My “favorite” is the infantilization of Pyro. It’s popular with newer people to the fandom nowadays but it’s always “Pyro’s not aware of anything! He’s got the mind of a child so you can’t ship him with anyone since he won’t be aware of it too!!!” When we have direct examples from the comics that they are clearly aware of what’s going on and they enjoy killing just like everyone else. Just because he enjoys seemingly “childish” things does not mean he’s a child or unaware. For fuck’s sake, Heavy treated him the same way and Pyro basically said “fuck you” by crushing his lighter

Literally so true n like with Pyro it's a whole different bag. Infantilization of Scout and sometimes even Sniper is just based in like this weird fandom idea that once there's a gap bigger than ten years in a fictional cartoon relationship it's Problematic, but w Pyro it's completely based in ableism and the infantilization of people with delusions/schizophrenia and also the association of speech with intelligence or even personhood. They are an adult and they kill people and they communicate with the people around them and clearly make conscious choices and are a person, not a dog

Oh my god finally some appreciation for Beetlejuice’s femininity! He’s so unbelievably attractive as a woman and he’s the cutest thing when he’s Bettyjuice 🥺 I love that he can be Lydia’s brother/uncle figure while also being gal pals with her

Beej’s whole thing is being gross but like, he somehow finds a way to just be so extremely gorgeous in how utterly himself he is??? He’s so handsome as a man and she’s so beautiful as a woman and they could literally rock any kinda look with any combination of pronouns.

It makes me so happy seeing this ghoul trying so hard to be around Lyds in so many roles that she doesn’t really have around her much otherwise because I think she really needs someone who cares about her and actively stands up for her as a friend and a guardian. (Even if Beej can be a bit oblivious and act without thinking and stuff but he’s trying his best, he’s just a lil dumbass <:o) /pos)

And I think she also really needs someone who just emits this unrestrained energy of confidence in so many ways while still being a sensitive person? Beej, even if he tries to be gross and disliked, is such an oddly good person to just exist around cus he’s genuinely something to strive for??? He just has so much good to teach people about self-image by just being himself and I just- AUGH!!!!! I LOVE THE BASTARD SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!

Also, it’s so funny to me how people say it’s out of character because even before we got the backstory, he was known as a lady killer (in both ways) so is it so shocking a condom broke or something? Like there were so many theories before the confirmation about it being accidental and he didn’t know. Or he was in Scout’s life in the background. It’s just that people are so obsessed with making the mercs “good people” but they aren’t. Killing and torture is fine but cheating and ditching a kid? Gasp!!!

I mean on one hand I really understand it, a character being a parent who essentially abandoned their child is something that would hit a lot closer to home than a character being like a cartoon assassin. A lot of people's parents did split up or did leave their families so I do understand why someone would want to kind of find refuge in a fictional Ideal Family where Spy never left and tossed the pigskin around with his weenie Boston son or whatever dads are supposed to do idk. I get WHY people want like a Spydad au or whatever! But also I feel like it's just kinda immature to think that children can only exist within marriages and love can only be "real" if you stay with someone forever. People take Spy leaving as like, a sign that he "didn't really love" Scout's ma but I don't think that's true. I think even if you like him you can still accept that he made a bad decision, and I also do think it's an in-character decision lol. He's a cloak-and-dagger genre parody. Whenever James Bond gets married, she ends up dead. I think it's in-character for Spy to have left Scout and I also think it's in-character that he feels bad about it. This is like his One actually serious bit of lore let him have this

But sadly the answer is no.

I wish I could take commissions, and I used to in the past, but I found myself unable to draw for others without it making me miserable to do so.

I do technically take requests but it’s more of a gamble, I love people having ideas for things they wanna see me draw and my askbox is always open for those who wanna take a chance and see if it’ll be a hit or not-

But that’s the thing, you can never be sure if I WILL draw the thing or not as it completely depends on my mood that day and my attention span… plus it’ll most likely be just a small doodle too ú-ù

Again tho, I’m always happy to be given a chance to draw something someone wants to see so you’re always welcome to send requests/suggestions!! :o)

Sorry if this is intrusive, but I'm the same way and sometimes its comforting to know someone else experiences similar feelings. I'm sorry you're feeling like this rn, I know how much it sucks and how difficult it is to not be so hard on yourself. I hope you feel better

It’s just one of those weeks rn. A lot’s been happening and not happening when it should etc. etc. so it’s been harder to deal with, you know? I’m feeling a bit better, I talked it out with the person the situation was revolving around and I actually might’ve made a new friend from the ordeal? So I’m still glad my impulses did what they do best, even if it caused me a lot of grief in the moment!!

Thank you so much for your kind words, you’re not being intrusive at all! I quite appreciate stuff like this, and while things had simmered down and I didn’t actively need the comfort anymore, it IS very nice to know there’s others like me out there in the future! :o)))
