"A Night of Fright Is No Delight"

It goes without saying Badou manages to find his own trouble, despite the peace that prevails among the residents of the island. The fate of the world isn't on his shoulders, his humanity isn't in danger-- everything else is normal!

And what's more normal than responding to the rumors of a monster roaming the mall at night? He may not be the Hardy boy(s) or the Winchesters but there's usually some bit of truth in rumors like this. The mall could have plenty to keep guarded, merchandise in the least.

He'd spent the night close to closing time holed up in one of the dressing rooms, and once the lights went out the flashlight had come out. Badou isn't exactly fond of the darkness (though it's rather fond of him), and the stillness as he moves towards one of the employee only parts of the mall is eerie.

"Mmm, so you're the one who was causing all that ruckus a couple of weeks ago." Despite working for the AIPD he seems rather relaxed about the fact he's face to face with someone that caused disruption with the use of bombs.

A hand extended out, palm facing the other, "I'm not here to arrest you or anything." He wasn't even in uniform or let alone on duty right this moment.

"I just wanted to talk."

She's drenched. It had been raining outside last night but that's not something Luna would know. She looks like she's stirring from whatever, but does not make an attempt to move.

Was she outside sleeping or...did something else happen?

for most, nommin island might have been like a paradise- beautiful, sunshiney, a deserted wonderland full of bountiful resources where someone could truly kick back and relax.

of course, that was on the condition that you didn't find a certain red-haired man laying face down in the sand, that you didn't assume he was a dead body washed up in the surf, and you didn't freak out at his sudden appearance, unmoving, the water lapping at his heavy body.

and really, he might have been dead. even as the the water from the beach draws over him, he doesn't move, and even as the unbearable heat of the summer sun beats down on him, he doesn't stir.

okay, this guy really might be dead.

Now, this isn't the first time that Danny's woken up in a strange place. Waking up and immediately being taxied to some sort of apartment was new, though. Usually it was either Vlad's basement or somewhere in the Infinite Realms.

...Was this one of the Realms? No, he's pretty certain there would be more ambient ectoplasm in the air. Where the heck was he, then? He squints as he disembarks from the train to a station he's never heard of, rubbing the back of his neck as he looks around.

Well, Toto, looks like we're not in Kansas anymore.

Okay. He can work with this. Just — ask around. Walk right up to someone and hope the confusion on his face is easy enough to read. He's just a simple small town boy lost in some strange big city, and he'd very much like directions back home.

So he sucks in a deep breath and steels his nerves. He's going to waltz right up to someone and just ask --

Oh, sweet sugar honey iced tea! Is that someone flying around on a giant bird?! Danny's eyes widen as he watches the sight, and next thing he knows he's making his way to the nearest rooftop for a closer look, wide eyed in both awe and trepidation. Instinctively, his body flickers out of the visible spectrum as he does so.

But his presence can still surely be felt -- even while his powers are significantly suppressed by whatever forces are behind this strange place.

"So hey now that we're on the topic of explosives I have to ask ya' something important!"

It was somehow impressive that Architect managed to find someone in the business of "big bada booms" this early on after being dragged here. But now that she did have a partner in crime the doll needed some information as to where the extent of their abilities really laid.

"You see I got one of these little pea shooters and honestly, it just ain't my style like this." Or well it would be. There was just one thing missing from it.

"You think we could load this with some explosives? Fit something really REALLY tiny into a pellet that small."

"Whoa..." Kugisaki is amazed with these LONG NECKS. "You think they'd let us get on them if we tried?" Probably not a good idea, actually. They're so tiny compared to these giants. If she got any closer, they may step on her.

"I wonder..." Oh, she's pulling out her phone to take a few quick pictures!

See, the thing about being a city boy is you don't know a pine tree from an oak. You don't know an anthill from a pile of crap-- actually, forget that one. That's obvious. Whatever, Badou's a city boy. The sprawling fields, the too-noisy forest, the chill in the air-- it's eerie. Leaves him feeling uneasy, his single eye flicking to every bit of movement he thinks he sees, every shadow.

"If you're gonna bury me out here and lied about that stupid wood thing, I'm not gonna go easy. I will shit, I'm not afraid to."

The company sucks, also! Badou doesn't know how Deidara convinced him to look for their own Yule Log things, but here they are. It's still late afternoon, but the redhead knows it gets dark quick out here in the wild.
