Well, That Escalated Quickly
Special shoutout to everyone who has ever read any part of A Drop of Black Coffee in the Pot. Sometime in the last couple of weeks, that fic reached 200,000 hits.
Seriously, thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has read it, and especially to those who have then created something because of it. That fic is near and dear to my heart, and I never expected it to have this kind of reception. To see people who read it realize something about themselves or feel inspired to create something of their own sparks so much joy, I lack the words to fully explain it.
Thank you all for all the kind words and kudos, and for just being there whenever the internet led you to that fic. I am honored to be part of the BSD community in my own weird way.
To the stray gay dogs.
The Duality of Quill
The neurodivergent urge to know what the fandom “really” thinks of me paired with the near blinding awareness that I’m too soft and squishy for the truth and I’ll probably make this face.
11 & 17 for the ask game!
Oooh... these are fun.
Number 11: I go through phases where things get stuck in my head. Ask me about the K Pop Demon Hunters track "Soda Pop." (Please don't.) Fortunately, these days, that has been the rap bridge of Starset's "Toksik" (honestly my favorite track from their newest album).
Number 17: I'm in a constant state of not knowing what I believe. Call it a product of being a generally indecisive human being lol. I do know that when Mercury is in retrograde, I often blame everything that happens with technology and communication on that fact. Unrelatedly, the only thing I really carry around for luck is the omamori I bought last time I was in Japan for achieving my dreams. :)
Less an ask and more a message of encouragement, but our moot Lithia shared the ongoing incident of people copy/pasting your fics, and I'm sorry that's happening. Why people think this is a good idea is beyond me, but if I can support you in anyway besides a random ask, let me know. Also, the one shots I have read of yours, I've really enjoyed, and I really appreciate you writing them. :)
ahhh thank you so much for the message!! i really appreciate it!!
it was pretty wild because the person was even pretending that they're now trying a ~new writing style~, but that writing style was just copying my fic word-for-word oTL
and in the process of reporting that fic, i've discovered that there were many others that copied my other fics word-for-word........ well, anyway, i'm waiting for all those to be taken care of ^^;;;
i've privated my fics in the meantime, but they should be up again soon!! thank you so much again for your kind words <3
