Malachi thought of Callum burning in perpetual hellfire, the bemoaning screech of his voice lost beneath the roar of the flames. That voice that sounded like nails dragging on a chalkboard, pierced him to the core, sending a chill down his back and bumps all over his arms and legs. Out of all the things he could have said, bringing Jasper was not one he had anticipated. He remembered the day Henryk introduced him, like he remembered everything. Clear as day. That smirk, as if he and Henryk had some type of secret between them. Malachi had despised him every since. [x]
