❝ ain’t the questions that’s the problem , it’s the way you’re goin’ about 'em. listen : we know they’re scum - we know y’all aren’t friends. hell , 𝘸𝘦 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 that y’all aren’t friends. don’t matter, though. they wanna 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 some sorta camaraderie , SHIT... they want some semblance of comfort; somethin’ to 𝐬𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐥 as if they’re not lookin’ down the barrel of a fully loaded gun , five seconds away from fryin’ on the chair. ❞ 𝚌𝚘𝚕𝚍 & 𝚌𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚘𝚞𝚜 , and something not - quite right makes its home on the tongue, settling in the crook of your cheek and jaw, and 𝙛𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 in a pool of bile and spit. it’s hatred that warms the body at night, 𝚆𝙷𝙴𝙽 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝚆𝙾𝚁𝙻𝙳 𝙶𝙾𝙴𝚂 𝙳𝙰𝚁𝙺 𝙰𝙽𝙳 𝚃𝙷𝙴 𝙲𝙾𝙻𝙳 𝚂𝙴𝚃𝚃𝙻𝙴𝚂 𝙸𝙽. a dying flame fighting to burn in the pit of your broken stomach as old, violent wounds begin to shed their stitches and ignite an ancient pain in the ART of the 𝚟𝚒𝚘𝚕𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗 𝚘𝚏 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚏𝚕𝚎𝚜𝚑.
❝ you don’t get a kid to admit they done somethin’ wrong by scolding them and making ‘em scared. don’t confront ‘em head on. 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘮 '𝘦𝘮 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯. convince them everything’s okay. you just wanna know. free of judgement, no punishment. HELL , offer them some candy or a juice or sumn’. get it ? 𝙞𝙩'𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙛𝙪𝙘𝙠𝙨. loosen ‘em up, calm them down. play a game of pretend, i don’t care. ask the RIGHT questions, get the RIGHT answer. simple. ❞
