13. Is your character bothered by the sight of blood? If so, in what way?

Very! No matter how long he has traveled with Jack, Nurm has never nor will he ever be comfortable at the sight of blood. It is engraved into his being that seeing blood is disturbing and provokes a sense of danger.

What is/was your character’s relationship with their mother like?

They were all they had, so the relastionship was very good. It wasn’t storyboard picture perfect where the mother and child were always understanding, They both got mad at each other but still loved one another very much. 

Is your character bothered by the sight of blood? If so, in what way?

Not at all. Living in Boomtown one sees a bit of blood if not from a noob that was in way over their head in griefing then someone who did not keep up with their potions to keep them resistant against the elements of the town. Axel is more than likely to spring into the action to stop the bleeding rather than shy away from the sight of blood.

What was your character’s favorite toy as a child?

Axel had a habit of ripping toys apart to add to his favorite amalgamation: Monsterface. While he personally couldn’t sew at the time his mother added parts to what used to be a stuffed sheep. It had many appendages and many faces from different toys stitched on in weird places.

5. On an average day, what can be found in your character’s pockets?

(Already answered, but why not copy and paste?)

On an average day Thace’s pockets are extremely light. A piece of paper, a small pen and a card for passing through particular areas. He does not like carrying much.

10. Does your character feel more comfortable with more clothing, or with less clothing?

Thace actually does not like clothing. At least shirts and tight suits, though he has gotten used to wearing them of course. If he had his way, he would be shirtless all the time. With the fluff on his chest and back and the way it grows it is very uncomfortable to have fitting fabric tamper it down. Sometimes he wishes he had his cub fuzz again and not his adult pelt. It was much softer and easier handle.

14. Does your character remember names or faces easier?

Being in the military it would help to remember names and titles in his opinion, but he remembers faces more than names. Yet, if he has a face to link along with a name, Thace might have a better time remembering. This is a good little trait of his for having a specific target on certain missions. Just give him a name and a picture and the hunt is on.

26. How does your character behave around children?

Thace is more relaxed and well mannered around children. He can be a bit more silly and playful and loves to teach them about interesting things if they show curiosity about it. He is kind, forgiving and very responsible. It would be one of the stupidest things someone could ever do if they threatened to hurt a child in front of/in Thace’s care because he is super protective of them. He believes all children should have a good childhood.

40. How does your character treat people in service jobs?

As long as they are polite and respectful to him he will mirror it back. If they are rude, Thace will stay tolerant and continue to be nice. But if they take out their frustrations like a jerk directly towards him he will politely tell them off. If they’re nice to him, he’ll be nice to them.

42. Has your character ever had a parental figure who was not related to them?

Yes. And he has so many mixed emotions regarding the subject. Anger. Sadness. Compassion. But more confused than anything else.

43. Has your character ever had a dependent figure who was not related to them?

Yes, as a cub and a teenager. Also Thace would sometimes get a bit lost when he was tiny, but he thankfully ended up in good hands until his mother was contacted and able to bring him home.

What was your character’s favorite toy as a child?

Toys were more of a luxury item than a common occurrence at the time, so children made their own fun. That being said, his favorite activity would be making flower crowns for the Valleys old iron golem, they’d rarely stay intact when it fought monsters but he enjoyed making it new ones when the others fell off. 

In the face of criticism, is your character defensive, self-deprecating, or willing to improve?

Willing to improve. Another trait engraved into him is being as efficient at something as he can be. Helpful criticism, asked for or not, should never be discarded in his opinion. Unless its criticism about the shop needing more cake. He is not making more cake, Jack. Parrots are starting to make their home in the rafters this is A  PROBLEM

What does your character find repulsive or disgusting?

Veal.  It’s one thing to eat a grown animal, they lived their life and were cared for up until they had to be executed for someones nourishment. Its an entirely different thing when a baby animal has to be needlessly killed. He finds it senseless to kill something so young from a practical and moral standpoint.

How quick or slow is your character to resort to physical violence in a confrontation?

Nurm appears to be the type that wouldn’t use violence even if it were the last possible option. He doesn’t seem to be a fighter type in any form so I imagine he’d try to run out of conflicts way rather than face it head on.

Describe a scenario in which your character feels most comfortable.

Renewing or remaking maps in his room. While he loves exploring with Jack and seeing new lands he finds it tranquil to have a place he can sit down and feel safe.

How does your character behave around children?

Nurm loves children. Specifically children of his kind because he knows how to interact with them. Children were a part of his life when he was still living in the Valley. It’s a firm believe among his kind that it takes a village to raise a child. He has done his fair part in the community to teach any children that hangs out with him life-skills, discipline them when they get too rambunctious, and also kept a watchful eye on them when their real parents had to work. Essentially he was almost like a parent towards any child in the village.

What does your character believe will happen to them after they die? Does this belief scare them?

For the time, Nurm believes that the Admin will place him in a new world when he dies, another place to explore and meet new faces. Not necessarily as another villager but he hopes to be one again when he is recreated when he dies.

In what situation was your character the most afraid they’ve ever been?

I don’t think I could pinpoint down only one scenario where Nurm has been deeply terrified. The current terror he has been exposed to is the water temple and fleeing for his life from the supposed Admin.
