WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE GAVE HER OPIUM?! HOW THE HELL WOULD SHE HAVE GOTTEN HER HANDS ON THAT?! IM CALLING BS!
WHAAAT?! WHAT DID HE SAY?! THIS NASTY MAN?! ABOUT HIS ROBE ON HER?! WHY DOES THIS FEEL LIKE IT WAS ALL PLANNED?!!!!??!?
The hell does she mean? What lives in the cemetery? Zombies? Giant spiders? Mushrooms? Francis????? What lives there?????
EW THE OLD MAN IS GETTING FREAKY! I knew he was going to do be this way at some point just based on that first conversation with Noemi but still!
NOOOOOO! Noemi is having the dreams too? I she gonna end up like her cousin? What the hell is this sickness?!?!?! What are they hiding?!?!
“You don’t believe I can tend to my wife?” - Mexican Gothic, pg. 53
NO, I DON’T THINK YOU ARE EVEN TENDING TO HER!!! There is no way he loves her and there is no way all those little creeps aren’t hiding something!!
I know the author probably did this on purpose, but I find it funny how everything about her is the opposite of everything in that family/house. She likes conversation and music. The Doyles like silence. She likes good coffee. The Doyles like terrible tea. I love that contrast. I think it also serves as a good point of friction. It is hard to solve problems when almost everything that has to do with it entirely goes against who you are as a person.
