Luffy's face when someone calls Shanks a coward once again makes me VERY curious how things will go once he learns about the whole Barto thing. (Also he's come such a long way from the little brat who did, in fact, also call Shanks a coward.)

A bit of Elbaf pondering.

I'm curious if Loki will still be disparaging against humans by the end of this arc, or learn to see things from their perspective, as Ida spoke of.

Loki's dislike of humans is why I'm still unsure if he truly cared about Lola.

We know Loki does value and empathize with Shaggy, who may or may not be a human, and idolized Xebec, though I guess I'm not exactly sure where the line is drawn for Loki between his negativity towards humans specifically, and his overall closed off emotional state towards trusting anyone, regardless of species.

Harald wanted to foster connections between giants and humans, though ultimately took the wrong approach, even with Ida's guidance.

And in the present, we see the consequences of Harald's misstep regarding other things he tried to understand, as discussed here. He failed to find a balance between valuing warrior's pride and valuing the library/school.

Aside from Collun, the kids of Elbaf in the present have no warrior's pride, which all but goes to show that Harald's influence resulted in the old ways being mostly thrown out, both the good and the bad.

I reread a few scenes and am thinking more about Loki's disparaging views towards humans, alongside Ida's sentiments here, and am wondering if Loki'll still think this way about humans, after whatever happens with Imu.

Luffy and Zoro have both done things to make Loki dislike them, so it'll be tough for the two to earn his respect I think, especially with Luffy liking the guy who chained Loki up for so long.

Had a quick thought about the Log Pose and the current position of the Straw Hats.

If I remember, the crew departed from EH Island before their Pose reset there, so I believe that it should still have the coordinates for the islands after Wano currently?

Time for one One Piece posting. 1132 isn't quite here yet, though it's been a while and I had wanted to get down a few ideas.

I gathered a few connecting thoughts about these two, as of chapter 1131.

Yamato and Loki - While their intentions were different, the two each took a devil fruit from their respective father. Both are known as demon/demonic children and are in chains when Luffy meets them, have early interactions with Luffy where he ends up attacking each, and have some connection to someone from Luffy's past, Ace/Shanks respectively.

The two both claim to be a legendary figure, Oden/the Sun God, while being insensitive to the feelings of others in the case of Yamato. Momo, who is still processing that his father is dead, and Luffy, who was in a hurry to help his friends, and wasn't able to in part due to Yamato delaying him. It's yet to be seen if Loki is concerned over such things, though he does seem more sinister than Yamato at least. A darker version of that character perhaps.

These similarities leave me wondering. Should he accept Loki's request, will Luffy end up finding himself occupied, should his crew need him to settle the situation with the Giants of the Grand Fleet? Just as he was when the samurai needed backup from him.
