GENRES || F1 Racer!Chan, Mechanical Engineering Student!Reader, Friends To Lovers AU, Fake Dating AU, Fluff, Humour, Angst
SUMMARY || Lee Chan didn't know which was worse: the fact that he still liked you since high school (despite shutting down completely whenever you were around) or the fact that you wanted to meet up with him... for a research paper. But hey, he was willing to take any crumbs as long as he got an opportunity to make you realise he was a super cool racer now. That is, assuming he didn't crash under the intense pressure.
Or, in which, you never knew writing a paper on the boundary concept would make you question the boundaries between you and Chan.

“Take your time.” You cut him off, smiling softly at him. Chan felt his heart stutter. “You don’t need to act like you're okay. A few words of consultation cannot heal the wound in your heart so fast. So take your time now that you’re here. Just don’t forget that no matter what happens in life, we will always be rooting for you. Me, Seungkwan, your family and your other friends.”
Chan swallowed thickly, inhaling as slowly as he could through his nose as he mulled your words over his head. So no matter how cool he acted you would see through it, huh? A small smile tugged at the corner of his lip.
“Oh? This is the first time you smiled today.” You tilted your head a little, placing it on your palm as your elbow rested on the table. You smiled at him prettily.
Chan felt his stomach jump. “Wha- what do you mean? I smiled a lot today-” My cheeks feel like they’re on fire!
You laughed at his panicked reaction. “I meant a genuine one. Not the interview smile you give everyone. Ah, guess I should have become a counsellor instead, huh?”
“I thought you liked cars.” He muttered quietly, watching you as you stared at the distance through the huge glass window beside the two of you. You looked so dreamy like this, a soft smile playing on your lips before your eyes snapped back to his in surprise.
“Huh? How did you know that?” You asked, eyes widening in genuine shock. His neck pricked with heat. Was it considered stalking to know what your friend’s friend, who also happened to be your crush, liked? Scratching his neck awkwardly, he replied, “Uh… you always used to ramble about cars so I thought… Am I wrong? Aren’t you majoring in mechanical engineering?”
Your face lit up as though Chan had just told you that you had won a lottery. “You actually paid attention to me?”
If only you knew.
“Yes, yes I loved cars. I still do so hence the choice of education! Speaking of which…” You gave him a sheepish smile.
Chan felt an odd sense of foreboding. You weren’t in some kind of debt, were you?
“I actually had an ulterior motive for today’s meeting.” You said, eyes not meeting his eyes quite anymore. Even though you were looking at him hopefully, it wasn’t him exactly; more like his nose (Chan desperately hoped he didn’t have any icing on his nose.)
“I’m really, really sorry! I know you said I’m very nice and all that but, uh, ugh, I guess I am like the others… but I swear! I even wanted to meet up with you and talk to you and-”
“Can you just tell me what you want?” Chan pleaded. This was beginning to scare him. True it hurt him a little that your well wishes for him were probably not completely from your heart, but hey if you wanted a date with him then he would gladly agree to it-
you step off the train, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, ready to start the next chapter of your life at the world-renowned strathmore university. you were selected, no — you were hand-picked, out of thousands of qualified students, to be part of this elite community of scholars. the air is crisp, and even if the grounds are foreign, you can’t wait to make this place your home.
INTRODUCING: OPALSHQ !
OPALSHQ is a dark academia and secret society group based in the fictional, prestigious strathmore university. it will follow twelve second-year and twelve third-year students who have pledged allegiance to a secret society known as the opal society, a mysterious, riotous, and powerful group that has existed for over a century. current society president poppy nighmore’s recent disappearance causes tension within the organization –– all while new members are in the process of being initiated. this verse is loosely inspired by the life and death brigade from gilmore girls, dead poets society, and the riot club.
WHAT MAKES OPALSHQ UNIQUE ?
this group has twelve skeletons, but twenty-four characters, meaning each skeleton spans two characters: one second-year muse and one third-year muse, the latter of whom nominated the former to the society to succeed their position. we wanted the chance for writers with different but equally creative interpretations of a skeleton to explore these relationships, but also create meaningful plots between the various other characters. furthermore, the characters are divided by year: muns of third-year students will have the chance to create tasks and challenges for the second-year students in order to earn their characters’ respect and ultimately, their votes, too — the second-years, after all, are not full members of the society, yet.
the admin team has thought long and hard about how to facilitate exciting and development-driven interactions between the twenty-four characters of our verse, and we hope you join us on our adventure to uncover the secrets of the society. there will be plenty of plot drops, task, and exciting events in store !

She loosened her grip on the towel as he pulled it, and her closer to him as he kissed her hard. In those quick moments, she knew she was over her head, and she didn’t care. She wanted this. He wanted this. Why stop it?
He pulled back for a second, and he looked like he was going to back away. He really did want to be noble, she thought, but this was her friend. This was something more than she knew. She knew how she felt about him. she had to believe he felt something like it. He basically had told her that he did. As another clapped of thunder rolled over the house, she squeaked, and he went to pull her closer. She stood there in his arms with the towel now drooping closer to the floor in the dimly lit room. The light from the main living room was filtering lightly into this one.
She gripped onto his back, and the towel fell to the floor. His hands roamed her bare back for a second as the quick intake of air from him was enough to make her think maybe that wasn’t a good idea. When he released the breath that he had held onto for what seemed like a few minutes too long, she began to think how quickly she could grab the towel.
“Naughty girl.” He whispered in her ear as his hands trailed down her back and over to her sides. As he stood to his full height his hands still rested just under her chest as he was pondering what to do, the light in his eyes was enough to tell her he did want this too and she hadn’t made a major miscalculation. They were still standing toe to toe as he looked down into her eyes. “Are you sure about this?”
“Yes.” She said softly. It was almost a whisper, but it wasn’t.
“Princess.” He started to say, “I was right that amour would never do you justice.”
“Mitsuhide.” She said as he ran his fingers through her hair, almost reaching the ends and then wrapping his hands in the softness as he pulled gently back. Her head went backward with the pressure, and he attacked her neck in a way she had only read about. he showed every inch of her skin some attention there. It was overwhelming, and she was breathless as he moved up to her ear lobe, and he took it in his mouth and sucked lightly.
“Arrrgh.” She let out softly. He took that as need for more, she thought as he traced her jawline with tiny kisses and then repeated the process on the other side. Everything he did set her skin a light, and she was near panting with just that.
“Careful princess there is much more to come.” He said. “Pace yourself.”
“can’t” she managed to breath out.
“Ah, sweetheart, then we are going to have a hard time.” He said. “Because I plan on taking my time with you.”
“Damnit Mitsuhide!” she said.
“Not sorry, my love.” He said as he again untwinned his hands from her hair and then ran them down her sides. Barely touching her skin and then back up again as he again barely touched her. Then he ran his hands over the sides of her breasts, and she shook with a small tremor. “Has anyone ever touched you here?”
“No.,” she said softly.
“So no one has ever kissed you here either?” he asked. His voice was the only thing keeping her tethered to the world at the moment. She knew she couldn’t speak, so she shook her head. That was when he dropped to his knees in front of her. His head as perfectly level with her breasts. She looked down at him as he smiled faintly almost if he was in pain and he moved his head. He kissed under her chest first. Then between her breast in the valley of what was normally covered up cleavage. He took his time, and she was again panting, and she didn’t know what to do with her arms. She was concentrating on him and what he was doing. She let her head fall back for a moment as she relished the feeling of him there in front of her.
