It started with the idea that Meredith would be a great Frollo, Knight-Commander instead of judge. She hunts mages as fiercely as possible, but one day she hunted a woman and found a baby with hands cold and covered with ice.
She would kill the child, if First Enchanter Orsino hadn't stepped in and pointed her guilty of murder in the steps of the Grand Cathedral. She is disgusted, but ends up with little option, because when she looks up to the bells, the fear for her soul fills her. So she leaves the boy to be raised in the Grand Cathedral as the bellringer, she names him Anders because she can't think of anything else.
Years pass, and he grows up with several problems. His only company being the statues that decorate the towers Merrill, Varric and Aveline he has named them. Every year there's a festival, and he decide to go there one year, using a costume of 'Justice' he moves around and parties.
Until he spots a ferelden dancing with a mabari, someone so beautiful and with a smile so grand he falls at the same moment. Also, I should mention that Isabela is the puppet master, she is also friends with Hawke - the mysterious Ferelden for which Anders fell in love, and for which Meredith harbors an obsession. Let's not forget Fenris, the new captain of the guard that doesn't trust mages, and that more than once ends up crossing both HAwke and Anders' path.
The rest as I continue to plan Au's I won't write
