Am I the only one that everytime there is a new chapter I just search for all the Zoro I can find there? no?

anyways, why did Oda draw Zoro so prettily in this chapter, he is so attractive ;_;

Marco’s a philosophical flake and I love him for it.

Look at that zoned-out face, contemplating god/God and all that. Flake vs. Earthquake? Only someone comfortable in their strength could do that (or the next candidate for the Darwin Award). 

Luckily Marco has this guy on his side:

And that Marco has absolute confidence in him:

Look at Marco being all rag-doll carried, and unlike the captain of the Hearts, enjoying it. However, Izou is more of a known entity to 

to Marco than Luffy ever was to Law. And it’s Marco who’s kinda in the Luffy role here. Love it.

I kept that puff of smoke at the top of the frame, because I think it’s meant to indicate Izou being all steamed up.

Marco being so casual makes me feel vindicated for the time I described Marco in a fic as so laidback he made Zoro look like the energiser bunny. However, I can’t find that reference now. BUT I’ve always described him as laidback. Hhm.

 Anyway. The Izou and Marco broship there is too cute (and if you want a fic where it’s a bit more than a broship, check out the latest one from doublejoint on AO3. I’ll put a link in the comments).

They might be playing reactive roles, and reddit dudebros gonna call ‘em weak and whatever (Marco too probably), but they sure are getting a lot of screen time. And Kaidou is a beast. 

But look! Ikkaku, braidy guy, fedora guy, mask person (I’m holding out for them not to be a guy), Jean Bart, Clione is it (or Uni?). Ah, love em! Oh, both Clione and Uni are there, and is that Caribou panicking in the background?

Of course it’s an aged up Momonosuke in dragon form and not Kaidou, and Luffy would no doubt still eat him if he got on his nerves. The giant pink Momo dragon against the giant blue Kaidou will look awesome when animated.

And lastly, though not chronologically, have a feral swordsman:

Oh, also, sulong! Kawamatsu and Boss Hyogoro still in the fray. Lots of lore or hints of lore dropped, from Zoro to vegapunk to lunararians! The plot thickens like a bowl of o-shiruko.

So 1023 is by far one of many most interesting chapters since the beginning and middle way of wano

Zoro & Sanji facing off King & Queen but a minor hench was trying to interfere with their battle by aiming at Zoro but was saved by Kawamatsu

Marco starting to get all philosophy on us as usual and getting distracted by his own thoughts didn't see an attack coming his way

Him being saved by Izo could be me but I could've swear they sounded a bit like Zoro & Sanji with the bickering

Speaking of which Zoro being protective of Sanji is now canon and vise versa (I hope Sanji doesn't get a major side effect with using his suit I'm worried now 😬)

And bastard Queen keeps on bringing up the fact that Sanji is one of Judge's experiments and not letting it down

Lunarian? Did I miss something or is this new? But Sanji telling Queen off that he is different from his worthless family.

The fact that Kawamatsu & Hyogoro are being reminded by Zoro's sword skills are a flashback to a wano warrior

Now things are becoming more interesting with Zoro perhaps a finally backstory for him 🤔

Nico & Ino's full fledged forms I'm excited for this!!

Last but not least MOMO'S AMAZING TRANSFORMATION!! By far one of the many most mind blowing chapter!!
