Christmas 2019 Px4 Storm Farming Guide

Chapter 3 of the christmas event gives you 3 chances at Px4, not counting the chapter clear. Clearing the chapter is annoying, takes 3 turns, and involves fighting stuff that isn’t really fun to fight, so here’s a minimal “one-and-a-half turn” retreat farming method instead.

PREPARING YOUR ECHELONS

You will need two echelons and a dummy HG.

The fights for this chapter are kind of annoying. No matter what I use, I feel like I need to do at least a little repairs between runs. You can use full combat echelons - probably ARSMG - but if you have a strong incendiary grenade SMG like Vector and a high-level SG, I recommend the setup below: 

For the first echelon, a strong K11 is the best AR choice, but any other AR will work - just more slowly. The SG doesn’t matter as long as she has plenty of armor and HP. For the second, any AR will do. Positioning is important. The reason this works is Vector’s echelon will fight a crowd of enemies that won’t have time to damage her before her incendiary kills almost all of them, and she just needs a little help cleaning up; the other echelon will need to fight more organized enemies, but no Brutes, so an SG can solo tank just fine. M16 may also work here, I don’t know because I don’t have her speq lol xd. 

You’ll need at least decent equipment to make this work, and everyone (including the SG) should be using a PEQ to ensure their shots land. 

ECHELON PLACEMENT:

Positioning is important if you’re using the minimalized echelons. If they face the wrong matchups, you’re gonna be real sorry.

ACTUALLY DOING THE MAP: 

The echelon on the bottom moves over to the radar node, then moves back to its heliport and retreats. The echelon on the top ends its turn on the radar node. You’ll fight an enemy on each radar node, and each one has a chance to drop Px4.

Between turns, the top echelon will be attacked by a nearby Sangvis unit; this is the third Px4 drop chance.

YOU’RE DONE:

Walk back to the heliport and retreat your top echelon, then terminate/restart. Repeat as desired.

easy thunder farming guide

you will need two echelons

you need 1 AR and 1 SMG in each echelon, mostly just so that you’re shooting two things because there are a few too many enemies for one doll to kill without taking damage.

this one will be responsible for killing the more powerful enemies (dragoons & jaegers) that actually drop thunder. rescue fairy to taste. 

this one will just be cleaning up the rest of the map and doesn’t need a fairy if you don’t care that much

1. deploy both echelons like so

you’ll need to resupply them both either at the end of turn 1, or the start of turn 2, because your primary echelon will need to fight 6 enemies total

edit: you could instead deploy your weaker echelon first, have them fight the dinergates to the right, then swap with your stronger echelon and not have to resupply twice. either way works

turn 2: 

if your second echelon doesn’t have a fairy, you can just leave auto-fairy on (or, not, if you are a skeptic)

make sure to dodge the mortars. you will need to move your ARs to the side in battles against the mortars. they’re annoying but you gotta kill em

turn 3:

again, don’t forget to dodge the mortar.

Re-Ignition IV S-Ranking Guide

The normal retreat farming method for this map gives you 4 chances at MP7. S-ranking the map gives you a total of 9 chances plus some loot boxes, but this method is very anti-autopilot and costs a lot more resources than the retreat farming method. Up to you whether that’s worth it! 

You will need 3 combat ready echelons. At minimum, 1 AR with 2 FP handguns will do the job. Bear in mind that 404 Dolls have advantage on this map, so G11 and 416 are good choices. You can also just use standard combat echelons (which is what I’m doing in these screenshots, because I am lazy). 

Turn 0: Deploy one of your echelons at the command post. Before making ANY MOVES, pan up to Team 404 and set UMP45 AND UMP9 to Standby. If you forget to do this, the S-rank will become impossible.

Turn 1: Move out from your command post and deploy your second echelon like so. When you end your turn, 416 and G11 will move up, capture some of the nodes for the supply chain, and then retreat. UMP9 and UMP45 should stay where they are. 

Turn 2: Move your two echelons forwards as shown in the screenshot, then deploy your third echelon. You’ll need it for extra AP, but it also needs to be able to hold the command post for a couple turns. Don’t touch the UMP sisters. They should remain where they are this turn.

Turn 3: Resupply your echelon adjacent to the command post, then move as shown in the first screenshot above. Before ending your turn, set UMP9 to Eliminate. Don’t touch UMP45 yet. We’ll establish the supply line next turn. When you end your turn, UMP9 should move up, then retreat.

Turn 4: The helipads at the bottom of the map won’t spawn reinforcements, so you’re safe to move your third echelon off of the command post now. Move as shown in the first screenshot, then set UMP45 to Eliminate.

Turn 5: You’re home free. End turn.
