hands and pause.
Goddamit.
He noticed your lapse, but didn’t seem bothered.
“Oh so you’re mad at me for interrupting your study time?”
“You guys were loud. And gross. Too much sloshing,” you insisted, going back to your problem. He snorted at your criticism and leaned forward.
“To be fair that was her first kiss. And she seemed to like it a lot, which is the best anyone can ask for,” he said, peeking at your problem. He pointed at it and said “That’s wrong. It should be a negative.”
You shot him an aggravated look before going back over it. He was right, so you erased bitterly before glancing at him.
“Thanks,” you grumbled sounding ungrateful. He said nothing and you sighed heavily.
“So what, is it your job to teach hapless girls how to kiss in the library?” you asked, trying to ignore his hands which were now crawling along the table. He saw you looking and he raised an eyebrow. You scoffed and went to the next problem, leaving the current one with only half an answer. You were just going to come back to that later.
“Not really. But a lot of girls want a piece of me. Some of them just want to see what it’s like to be a little bad so they can run back to their parents with innocent faces.”
“I can’t imagine they’d like to kiss someone who makes out with everything with legs,” you turn to him and do a judgemental sweep. His lips quirked up in surprise.
“You think so? They know they’re not the only ones I’m kissing, but they cry about it all the same. But you know, I noticed that you have legs and a skirt. According to you, you’re exactly my type.” he grinned. You looked away, but hid your smile. He was kind of a dick, but the banter was alright.
“You think so? I might be a bit to high maintenance for you. Intelligent conversation for one.” He adjusted in the chair and sat up straighter.
“Really? You know I’ve started to get to know people well since I’ve been doing this. Specifically girls. And they all have things they like,” he whispered, his voice lower. You cleared your throat and looked away, not even pretending to do math anymore.
“Yeah? What do they like?” you asked against your better judgement. He smirked and reached for you hands holding them tenderly. But you’re distracted by his hands. Large and veiny. Strong too, with callouses on the palm. They’re warm and you can feel tension leave your shoulders.
“Some of them like tall guys, musicians, stuff like that. But sometimes there’s a girl whose interest is a bit more interesting,” he smirked, rubbing your hands and lacing your fingers together. Your breath hitched and he clicked his tongue.
“Is that right?” you breathed out and he leaned right into your face.
“Gotcha. So, when do you want to do this?”
“Do what?” you asked, but you knew good and well what he was asking. The real question was of course, would you do it?
You were saved from answering your own question when your phone vibrated. It was your mom and you answered it quickly turning away from the boy.
“Hey mom, great timing!” you whispered frustratedly. It wasn’t her fault she didn’t know when you were getting propositioned by someone with hands straight out of your wet dreams.
“Nice to talk to you too rugrat. Where are you?” she asked. As she did so, the boy rested a hand on your knee, stroking the skin with his thumb. You jumped and banged your knee.
“Shit! I mean, sorry mom. I hit my knee. I’m in the library right now so it’s kind of a bad time.” you stressed. His hand slid up, raising goosebumps along the inside of your thigh.
“I thought it was a good time?” she asked. His hand climbed ever higher and he was stroking your inner thigh before grabbing it in a firm grip.
“I was being sarcastic. Um, why’d you call?” you asked coughing. She paused.
“Are you okay? You sound short of breath.”
“Well studying wears me out,” you drawled lazily. The boy scooted so that his chest was resting on your side and he put his chin on your shoulder.
“My name’s Chanyeol,” he murmured pressing a kiss to your shoulder. His hand on your leg went further up and his other hand rested on your lower back, pressing into your spine with his fingers.
“Well you might want to come home soon, it’s late and your father is near tears because his precious darling baby girl is not around to tell him not to eat hot sauce in his eggs.”
“Wait are we having breakfast for dinner?” you pushed Chanyeol away, though he kept his hand on your leg. He didn’t even looked offended that you pushed him away, only amused.
“Yes, and everything will be ready in forty-five minutes.” she said.
“Okay are there gravy and biscuits?”
“Yes and rice, and sausages, and eggs. And because I love you so much, there are waffles.”
“I’ll be right there.” you said, hanging up with quick goodbyes and an I love you.
Chanyeol watched as you packed up your things, though he was smirking still.
“Another time then?” he asked. You whirled around and pointed at him with a single finger.
“This is not happening now or ever! Just...keep your hands to yourself!” you hissed. He stood up and touched his hands to your hips, pulling you closer.
“Is that what you want?”
Instead of answering you slapped his chest but a smile was quirking on your lips.
“I’m leaving,” you called as you walked away. He shook his head.
“Never said no,” you heard him murmur.
For the next week it felt like everywhere you went Chanyeol was there with his large and veiny hands. Some days he sat across the cafeteria with his hands steepled as he talked and others days he was licking something off of them which was both gross and attractive. It was horrible. You weren’t sure if other people noticed him doing this, but you did and it was affecting how you interacted with your peers. You saw him in the hallways sometimes now that you could recognize him you glared at him when you saw him. He would only smirk and waggle his eyebrows.
For the school playboy he was strangely dorky.
Of course, at the end of the week you’d had enough of him just popping up to disturb you. You cornered him outside the courtyard and yanked him into a dark corner.
“Oh like this then? I hardly know you!” he chuckled. You glared up at him, your hands on your hips.
“Okay listen, you noodle legged jackass! Stop teasing me. You are getting on my nerves.”
“Well I’ve never met anyone who had a hand fetish. It’s kinda hot. But I’ll stop if you want,” he shrugged, but then he leaned against the wall. “Of course if you take me up on the offer I might just let you...finish.” he whispered. You chortled, partly in distress and in partly in arousal.
“Okay so say I take you up on this offer. What are the parameters for that?” you asked quietly. He nodded and got off the wall.
“Ah, the most important conversation we’ll ever have. I’m clean of all diseases, and it’ll stay that way. No oral and penetrative sex. But you’ll have a good time.” he said. You tilted your head.
“And what about you?”
“Ever given a hand job?” he grinned toothily and you chuckled.
“Yeah, actually. Okay, so um. My parents aren’t going to be home on Friday since they start work. We could skip and go to my place. Oh my God. I’m soliciting sex.”
“Technically I solicited you instead of the other way around, plus no one is getting paid. And no biggie. I’ll run out naked so you don’t get in trouble.” he said laughing. You nodded.
“Yeah okay. That might be the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me.” you said. He raised an eyebrow before shaking his head.
“Girl you need to get out more. Find some better boyfriends or something.” he snarked.
“Yeah, yeah. I’ll be sure to do that. Here, put your number in my phone and text me tonight so I have it.” you ordered.
“Yes, ma’am.” he murmured taking a selfie on your phone. You rolled your eyes and waited. When he handed it back, he brushed his fingers against yours and your breath caught.
It’s because of his hands you were even in this mess! What a jerk.
Friday rolled around with texts between you and Chanyeol working out the logistics. He’d come over after two hours, you’d let him work his magic and then he would go to school first and you’d follow. The whole thing was a pretty good plan as long as neither of your parents decided to come home early. Luckily the house phone wasn’t hooked up yet so as long as your mom didn’t decide to come home you were golden.
When he got there he was dressed casually and you realized how awkward this was. He seemed relaxed though, and you wondered what exactly he’d done in the past.
“Hey there short stack,” he greeted walking in and looking around. The place was finally starting to look like a house, but things were still awkwardly placed, since everyone still didn’t know where they wanted everything to go.
“Hey there noodle legs.”
He raised his eyebrows and closed the door behind him, locking it.
“Just checking, you haven’t changed your mind? Cause I can still get to class if I run.” he seemed to take your awkwardness as uncertainty, which was fair but still wrong.
“No, I’m still going for this. So how do we start?”
“Well usually people go and sit down, get comfortable, things like that.” he said. You led him inside and sat on the couch. You’d brushed your teeth three times and it felt like your gums were gonna fall off.
“Yeah, that’s true, we should just relax and take it slow,” you reasoned. You stared at his back and felt your face warm. He turned around and you both rushed at each other. You grasped his face at the moment he grabbed your waist, pulling you up against his body. The kiss was sloppy and uncoordinated and you pulled away long enough to glance at him.
“Wow you suck,” he panted.
“Only if you ask nicely,” you joked pulling him back down. This time you took care to kiss slowly and with some kind of measured control. You guided him to the couch, since your room was too far and there was no way you were going to have any kind of sexual contact in your parents’ room. Chanyeol didn’t mind the couch and he divested you of your sweater, his hands roaming over your skin with practiced ease.
He reached into the waistband of your pants, rubbing you through the thin material of your panties.
“Holy shit!” you exclaimed in shock. He paused and pulled back.
“Is that fine, or no?”
“It’s good!” you laugh pressing an eager kiss to his lips. He rubbed you slowly and you gasped, trying to keep your voice under control. Instead of letting him have all the perverted fun, you grasped at his pants and slipping your own hand straight into his underwear.
“Your hands are cold,” he laughed as his hand went into your underwear.
“And yours are basically my wet dreams in physical form. One of us had to have bad luck,” you retorted. He shut you up real quick after that. His fingers easily found your clit and his calloused finger felt like delicious torture against you. Your own wrist was twisted uncomfortably to jerk off Chanyeol, but he enjoyed himself nonetheless which was good enough.
“Are you gonna come first?” he asked slipping a finger into you, going as deep as possible so that the heel of his hand just barely contacted the swollen bundle of nerves.
You let out a sharp exhale and a strange jerking motion of your hand.
“Who knows?” his other hand tangled with your unoccupied one and you bit your lip, taken aback at the somewhat tender gesture.
“Well let’s try to come together,” he panted slipping a second one inside an scissoring you while his thumb reached up rubbing you firmly. Your hips bucked and he gritted his teeth as your grip tightened. He cursed as your cried out.
You slipped a fresh pair of underwear on and cleared your throat. Chanyeol smirked at you as he wiped at your face with a wet cloth you’d tossed at him in embarrassment.
“Here, let me get that. You don’t want to walk into school with this on your face,” he whispered. You watched him as he wiped at your face. You hadn’t even realized any of it had gotten on you. But he was tender and didn’t tease you, which you were extremely grateful for.
“Thanks. You got all your stuff? Even your underwear?” he nodded and pecked your nose.
“Yep. Our sordid affair left no evidence. But let the air circulate. Most people can smell sex,” he said. You nodded and watched him gather his things.
“Right, you would know all about that wouldn’t you?” you teased. He rolled his eyes in slight annoyance.
“Just open a window. I’ll see you at school?”
“Yep,” you popped the `p’ and he stood by the door getting his shoes on.
“Hm. We should do this again sometime,” he smirked as he opened the door. You strutted up to him and pressed a kiss to the hollow of his neck.
“Careful, I might start making an honest man out of you,”
“Never!” he laughed. You winked as you pushed him out the door.
“We’ll see!”
I just realized Chanyeol never learned `your’ name. Jeez that hasn’t happened in a scenario in months. But, I kept it kinda clean because I imagine teenagers are less likely to have one night stands with people they’ve known for two weeks. But here it is kids!*mwah*
Hello! Could you write an scenario where Chanyeol has been reading haters comments on the internet and his girlfriend wants to encourage him and make him smile? I like your blog a lot <3
Hi~ I posted this on the wrong blog by mistake, so if you happened to see it on the other one, please don’t reblog or like it on that one, thanks! @yuyuyeol

You had noticed the vague changes in Chanyeol only recently but you couldn’t find a source for the change or some kind of reason. Maybe he was stressed out? He had been filming more lately and had even begun posting more of his songs too. As a general rule you weren’t aloud to look at things until the final cut was available as Chanyeol considered you as one of his most honest reviewers. As someone with an extensive music background you knew the nuances of making music and how certain things fit together, but you weren’t out of touch with modern sound and applications. Of course, as it girlfriend you would also be honest with him but still fair. But for now he hadn’t seen or heard his most recent works since they were still `on the cutting board’ as Chanyeol sometimes called it. You hated it actually, because you always saw fans recently talking about his songs and how they sounded like this, or reminded them of this and you wished you could joining the discussion. But the reception seemed good so far and you wondered what it was that was bothering him.
Even now, he was in the living room tapping out an incomplete melody on his keyboard. It wasn’t a sad melody, just so achingly uninspired that you knew he wasn’t playing for enjoyment or any kind of halfway positive emotions. He was just playing for the sake of playing. Instead of lingering, you decide to get up and see what wrong with him and why he’s acting like his whole life has just been ruined. You debated on whether he needed a moment alone or if he needed your support for whatever was obviously bothering him. After a few minutes you decided that it was time to step in.
Chanyeol was still on his keyboard, not really paying attention to what he was doing as he was clearly deep in thought.
“Hey there big guy. How’s it going?” you asked, running a hand through his hair. He leaned into your body, wrapping an arm around your waist and pulling you close.
“Not good. I just feel…” he trailed off and you urged him to continue.
“What? What’s wrong? Talk to me,” you insisted. He sighed heavily.
“I don’t know I’m just thinking about the stuff I’ve been putting out recently and I wonder if it’s any good. I mean, I know I can’t please everyone but I don’t know if I’m really talented or maybe the people around me just let me get away with mediocre talent because they’re fond of me,” he worried, looking up at you with his sad wide eyes. You cooed sadly and cradled his face.
“Oh Chanyeol. Did you read comments again?”
“Yes, but I wasn’t looking for them. They were just there and I just started reading and...well I just kinda...reacted badly. I’m okay now I guess but I just feel so helpless sometimes.” he admitted. You shook your head and leaned your forehead onto his.
“It’s okay to be...unsure of yourself every once in awhile. That’s just how humans are. But don’t let other people who you don’t know influence all your actions and thoughts. Those who know you know you’re talent and that’s the support you need and the people you should listen to.” you said, pinching his cheeks lightly and smiling when he made a face.
“People who know me might not say anything though,” he pointed out. You nodded in response, though you weren’t sure if that applied to everyone.
“Yeah, but people who hate you will always insult you, right? They’ll despise everything you do and they’ll always want you to fail. You just have to know yourself and know your capabilities. Have faith in you, not others’ opinion of you,” you grinned pecking the top of his head. He nodded and let out a deep breath.
“You’re right. I know you said you’ll always be here for me but it’s really nice knowing I can rely on you,” he said, hugging you before stiffening and giving you a suspicious glare. “You didn’t listen to any of that stuff yet did you?” he asked. You rolled your eyes and extricated yourself from his hold.
“No, I didn’t, but it’s cruel to make your girlfriend wait to listen when literally everyone else got to hear.” you snapped. He only grinned before nudging you.
“Are you really that mad?”
“A little! I wanna listen too! Everyone keeps talking about how much they liked it. I’m pretty sure my mom said she liked it too.”
Chanyeol’s eyebrows came up and he grinned goofily.
“You really think so? Think she’d buy my mixtape?” he asked coyly. You froze in surprise and pushed his face away with a hearty laugh and a head shake.
“Oh my goodness, get away from me you huge dork.” you complain.
“It was just a thought. Don’t worry I’ll let you listen later tonight. We’re going on a date.” he said. You rolled your eyes.
“Oh? Where is it tonight? The living room or the kitchen? I swear if you make me bake another cake I will scream,” you warned pointing a finger at him. He laughed loudly his face scrunching up and his laugh echoing around the room.
“I was thinking we could go walk by the river tonight actually. Dress warm, I hear it’s cold.” he suggested standing up and walking to the kitchen. You frowned.
can u write a scenario based on meghan ft john legend-like im gonna love you? thnk u~^^
Here you go~ it took a while, but here it is!
Warning(s): Car accident mention, i think someone says `crap’ once.
You watched with pride as Chanyeol was honored in his city for the musical outreach program he had directed and nurtured for several years now. There were several people being honored tonight, but your eyes were only on Chanyeol. You were his date for tonight and so you were dressed to the sixes and the picture of elegance. He gave a short speech about how the program only succeeding because of the ambition and eagerness of the kids and encouragement of the parents.
When the crowd had stopped clapping Chanyeol made his way back to your side and pressed a kiss to your temple and whispered into your ear, “Thank you for supporting me,” and you smiled at him before leaning in and resting your head on his chest.
The rest of the night was a blur of speeches and plaques but you were growing tired of the fanfare and the noise. You loved socializing, but stuff that like tended to drag on forever and you just wanted to curl up in Chanyeol’s arms and just sleep the rest of the night away.
“So? Did you have fun?” He asked, wrapping his arm around yours as he walked out, walking down the block to your car which was parked along the street a show of your own parking prowess.
“Eh, it wasn’t jello shots, but it was pretty entertaining. The best part though, was seeing you being recognized for your hard work and talent.” He smiled bashfully, his dimples peeking out just a bit and you felt your own grin widen.
“It was all because of your support. We struggled a lot because of my dream holding us back, but you stayed with me. Supported me and helped me,” he stopped walking, pulling the two of you out of the pedestrian traffic and cupping your face.
“You’re acting like it was some great deed to stick by the man I love. This wasn’t some great duty. But thank you.” You wrapped your arms around his waist and smile lovingly at him as he stroked your back.
“C’mon. We have a nice Queen sized bed at home with a bottle of wine waiting on us.” He led you back to the car, tickling your side occasionally.
You were barely paying attention to Chanyeol, as you found watching the road both fun and relaxing. Chanyeol jammed out to the radio and you saw the other car just a split second too late.
When you woke up, your entire body was sore and your throat felt raw and bloody. You hacked immediately and your toes curled in pain.
“Ugh, what happened? Chanyeol?”
As you wondered what happened between seeing the car and now you realized that you must be in the hospital considering the gown on your body and the machine monitoring your heartbeat. The sudden influx of sensations disoriented you and made your head pound. Still you needed to know what happened and exactly which hospital you were in.
Despite your grogginess and confusion, you realized that Chanyeol was probably in a similar state to you, or worse. The thought of the latter made your heart stutter and you closed your eyes to collect your still scattered thoughts.
Instead of wallowing in your own grief and sadness you reached for the console which called the nurse and pressed it several times, impatiently.
It was a few minutes before the nurse came in and she tended to you and asked how you felt.
“Like hell. Where is the man who was in the car with me?”
“The other patient come the crash is still in intensive care. It’s been a few hours since the crash. But you need to focus on your recovery,” the nurse said, writing down what must be your vitals on the clipboard.
“So he got out alive?” you asked, joyfully. He was in the hospital but he was alive right now and that’s all you cared about.
“Yes, but we’re still waiting on the results. I’ll send in the doctor so you can discuss the details of your recovery and health options.”
You saw the doctor, answering his questions robotically. The questions ranged from past health difficulties to family history. Despite your dazed mind you got through those hellish few hours before your sister could finally get to you. She cried over you, lamenting how vulnerable you looked, but she was still so glad to see you with your eyes open. Chanyeol wasn’t that lucky. Instead of wallowing, you asked your mom to call Chanyeol’s family and make them aware of the accident. Giving the news was hard.
Hearing Chanyeol’s family’s anguished cries were even worse.
You recovered from the accident by the end of the week and the doctor noted that you’d made a remarkable recovery mostly due to your location in the car, but you didn’t care. The point was that Chanyeol was still in a coma after six days. You went back to work because you had obligations but your soul was with your fiance who was suffering in the hospital while his loved ones all visited in small intervals.
At the end of the day, hours before you had to leave you settled into a chair and told Chanyeol about your day and what was going on.
“Work was slow as usual. Everyone keeps trying to lighten my workload because they think I’m stressed and I’m grateful but I just want things to be normal everywhere else, you know? You’re here and you’re so far away physically and mentally. Can you even hear me? Do you ever think of me? Dream of me? Sorry, I’m rambling. My boss wanted to know how your mom was, but I just told him she was trying. I’m not even sure what that means.”
Chanyeol remained stationary and you gripped his hand, ignoring the hot tears forming in your eyes.
“Are you scared like I am? I keep wondering if you’ll make it out of this. How long are you gonna be in a coma? How much of your life are you going to miss? I-I hate not knowing. You know how much I wanted a spring wedding? To symbolize our new life? Forget it! Let’s get married the second you’re better. I’d marry you in my underwear right not if it meant you were okay. I miss you. I miss watching you live.” You leaned in and rested your forehead on his arm, sobbing onto his skin.
“I’m sorry that we were on the road at that moment. I’m sorry that you’re all alone in your head right now. I’m sorry that you have to be here, I’m sorry it wasn’t me,” you cried out, trying not to draw attention to your sobs but you couldn’t muffle the sound any more than you could suffocate the despair.
After the eleventh day the doctor was clearly getting more skeptic. Losing faith in Chanyeol’s recovery.
“Is there anything else that can be done?” His mother frets, looking more stressed than you could remember.
“At this point, only Chanyeol can get himself out of this. There isn’t anything else we can do,” His sister turns away, dabbing at her face with a tissue and his mother swoons. His father can barely catch her before sets her down in the only chair. You’d seen stuff like this in over the top dramas and you always wondered why they couldn’t accept the truth, why there were so many dramatics. But you understood now. This was grief, a bone deep, soul clenching grief. Chanyeol might never wake up. It was a possibility that down the line you would have to take him off life support because no one could afford too keep him alive or that he’d wake up with some kind of difficulty and make his life even harder...
The doctor left you all to your grief, excusing herself, looking affected herself.
“He’s going to get better,” his sister said suddenly. Her voice was sharp and unrelenting, and Mr. Park looked up, nodding.
“Chanyeol is a fighter. He loves too many things to leave. He has a fiance waiting.” The words made you jump and you nodded absently, reaching for Chanyeol’s hand and stroking the knuckles. His hands weren’t cold, but rather warm, and his peaceful sleep gave the impression of sleep.
Mrs. Park only sobbed, unable to be comforted.
“Mom he’s going to be okay, he won’t--he’s gonna be fine!” She hugged her mom and stroked her hair. Your future father-in-law reached for your hand and you offered it with no hesitance. Your grief wouldn’t be erased, but rather it would flow between you all. Unchanging but managed. At least you hoped so.
At home, everything was worse. Waking up cold, making breakfast for one, and leaving the house without so much as a murmur. All the pictures mocked you from the walls and you very nearly destroyed some, just to stop being so angry.
Apparently that was one of the stages of grief.
It felt more like a state of being at this point.
Once you had a lunch break, you drove to the hospital, mindful of the time. You didn’t need to lose a job on top of everything else.
Chanyeol was asleep, waiting for you like usual.
“Hey baby, I’m here for lunch. I almost got you favorite, hoping it would wake you up, but that’s silly isn’t it? Work is boring as always. Accounting can never be interesting in conversation but somehow you made me feel like a celebrity. Like what I said was the highlight of your day. But you’ve always been the highlight of mine. What a pitiful couple we make right now. A comatose music teacher and a depressed accountant.”
You were in one of your more morose moods today, but you didn’t stop talking. If you did that, who on earth was going to wake up Chanyeol?
You ate your meal in between drawn out descriptions of your day and part from your fiance, stressed and upset.
For the rest of your work day, your colleagues avoid you like the plague. You hadn’t told any of them about the crash, but local news had run a story on Chanyeol, since he was a figure that many people admired and looked up to. Even now, his hospital room had vases of flowers and get well cards from kids who he’d taught and peers who respected him. The upside to them knowing was that everyone gave you space when you worked and didn’t give you a hard time for being so antisocial.
Since you had no one to come home to, you worked late into the night, rubbing your eyes when they got tired. Your boss finally left her office and she paused when she peeked into your office and saw you hunched over your desk.
“What are you still doing here? Your shift ended four hours ago.”
“That time already? I guess I should be packing up, huh? Sorry about racking up the electricity bill boss.” You grin and yawn, trying to stave off the exhaustion. Your boss looks at you with a critical eye before sighing.
“You can’t keep doing this. You need to work like a person not a machine. We all heard about Chanyeol and we want you to feel better. But I can’t stand here and pretend that you’re not falling apart and using work as a means to distract yourself. I’m giving you the rest of the week off.”
“What?” You exclaim, standing up angrily and causing some of the papers on your desk to be disrupted.
She glared at you and readjusted her purse.
“You heard me. Go be with your family. Relax for a while and come back.” She said. You nodded and stood up, collecting your belongings. You followed after your boss who talked about her son’s most recent program he made on his computer. You don’t really know what to say, but you stay polite.
The drive back is stressful since you’re so tired and once you make it home you collapse on the couch barely remembering to take off your shoes.
Several hours later you wake up early morning and you’re grateful you don’t have work, otherwise you’d be aching all day with the way your neck and back has stiffened up. Nevertheless you peel yourself off the couch and stumbe off to the shower tiredly. The shower roused you enough for you to realize that you’re hungry and you wiped off your face, trying to remember if you even had anything to cook with.
Thankfully you weren’t so out of it that you at least still had groceries.
After eating a quick but satisfying breakfast and wearing a thick woolen sweater and your most comfortable jeans you feel more human. But now you have nothing to do since visiting hours for the hospital aren’t for another three hours. So you clean up.
You deplore cleaning ordinarily but there was something cathartic about throwing out the old and letting the fresh air permeate the room. You can’t leave the windows open long since it’s cold, but for now the crisp air is a blessing. By the time you’re done giving the house a cleaning to rival your own mom, it’s late enough for you to go to the hospital.
Chanyeol is exactly as you left him, only this time his sister is there reading a book as calm as could be and she greets you with an easy smile.
“Oh, you’re here too! I thought you had work?”
You shrug, trying not to blush as you set down your purse.
“My boss gave me a week off because I was being so...you know. So here I am. You?”
She nodded, setting her book down.
“Similar to you. Only I took time off on my own. I almost made a very embarrassing error on television so I just decided to see my brother.” She explained. She reached over to squeeze his hand, and you watched it, feeling sorry for the two of you, but Chanyeol most of all.
“Really? That must suck. How are your parents?”
Yura shrugged.
“Mom is...coping. She’s been really into working at the restaurant recently and a lot of people come in to wish her well. Dad is doing better than any of us. I don’t know how he can be so calm but he is. I want to ask how you’re doing but I think we both know.” She said. You nodded.
“I feel like crap. I’m stressed and worried and restless. But you look alright.” You said somewhat bitterly. Yura caught onto your tone immediately and her head tilted, just a small degree and her eyes sharpened.
“Yeah? What makes you say that?”
“Well I’m here every day for lunch and I never see you. And you look well rested, not even stressed. Are you even worried about your brother? I feel like the only one who really cares about him, I mean the rest of you are just flouncing about as calm as can be when I’m falling apart!” You exclaim, and you can feel the tension leaking into the hallway and catching the attention of some passerby. You weren’t even sure where the outburst had come from, and truthfully you’re already starting to regret it.
Yura wasted no time.
“I don’t spend all my time wallowing in my sadness because I’m still an adult with obligations. It might be easy for you to just drop a week of work but the rest of us actually work to help pay for his medical bills, which my family is mostly footing by the way. I come in here after work almost every day and I visit my brother. My mom is a business owner and manages to visit him five times a week when you’re at home crying. My father is the only one who visits on the weekend and we all still find time to keep being responsible. If you think that you are the only person who’s worried or stressed or missing Chanyeol you’re mistaken.” her delivery had been sharp and you could seen the controlled rage in her eyes.
Having your actions thrown out at you like that made your vision tunnel for a minute and you dart out of the room, fighting the urge to throw up. You have been selfish these past few days. Sure you had been injured as well but not nearly as extensively as Chanyeol and you weren’t the only one suffering from the loss. You found yourself outside on the ground floor and you wondered how you’d even gotten down here.
You stared up at the sky, trying to calm down and face your own behavior. You were grieving but you needed to get it together. Accusing the sister of your future husband of not caring about him. If Chanyeol knew he’d probably be so disappointed. Maybe you needed that talk with your mom. Your phone rang suddenly, cutting across your turbulent thoughts. It was Yura.
Rather than letting her rip you a new one, or apologize or whatever she felt like doing you continued to stew in your own thoughts. Or you would have if Yura was calling you every ten minutes.
You couldn’t delay it anymore. Even if you did want to avoid her you couldn’t leave since your keys were in your purse which was still in the room.
You go back to the room rehearsing what to say when you have to speak to Yura when your heart stops. There is Chanyeol, sitting up and talking feebly to his sister. Yura turns to you and gives you a look and you realize why she’s been calling. At that moment you make eye contact with Chanyeol and you’ve never been more in love with his brown eyes or the small crows feet on the corners because of years of laughing like his life depended on it. His eyes literally light up when he sees you too and you know that nothing else could be so wonderful. Your eyes fill with grateful tears and you make your way to his unoccupied side and cuddling up to his arm, but you maintain that precious eye contact.
“Chanyeol…! You’re awake!”
You’re alive.
That’s what you want to say, but you don’t really want to dampen the mood already. He strokes your cheek with arm fingers and a soft touch that only he can emulate.
“Yeah. I am. My sister filled me in. She said you were in the hospital too. Are you okay?”
“Of course I’m okay! I’m walking aren’t I?”
“Yeah that’s true!” He laughed and you kept crying, burying your face in the sheets.
“I’m sorry you’re in here. I’m sorry I was mean to your sister, I’m sorry I’m crying when I should be smiling!” You blubbered, snotting and crying all over yourself. Chanyeol paused in comforting you and you could feel him wince.
“Yeah she told me about that. I forgive you. It must have been really stressful with me in a coma. I’m sorry we got hurt but I hope you guys can make up,” he said. You poked your head up, looking at Yura intensely. She rolled her eyes but smiled lightly at you.
“I think we’ll be fine. Everyone was just really stressed out. Speaking of, mom and dad are gonna be so happy to see you up!” Yura teased, her eyes dancing with light. Chanyeol answered the teasing in kind, not missing a beat. He was so...at ease as if he was never confined to this bed for so long. He glanced at you while he was speaking and he gripped your hand rubbing the skin. As Yura paused in her storytelling Chanyeol grinned at you.
“I love you,” he whispered.
“I love you too, baby.” You responded.
Ah so sweet! I keep laughing because poor OC just got ripped a new one courtesy of Yura. She looks like a sweetie pie in real life so I wonder if she could even do something like this.
It was nearly a month before you saw Chanyeol, or any of the werewolves again.
The next time you saw Chanyeol was at the grocery store with two of his brothers, neither of their names known to you. He noticed you staring and smirked at you, his teeth glinting.
“Chanyeol. And your brothers,” you nodded at the other two politely. Your locket was cool against your collarbone but you remained on guard, though your face remained open and trusting.
“Yeah, Jongdae and Sehun. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen you. I thought you disappeared.” he joked. You shook your head.
“Now why on earth would I do that? Should I be afraid?” you asked, quietly. The air was charged with tension suddenly and just as on the beach you felt a shiver of anticipation.
They know, get ready to fight!
`Here?’ you thought wearily. The situation looked strange from the outside. A lone woman clutching the bar of a grocery cart and facing three men, all taller than her, stronger. And all with intense, almost glazed looks.
“What are you thinking, little witch?” Chanyeol asked and your hands clenched on the bar, your knuckles nearly white.
“I’m trying to figure out the best way to fight three werewolves in a grocery store,” you admitted.
“Like you could!” Sehun snorted. You tilted your head and smiled.
“Wanna see, mutt?” he shifted into a half crouch but Jongdae yanked him back.
“Don’t Sehun. Chanyeol we can’t fight here.”
“Like hell we can’t!” Sehun growled. You let go of the cart and all three let out growls which wove together like some macabre harmony. Your locket was warm against your skin and you understood the situation now.
“Get a handle on your pup or I will!”
Despite your threat to fight them, doing so in such a public venue was a mistake. So instead of fighting them here, well, you were going to put the situation in your own hands.
“What is she doing?” Jongdae asked as you lifted your hand and curled your fingers into a claw.
“Bring our spirits to the salt and sand, carry us on the wind.” you muttered. You felt a pull behind your bellybutton as you were yanked through dimensions to your chosen destination.
You landed on a cliff, though none of you were close enough to fall off.
“Where did you take us?” Chanyeol asked immediately, having landed on his knees from the travel. The other two hadn’t fared any better.
“Away from innocent people. Why are you here in my town?”
“Your town? Do you own the people here? Cast any hexes on them lately?”
You snarled, but shook your head.
“No. But I’ve lived here and protected this town for over ten years and I will not tolerate werewolves whose intentions are not well known. Who are you?”
Jongdae stood.
“We were told an air witch was the cause of our curse. We wanted to, ahem, ask her to break it.” he said. Your mind froze in that singular moment by the revelation. Air witch? You didn’t know any air witches. Not any that were alive. And the only one that had lived in this town...
“Mom…” you whispered, tears filling your eyes.
“What?” Chanyeol asked, not having heard your words.
“There are no air witches here. The one you seek is long dead. I cannot help you. Leave.” you growled, your eyes narrowed in true malice. Sehun stepped forward and his eyes glowed yellow with barely reined in fury.
“No. We’ve suffered long enough. We haven’t been able to see those we love in years. Release us witch.”
“I cannot. I don’t know the curse placed on you, nor do I know why it was cast. Who is to say you don’t deserve it?” and for a horrible moment, you realized that your own mother cast a curse on someone. Someone whom you spoke with. Shared smiles with. She’d always said that curses were tricky and that casting them put you under risk. She forbade you from casting any, saying that the price of curses was more than revenge was worth.
“And it harm none do what ye will.” you recited, your eyes closing in resignation. Before your mom died, she’d been sick suddenly with just about anything. The flu, pneumonia before suddenly developing pulmonary edema. The irony was not lost on you.
“What curse did she place?” you asked quietly.
Chanyeol looked at you, his eyes searching yours.
“She cast a curse based on what we wanted. We wanted to be healthy forever. But it made us werewolves. We got stronger faster, more healthy in every sense of the word. But we never asked to be werewolves.”
“And yet, you’ve taken to it naturally. Who’s to say I can help you?” you asked, truly curious.
“We didn’t want you! We were looking for the witch who did this to us.” Jongdae said, looking short-tempered.
“She’s dead. She died years ago. If the curse hasn’t broken by now then she must have made an effigy to channel the curse. I’ve never found it. So I don’t think I can help you.”
“But you’re a witch? You can’t break a simple curse?”
“Breaking curses isn’t as simple as a few words! It takes true mastery of the craft, knowledge of the material used. I truly can't help you, and I don’t know if I want to.”
“Cure us!” Chanyeol pleaded.
“I can’t!” you exploded--literally--as fire leapt up in front of you before dying out nearly immediately as you pulled it back instinctively.
“Then I’ll rip your throat out!”
Several things happened almost simultaneously.
Your locket burned so hotly then that you knew your skin would have a large oval shape burned in.
You lifted your hand as a shield covered the immediate area around you while Sehun hit the shield with his whole body.
You looked out at them with stone cold eyes as the locket cooled, soothing the burn it left.
“This town can’t offer you anything. I can't offer you anything. Leave.”
The air was stiff and tense but you simply closed your eyes without a response and disappeared.
“I can’t believe it. A curse. Werewolves are rarely made werewolves because of a curse. Your mom must have been really powerful.” Daniella sighed enviously.
You nodded slowly, nibbling on the biscuit in your hand.
“Yeah she was. Even though she taught a lot of the craft to herself she was so strong. Her mom died when she was still a kid and her dad told her what he could, but she finally picked it up as a teenager. She could cast spells with ease. I hardly ever saw her use things like effigies or aid. She was a natural witch. Unmatched.”
“You’re a natural witch too you know.” she bumped her shoulder with yours but you didn’t smile like she clearly wanted you to.
“And you are too. But if we’re being honest, at this point neither of us are as powerful as she is. I’ll have to solve this on my own but I have no idea how.” you shoved the rest of the biscuit in your mouth and chewed anxiously.
“Listen to me, okay? Whatever your mom did, we can undo it. We’re crafty enough to fix it. So the first thing that needs to be done, is we need to know how long ago the curse was cast,” she began. You swallowed and cleared your throat.
“How she cast it. What materials she used.” you sighed.
“Where it was cast.” she added.
“How do we find out? I mean I can go searching through the house but it’s been years I would’ve found something by now,” you argued.
“I’ve got two plans. You’re probably not gonna like either of them. First, I’ll try to look into the past. And see if I could see your mother.”
“And if that doesn’t work?” you asked. Daniella sighed as she stood and smoothed her skirt.
“Let’s just focus on the first plan.”
“Sure. Pack stuff for a few days. Who knows how long this might take?”
“As usual, please make sure I don’t drown. This one will take longer since I’m looking back into the past and so far back too. If I’m not up in five minutes get me out.”
“Five!? Can you hold your breath for that long?”
“No, but this spell is more powerful than last time. Just like before be ready for when I come out.” She said, looking more serious than you’d ever seen her.
“Sure. Good luck.” You gave a wavering smile and nodded.
Daniella descended and began her journey into the past.
A woman sat in front of an altar, her legs crossed as she chanted under her breath. She was interrupted by the short cry of her baby in the next room.
“That poor baby. She can’t seem to sleep through a whole night.”
The woman stood gracefully and quickly went across the hall and cooed to her child.
“I know darling. You want to practice magic too, but there is such a thing as too young. But when you’re older I will. Would you like a song, my love?” she asked softly, lifting the baby from the crib. The baby giggled and reached for her mother’s face.
The woman hummed and danced around the room, letting the baby be rocked with her smooth movements.
When the baby was falling asleep, the woman stopped and put the baby in the crib again, making sure she was swaddled comfortably.
The woman went back to her altar room and sat back down.
She began to meditate, her mouth moving quickly. She suddenly looked up her face facing the ceiling, but she was looking beyond that.
Her eyes were pure yellow and she was filled with power greater than she could fathom. Her mouth fell open in near orgasmic glee and she fell backward, collapsing on the floor.
~~~~~
They couldn’t be trusted. This family. They were thieves and liars of the lowest caliber. So she confronted them, hidden beneath her cloak, and shielded with a glamor to be safe.
“So? Have you thought about our offer?”
“What can you give me to make this worth it? You’re criminals.”
“True. But we can give that family of yours safety. My sons will guard her in exchange for their lives. It’s a fair deal.”
“You would sell your sons into servitude? For youth and vitality?”
“My sons are ill. Half of them won’t live long enough to get married and have children. They are desperate and so am I.”
“I will not perform such magic. Instead I will give them blessed remedies to help them. If they take the remedy every month under the waxing moon they shall live normal lifespans.”
“Nothing will make you cast this spell?”
“No, I’m sorry.”
“Very well. We have a deal.”
~~~~~~~~
The woman stormed up the pathway and slammed the door open, muttering under her breath as the house moved things out of her way. In her ire she was influencing the world around her, but she barely paid attention. Her daughter was a school, and her husband was long dead so no one witnessed the fury in her eyes.
“They think they can trap me in such a hex? Turn me into their chattel? They have no idea what they’ve unleashed in me,” she growled. “To threaten my child. When it was my grace alone that let them live to see today. My time wasted on such ungratefulness. They will leave us alone. Or they will suffer.”
~~~~~~~~
The brothers all woke from their sleep, twisting in their beds as their bones broke and shifted to accommodate the change they brought on. Though they were still young they knew the cause. The reason for their suffering. They didn’t even need to look for her as the witch materialized in their home, covered by her cloak once more.
“Witch what are you doing to us?” they cried brokenly through their pain. The woman only stared as they changed before lifting her chin, and looked down at them.
“I am giving you a curse. For your arrogance and greed. You wished to live a long life? With strength and speed greater than any normal man? Now you shall have it. But it will come at a price as such things do. I warned you about the dangers of this spell, warned your father but you did not listen. Using the power of the guardians of the corners and drawing on your own bloodline, I bind thee. From now until the curse is broken, all those born of your blood will suffer this fate. This is your punishment.” she said, watching as they writhed even more as fur sprouted along their backs, as they cried out their voices turning into howls.
“No!” they screamed, reaching their half formed claws to her.
“It is what you deserve!” she screamed. As they completed the first change--the most painful change--the woman stepped back and dissolved into the shadows, but as she arrived back in her home she collapsed in her altar room, coughing up blood. She clenched her fingers on the wood, tears filling her eyes.
~~~~~~
The woman tried to focus on writing. Though her husband had left them a sizeable inheritance, she still worked, mostly for something to do. Editing wasn’t easy, but at least from home she could manipulate the environment.
Still she felt cooped up in the house. She stood from her computer, but paused when she felt the air around the outskirts stir.
“Oh?” she teleported there and stared at the wolves who prowled the barrier trying to get in. But the barrier was meant to last for over ten years and she planned on reinforcing it by then.
She lifted her hand and watched as they backed up from the barrier when she forced them back with gale force winds.
The looked up at her and she could see their yellow eyes even from this great distance. She faded away in the wind, like dust back to her home.
~~~~~~~~~~
She grabbed her journal, writing about everything she knew in the Book of Shadows for her daughter. She was still young and full of potential, but without guidance she would be lost.
“Give me strength for just two more days. Just two.”
The woman continued to write, but her hand quavered as she wrote.
Her daughter came in then, and she sighed when she saw her mother still writing.
“Mom stop that. You need to rest.”
“I am. This is relaxing to me.”
The daughter rolled her eyes and took the book from her protesting mom.
“Yeah well relax when I leave. How are you feeling?”
“Good for once. But how are you? I know you’re grown up now but you must be lonely.” The girl smiled sadly.
“You’re right. But you need to stay here.”
“Sure. But, they keep feeding me hospital food. Could you go to the vending machine for me?”
“Sure. The usual?”
“Please,” the woman smiled at her daughter as she left but it fell as she was out of earshot. She glanced over at the corner of the room.
“Whoever you are. Watching me. I don’t know who you are. But reveal yourself or I will be forced to reveal you.”
There was no movement and the woman sighed, waving her hand. Daniella felt a pull and suddenly she was visible.
“What? How are you--?”
“You’re from the future. I see. Whatever you have come to learn, make it fast.”
“How do you break the curse?”
The woman closed her eyes and her face seemed to sag.
“I won’t.”
“You have to! The wolves are targeting your daughter and they got through the old barrier you put up.”
“I will not. That is their punishment.”
“But--”
“Go.”
“But I--”
“Begone!”
Daniella surged above the water and promptly leaned over and began to gag and cry.
“Can you breathe?” you asked, rubbing her back and stroking her nape gently.
“Your mom was so strong,” she took a deep breath before leaning on the rim of the tub and sighing.
“I know that.”
“No, I feel like you don’t know. Your mom invoke some kind of air spirit or god or goddess. And a powerful one at that. She controlled the power they gave her almost instantly. I don’t know why but I saw it in my search, so it must be important. But more importantly she didn’t use any special materials. Just her own power and their own bloodline. To break it, we need to be as powerful as she was at the time she cast the curse.” Daniella replied darkly. You hopes plummeted. It was almost guaranteed that the brothers were going to stalk you forever.
“Shit. I’m done. They’re never gonna leave me alone,” you moaned, rubbing your temple to stave off the ensuing migraine. Daniella slapped your arm and clicked her tongue.
“Listen to me, we are not going to give up. I’m going to do some research. Maybe something I saw on the altar will show what deity she used. In the meantime you’re going to set up charms to protect you and the people of the town. Who knows what they’ll do when they realize you can’t help them just yet? Your mom seemed to think lowly of them. You’re gonna be okay, I’m going to help you.” She said grabbing your arms and forcing you to look at her. You nodded and stood but she gripped your hand and shook her head.
“Stay here for now.”
“What?”
“Well I mean spend the night, since it’s late and I’m worried about you, quite frankly.” She said. You nodded and helped her out of the expansive bathtub.
“Yeah. That’s probably a good idea.”
The next few days were incredibly stressful and frustrating for you. On one hand you were trying to do a full scale protection of the entire town, and extra protection for your own house. You were trying to search the house for evidence, trying to avoid the brothers in town. Honestly you were expecting a slight breakdown, and luckily it happened in the privacy of your own home.
You patted out the flames on the curtain over the window above your kitchen sink. You sighed and fought back frustrated tears. You closed your eyes and took deep breaths, focusing on the taste of salt in the air and the sound of the sea crashing upon the shore.
When you opened your eyes you felt much calmer and you finished washing the dishes, drying your hands absentmindedly. You weren’t sure how to go about protecting the entire town when there was incessant knocking at your door. You stomped over and yanked the door, only to greeted with the sight of Chanyeol in bruised and bleeding on your front door.
Despite their possible grudge against you, despite your fear of disappointing your late mother, you ushered him inside, glancing around outside for a sign of his siblings. Your locket was icy against your skin, as you brought him inside, leading him to the couch. He sat down heavily with a groan and you hoped he wouldn’t bleed all over it. Your St. Bernards were both panting in the doorway to the living room, both looking distinctly uncomfortable with his presence. Your cats hissed before darting away and your pitbull puppy, sweet thing, sat at his feet and leaned against his shin.
“So. Before I help you, answer some of my questions.”
He coughed and glowered at you with one eye as the other was swollen shut.
“Fine.” he forced out, his voice raw.
“How did you end up like this? Fight?”
“My brothers and I all got into fights. It probably didn’t help that I tried to swim against the sea current.”
“Why on earth did you do that?” You called as you went to the closest bathroom, rifling through the cabinets. You need to clean his wounds first, and patch them up. Sometimes you used your own home remedies since they were altogether cheaper and easier since you had your own small garden but you had no idea what you could use on a werewolf.
“I was working off my anger but,” there was a pause and a hiss “I must have a bruised rib.” He said. You brought out store bought bruise cream and sat on the coffee table in front of Chanyeol, scratching the ear of your dog as you did so. The rest of them were hiding now.
“You’re an idiot. Now hold still.” You opened the container and dipped two fingers into the cream. As your hand neared his face he made a low growling noise in his throat and you paused.
“If you bite me, I swear I will set your hair on fire.” You threatened, your brow wrinkling. He glared at you and you returned it with equal fire.
Once he relented you slathered on the cream.
“Why’d you come here, instead of the hospital?”
“Hospitals like to do bloodwork. Werewolf blood draws too much attention.” He mumbled, wincing. You nodded and gestured to his chest.
“Anything under there?”
“I few cuts. Some bruises.” He answered promptly. You reached for the alcohol and the cotton swabs, and he lifted his shirt slowly and silently.
“Why do you think my mom cursed you,” you asked into the silence, your eyes focused entirely on cleaning his many `cuts’ which were several large claw marks, and even some bites. He didn’t answer immediately, or even as a delayed response.
“To be honest I only vaguely remember. It was nighttime and I was in the middle of my first transformation, as soon as I woke up,” he said the words with a hard look and an aggressive tone. You felt no guilt. You hadn’t cursed him, nor did you know why he was cursed; who’s to say that none of the brothers deserved what happened? Instead of causing a fight you waited.
“I want to know your side so try to recall.” You snapped. He glanced at you and sighed.
“She said it was our punishment for being arrogant, but I don’t really know what that means.”
“Arrogance? Did your dad do something? Your brothers?” He shook his head and shrugged.
“No I don’t know. I wish I could tell you, but I have no clue.” He said.
“See, I want to help you, or at least I might help you. But if my mother...cursed your family then I want to know for a fact that I’m not freeing monsters instead of people.” You said, looking at Chanyeol intensely, searching his eyes for the truth. He returned the gaze with his own, and he looked as if he believed his own words.
“Fine. I get that. Your mom meant a lot to you. But she had no right--”
“And you have no right to speak about her and what she had the right to do! Fuck you!” You exploded standing up and snatching up the first aid and marching away.
“I’m not trying to make you angry I just...my brothers and I miss our family and our friends. Werewolves are supposed to age, but we don’t. I’d almost rather take the sickness over this. It’s ten years since I’ve seen a grey hair or a new wrinkle. Please, just help us.” He pleaded from behind you, his voice breaking with his begging. You paused at the island in your kitchen and set the stuff down slowly. You turned around and your heart clenched. His eyes were filled with tears, and as you watched his tears fell, thick and quickly.
“I--”
“I know that you think we’re monsters and maybe we deserved this, but who deserves this life? And who deserves to give someone this life?” He asked quietly. You closed your eyes and deliberated on what to do.
Help them. You have to. A mistake has been made.
You pause at the idea. Was this the right thing? You were planning on doing it anyway, but with stipulations, but maybe they deserved freedom.
“Okay. But I’m gonna need your help.”
“Done.”
“But,” you continued pointing a finger at him “You can’t tell your brothers. I don’t really trust them, and I’m not even sure I really trust you. And if I ask you to do something while I’m helping you, do it immediately. Understand?”
He beamed, despite the way the expression must have been pulling at his bruises.
“Yes! Yes! Anything you want.”
You nod, satisfied that you can get what you need done. “Okay. I’ll see what I can do.”
Hi, I hope you're still accepting scenarios~ Could I please request a scenario with Chanyeol. Where the reader (the girl he likes) has selective mutism and he tries to get her talk again.
Quiet Times.
“Hey, why does she never talk?”, Chanyeol asked as he nudged his friend.
He gestured towards a girl sitting by herself in the corner. His friend looked over and shrugged.
“I don’t know. I don’t think I’ve ever heard her talk before. Even when the professor calls on her she ignores him”.
That sort of peaked Chanyeol’s interest. Day after day he found himself watching her and soon, he started to develop a crush on her. She never spoke but the way she reacted when she caught Chanyeol staring at her was the cutest thing in his eyes. She’d blush and start blinking really fast while avoiding his gaze; he couldn’t help but smile whenever she did that.
But then one day, his curiosity got the better of him. He walked over and took a seat next to her in class. She immediately scooted close to the window, putting as much space between them as possible.
“Hi, I’m Chanyeol”, he greeted with a smile, holding out his hand.
———
Everybody always left you alone. Even the professors stopped calling on you after a few weeks. So why was this boy paying you so much attention? You stared at his hand, not even attempting to greet him or shake his hand. The boy must’ve noticed everybody looking at them and realized that you weren’t going to return his pleasantries.
“Well, that’s embarrassing”, he chuckled nervously after clearing his throat and wiping his hands on his pants.
You quickly turned your attention back to your notebook and started doodling idly on the corner waiting for the lesson to begin.
———
“Here, you can have this”, Sally said as she gave you her extra cupcake.
“Thank you”, you replied smiling.
You were in the middle of unwrapping the cupcake when…
“So you can talk!”, Chanyeol said as he took a seat next to you.
You froze up immediately.
“Y-you’re friends with Chanyeol?!”, Sally stuttered in disbelief.
You quickly shook your head in response.
“Ahh, that hurts. We sit next to each other in class and you still don’t consider me a friend yet?”, Chanyeol joked.
You dutifully stared down at the cupcake.
“I-I’ll leave you two alone”, Sally said as she quickly gathered her things and left.
You looked at her rushing away wanting to tell her to please stay here with you but your words failed you. You packed up your things, but as soon as you stood up, Chanyeol gently grabbed your arm.
“Can you sit here with me for a little while?”, he asked sincerely.
It was something about the way he sounded and looked that made you sit back down. You fidgeted with the cupcake.
“Your name is ______, right?”, he said as he looked down.
Silence.
“I’ve always been watching you, did you know that?”, he continued.
“I don’t know what it is, but I can’t seem to leave you alone. You’re always on my mind”.
You took off the wrapper and placed it down next to you and timidly took a bite from the cupcake as he spoke. The way he spoke about you and described the way he saw you every day was really endearing. Suddenly he stopped talking and you peaked up at him.
“Is that cupcake that good?”, he asked with a slight smirk.
“Mm”, you answered absentmindedly.
His whole face lit up as yours flushed bright red. You quickly got up and practically sprinted away from him.
“I’ll see you tomorrow!”, he shouted after you.
———
After that day, Chanyeol made up his mind that he’d try and help her open up and talk more. Everyday he’d sit with her while she ate and talked about anything and everything to see if he could get a reaction out of her.
———
Chanyeol just finished telling you the dumbest joke and he was sitting there looking at you expectantly. The joke wasn’t funny at all but you couldn’t stop the smile from creeping onto your face from the way he looked at you with that wide grin. His smile was really contagious.
“Is that a smile? Did you just smile?!”, he asked excitedly.
You quickly looked away.
“No! You can’t try to hide it now, you just smiled!”, he raved.
He must’ve noticed you turning red because he finally calmed down.
“Okay, okay. I’m sorry, forgive me?”, he asked softly.
You turned around to your original position and he continued talking again. That became your daily routine. You ate while he talked. If you were to be completely honest with yourself, he was really growing on you. Maybe you could try to talk to him tomorrow. Maybe.
———
You finished eating and started unwrapping your cupcake as Chanyeol rambled on. Just as you were about to take a bite, Chanyeol stopped mid-sentence and quickly took a bite.
“Hey!”, you involuntarily shouted.
Chanyeol’s jaw dropped. His shock quickly turned into amusement.
“So that’s the secret to getting you to talk, taking your food”, he mused.
“I should’ve done that earlier”.
You sat there looking down, trying to muster up all of your courage. You took a deep breath and exhaled.
“Y-you have frosting on your nose”, you mumbled, almost inaudibly.
“Huh?”, Chanyeol asked, bringing his face a little closer.
You quickly took a look at him and looked back down. You touched your nose, trying to tell him what you said. He looked at you with a confused expression. You sighed and timidly reached out towards him and wiped the frosting from the tip of his nose.
“There”, you muttered, wiping the frosting from your finger with a napkin.
“O-oh, thank you.So you’re comfortable talking to me now?”, Chanyeol asked quietly.
“I-I think so…”, you said as you shyly looked at him.
He let out a laugh of relief as he held onto his chest.
“I-I’ve never p-properly greeted you”, you mumbled.
You sat up straight and looked him dead in the eyes and tried to smile your best smile. He returned his signature grin, his eyes sparkling with delight. You shakily held out a hand.
Urm hallo c: Could I please have a scenario were Chanyeol tries to help you bake cupcakes but it goes terribly wrong. =•.•= AND CANZ I HAS LIKE A LOT OF FLUFFY FLUFF. KAMSAMNIDA <3
“Can you hand me the eggs?”, you asked.
Chanyeol dutifully brought them over. He took the seat across from where you were standing and propped his elbows up on the table, resting his head in his hands.
“Why won’t you let me do anything?”, he pouted.
“I said I’d let you frost them”, you answered.
“Fine. Where is the frosting anyways?”, he asked looking around.
“Uhh, it should be on the counter I think”, you replied.
“I don’t see anything”, he mumbled.
“Oh no, did I forget to buy it?!”
“Looks like it”, he said matter of factly.
“I’ll go run to the store real quick to get it then. Since you said you wanted to do something, could you scoop these in the pan and put them in the oven?”, you asked.
His eyes lit up and he quickly nodded his head. You slid the bowl to him and he continued to mix all the lumps out.
“Fill them only up half way and preheat the oven to 350 degrees”, you reminded him.
You quickly grabbed your keys and were out the door.
———
“Fill them up half way”, Chanyeol whispered as he carefully scooped the cake mix into the tins.
“The oven is preheated. Now all I have to do is put them in the oven and check on them in about 20-30 minutes. But she should be back by then”, he mumbled to himself.
He walked into the living room and decided to watch a bit of tv while waiting.
———
You got home and were greeted with Chanyeol sleeping on the couch, slightly drooling.
“Chanyeol! How long have the cupcakes been in the oven?!”, you screamed as you dropped everything and ran over to check on them.
“I don’t know, what time is it?”, you said groggily as he sat up and rubbed his eyes.
“3:43!”, you yelled.
“Oh, then about 20 minutes”, he answered calmly.
You sighed a breath of relief as soon as you heard his answer and saw that the cupcakes were still okay. But then you realized something as you looked at them…
“Chanyeol, honey”, you said as calmly as possible.
“Hmm?”, he answered as he put his arms around your waist.
You turned around to face him and held onto his arms.
“Why aren’t there any cupcake liners in there?”, you asked sweetly.
“Uhh…”, he replied hesitantly, loosening his hold on you.
“Did you at least grease them before putting in the mix?”, you asked through clenched teeth.
“I-I was supposed to do that?”, he asked with a nervous smile, fully letting you go, trying to back up a little.
