small feet scampered quickly across the hallway floor, clawing clicking conspicuously against hardwood as king bolted at the sound of the door opening. since being dropped off in front of this house and being told this would be where he was living ( ridiculous; this wasn’t the owl house, and that’s where king’s lived ), he hadn’t encountered another soul, beyond himself. so hearing the scrape of a key in the lock, followed by the turning of the knob, had startled a surprised ‘weh!’ from the titan and sent him scurrying. climbing the couch was a simple feat, and by the time the front door had opened enough to admit the newcomer, king was already standing upright on its back cushions, paws up and fur standing on end.
❝ you! intruder! ❞ the fact that they clearly had a key meant little to him. ❝ who said you could come in here! ❞
