Where were you when I was curled up on the floor of that pale room of ours, covered in blood, thinking I’d die alone? The words didn’t leave Gin’s mouth, but the seething hurt of his aura was undeniable, a pained expression contorted with anger – a thinly veiled emotion. If Aizen was to pick at the scab of Gin’s worry, his anxieties about the sole two he cared for needing him, he’d best be prepared for the bloodshed that came from picking at such a large scab. And now, the consequences of Aizen’s careless words struck, slamming him into the nearest structure, half-collapsed as it was – the impact of the Muken prisoner’s body caused loose roof tiles to slide off into a clatter onto the ground. At the very least Gin hadn’t lashed out with so much power that Aizen went crashing through several obstacles. No, Gin kept the other man close, he didn’t want to disgrace whatever meagre trust Shunsui placed in him to keep Aizen on a leash.
But Gin was still fucking pissed enough to not let those words fly without a proper gut punch in response. Seething, he stood before Aizen with Shinso at his left, the empty white sleeve draped upon his right side swayed with the forward step Gin took, a hollow reminder.
“You’re only out here helpin’ now because they hauled your sulkin’ ass out from your lil timeout box. They need ya, Soul Society needs ya, but I don’t.” A stinging lie Gin willed to sound like truth, his nose snarled and his teeth showing with a bittered grin devoid of all mirth. A mask of armor raised in hopes of hiding the hurt he inflicted upon himself by speaking such words. “Think before openin’ your mouth at me again.”
